How to piece templates from digital sewing patterns
Digital sewing patterns are great! I love that I can decide to do a project, pick fabrics from my stash, and print the pattern out without ever leaving my house. PDF downloads are also a great way to cut down on clutter in your sewing room. That said, there's always the prep work of building paper templates involved. This video is a quick overview of how I quickly and efficiently create paper templates from digital PDF sewing patterns.

Quilt Label Tutorial by Rachel Rossi Design
Thank you! I’ve had this cutter for 5-6 years and never changed the blade! I was at a loss
Nice but why do you need the interfacing
Cool!
Thank you! Such a useful tutorial.
My 60mm cutter had too much grease so I cleaned the blade and put it back cutter, now there’s a gap between the blade cover and the blade. Any suggestions?
you are gorgeous
Spring on Martelli blades
Who made this pattern? It would make a great quilt for.a.child. Thanks for great tutorials. ❤
Where can we get pattern for this?
How do you get new blade between the two pieces of plastic?
Thank you. This was so clear and helpful!
Hi! Thank you for this clear and helpful video! What is your recommendation for stitch length, please? (I may have missed this info - please forgive.)
Hi! What weight is the Guterman thread? Thanks for posting.
Çok güzel
Thank you for this very insightful technique. I wish I would've learned this sooner ;-)
Can't hear you
and when that doesn't work?
I never written any comments, but I'd like to thank you for your great video. I can perfectly hear you and it was very inspiring!
How to set up a sewing machine for Sashiko stitching
THANK YOU❤❤❤❤
counterclockwise?? No wonder I needed you to show me how!!! THANKS!
Thank you for this video. I recently purchased this rotary cutter and at the end of the first day it wasn’t cutting 100%. It would miss a thread - every time - like I damaged the blade by running it over a pin but I didn’t. So I thought they put cheap blades in with the cutter. I went to change out the blade and needed a video. I learned two things 1. It uses a completely different blade than most rotary cutters - for which I had none. 2. I needed to clean the blade. I followed your instructions and don’t have as many skipped threads as before but still have an occasional one. Thanks again.
I figured out the Bernina threader. It's the top method thru the little tension bar that you have to thread it through the back then pulling to the top of the machine. It's like going through a maze. Can anyone please help
Thank you Rachel.
Thank you for this video- we couldn't have changed the blade without it!
Thank you!!! Great video!!
excellant tutorial
Well done tutorial. Very clear info in short amount of time. I think I can do this!
Thank you Rachel ! Very helpful video 😊
Thank you 🧡😘♥️
Doesn't saishiko have a same length space between each stitch? I've also seen it done with multi coloured threads which looks beautiful.
Would you do the shell separate? Ie cut out the shell piece from the outer piece you showed sewing?
That was a very tasteful video. That's how I'm going to do mine. You seem like a sweet person!
Hi! I do not have a printer to print the pattern on freezer paper. How else can I get the pattern on the freezer paper? Would simply tracing it onto the paper side of the freezer paper work? Help!
I can’t thank you enough for this video! My new Bernette B77 arrived yesterday and I couldn’t get the needle to thread to save my life! The video from Bernette was absolutely useless and it was hard to see what they were doing. I hope everyone who buys a Bernina comes across your video. It definitely would have saved me a ton of frustration last night and I’m happy I found it today.
Thanks I was really having trouble with that ^_^
THANK YOU
VERY Intuitive and time saving. I installed my blade while the cover was off and then installed the cover. That was much easier for me. THANK YOU!
Can I use a cording foot?
I didn't realize you had a youtube channel. I purchased this pattern when it came out but I haven't tried it yet.
Very helpful tutorial. Thank you!

This so cute! Thank you for the great tips!
Thank you so much. Very helpful and clear.
The 10D foot is actually the best one to use.
How did you copy the pattern onto the freezer paper?
I think you can lightly iron the freezer paper to printing paper, cut it to size, and then print as normal. I think.
I still can’t get it urghhh.. I’ll keep trying
I think as other comments suggested it would be far more simple if after you ironed on piece #1 you then fold back the seam line to piece. #2. Here is where the change comes in. Instead of using a light box to try and line up your quarter inch you would use your quarter inch ruler and trim piece #1. This then gives you the correct seam allowance and a perfect line to line your next fabric piece to. I hope this makes sense. Trim your quarter inch seams BEFORE lining up your next piece 👍🏽😀
Very helpful.
