Why the fuck would I go through all this hassle to watch it in chronological order? The show really doesn’t have much of a long interconnected story cuz it’s a slice of life. You could probably take a bunch of different events and switch them around and you probably won’t even notice. Just watch the first show and then watch the missing pieces. It’s so much simpler. I also don’t title the video Horimiya. Is a total mess cause it’ll give people the wrong idea you need to say the Horimiya show timeline is a total mess.

The OP fits perfectly. It may be energetic, representing the epicness of the legend of Himmel the Hero, but the song always carries a note of melancholy. There's an "incompleteness" there. The story of Himmel is a proud and glorious one, but it's over, and no one can ever experienced it again, least of all Frieren. The visuals align with that. It showcases Frieren "observing" others from the outside, but never truly connecting. At one point she looks behind her shoulder as if noticing something, and begins to frantically run back, put the frame keeps shrinking and she only gets further and further away. She noticed what she wanted too late. The final shot showcases her literally split between the present and the past, looking into the past instead of the here and now. After all, the motivation for this entire journey is for her to reconnect with Himmel one last time. While she cares for Fern and Stark, she's undeniably not "all there" all the time. She remains aloof because she's focused on the past.

It has 26 chapters now with it being a bi-weekly release manga (I think) it’s really good but I suggest you guys let it marinate.

Finally I've been trying to find someone who gets it. I always hear people complaining and upset because he is a bad person but that was always the point. It was a movie about a bad person realizing he was a bad person and changing learning from all the bad things he did. Like Joy from Inside out, Woody, and more characters he is a bad and flawed character who hurted people because he didnt have enough love and self respect for himself. Which is why at the end of the movie and comic he learns about how he treated others and realized he had to change. If he is a good person at the beginning till the end and nothing happens, then he doesn't get any character growth nor learn his lesson.
