Demolition of 500' concrete seawall on Lake Harding.
(Hammering starts at 4:35) I was contracted by this customer to demolish and remove a 500' seawall that was beyond repair. Georgia Power will drawdown the water on this lake at best every 2 years but have stretched out to 6 years to allow property owners to do such projects. The water was scheduled to come back up a few days after I took the initial pictures. In the process of this demolition I found various pieces of metal used by the previous owner(s) scattered through out the concrete I'm assuming to add strength to the concrete wall. The craziest was a tricycle that I found in the middle of the wall, followed by what I believe was a bed frame.

This job is to fix an eroded area on the side of a hill. The water was running from the road, down the driveway, and down beside the Class 1 riprap causing the soil to wash away. I will scrape up the dirt from the washed areas, place a fabric down and place the Class 1 rip rap on top of it. I will shape the driveway to shed the water away from the steep bank to prevent additional eroding. 8:25 ...

Cool video! Why no more?
I was spending as much time editing as I was working the actual job. I will start back maybe this yr. and figure out a faster way to edit.
Is that a 30 inch bucket?
36"
Oh no, another music video! 😖☹️
What was the total time spent to make the repair?
For the entire driveway about 4 hrs
Nice video... I'm looking into doing that as well. I've got the same machine as you do.Is that a private person that you're cleaning for,or a company? Is there a standard width that you make the easement? Is everything just pushed out of the way or chipped? Thanks for the fine work you did.
why did he dig and put it where the slab will go, why not dig and put the soil out, dont you need to gravel compact and moist barrier there?
great video Sir!
Just got mine today. Look forward to making a video about it !
Let me know when u do 👍🏼. Mine is still going strong.

Putting money into this drive way would it be cheaper to use black top ??
Would be about 11 times the money for asphalt. Then you still have to seal coat the asphalt every few years.
I think Massive is a better way to describe that stump. I've got the kx057-4 as well ,, I've been looking at the Cat 313fgc model. Just for heavier things that is out of the capability of the kubota.
That's stepping it on up for sure
That's a big stump... Good job.
Massive !
where to buy
Check the blue diamond website for you local distributor
Weak. Zero turn could have done this
Totally agree, maybe even a good push mower

I hate sprinkler systems and the cable guy.
Watched AT&T put a fiber optic line literally under the sod itself yesterday
Thanks for the video...now I know this machine can handle my relatively puny pine stumps. Great job Hey do you think the KX-057 can knock down 50 foot tract pines? (about 9 in dia. chest height)
Yes 👍🏼
What’s an estimate of what you charged for this type of job.
That one was about $1400 . There are a lot of factors that go into that price though I can do that same job in a different location for a $1000 or that same job in a different location for $2,000.

I am looking at getting one just like this. I am worried about the bottom tines not having a bar running along them to tie them together towards the front. Are they bending at all?
You will bend something on the tractor before those tines bend
Residential Dirt Work Thanks!
My husb bent the 1 tine on the grapple getting out a huge 3ft rock in the drive. He said he could hit it back over. It was bent a tiny bit. The guy I bought if from said it could be used to dig out rocks. I thought I needed a tooth bucket. I thought grapple was to dig surface roots out not a huge rock.
@@2Ryled bent a tine on a rake just like that one or one similar?
@@ResidentialDirtWork bent the tine on a grapple hook the bottom part digging up a huge rock.
What does a demo like this pay?
what exactly do you mean?
@@ResidentialDirtWork I was asking how much you charged for this demolition.
@@ccmch31 $5 per sq ft, I think the square footage was somewhere around 11 or 1200

Looking at purchasing a Kubota kx0-57. Just wondering if I could haul it in my 16' dump gooseneck trailer. It's a tri axle so weight is not an issue. Just curious about length? Thanks.

Those boxwoods would sell for $200 or more at a nursery near me. There’s no way I could dig those up like you did, but I’ve got issues.
What size bucket is that 30" or 36"? How does it handle it?
It's a 36 and handles it just like a 24. I have a 48 tilt and it handles it well also.
