MAJOR PROBLEM with EVOTO AI EXPOSED: Full Tutorial
Просмотров 981Месяц назад
In this video I'll be covering some major issues I've noticed with EVOTO AI along with a few suggestions on ways they could fix this issue. I'll also give a short EVOTO AI Tutorial for those who may be watching this video before using EVOTO AI for the first time. To be clear even with these issues, I still think that EVOTO AI is an incredible software, the BEST of it's kind ever to hit the mark...

    Just did a few tests and wondered if you could try the following with the 2-colour image: Set the profile to B&W then do your edits. Finally set it back to Colour. Does that work? Also, did you check the mask that Evoke had used to see if it included the shadow areas? I guess you could manually add those areas if necessary?

    Yeah it is soooo long, had to adjust my bag and I think can now only fit my other body in there with the 14-35 f/4, my 28-70 and 85 1.2 are too large if I have the 24-105 f/2.8 mounted and in the bag. But...I guess as you said, only need one lens now. For most work the f/2.8 is great, when you need that something extra the 28-70 still rules.

      Most photographers are using evoto and other AI software which is leveling the playing field a bit. There are those people who will go to far with the editing and will just be “bad” no matter what but the people in the middle will become more of a level playing field IMO

      @@AndreBrownPhoto ai isn’t there yet. Masking seems to be the biggest problem. As long as the smoothing algorithm exists which it does in all ai real retouchers will still be needed for the highest end work. Evoto would truly eclipse everything if it removes skin smoothing and gets masking right. Oh and color.

  • @Dhemremrzhks

    I use evoto when I have huge workloads and narrow timeframe to deliver. For example I had four photoshoot in a week with all but one client demanding short turnaround time. Batch edits on similar light settings truly saved my reputation tbh. When I have loads of time with not much... clients, I just use lightroom. I wish evoto could be integrated into PS or LR.

    • @AndreBrownPhoto
      @AndreBrownPhoto 6 месяцев назад

      IMO Evoto is trying to position themselves to try and replace Lightroom. However, adobe can and should integrate a lot of the features of Evoto which would kill them. But until then…… Evoto for the win

  • @kalliemj
    @kalliemj 6 месяцев назад

    I wish Evoto just had a one time fee. I retouch hundreds of images a week and would love to add it to my workflow but if I had to pay per edit I would rack up a seriously high bill by the end of the year. Not worth it. Unforunitely I hate the heal tool with retouch4me. Often they just remove moles and I can see the brush mark from the retouch. They aren’t using a soft edge. The dodge and burn from retouch4me is worth purchasing though

    While this lens is totally incredible, and I can’t wait to get my hands on one, I would absolutely never recommend it to somebody who’s needing a first lens. 24 to 105. F4 is absolutely plenty of lens for a new person. I would highly recommend a brand new shooter to take the extra $2000 difference and invest in the second lens and the body itself.

    I just started now trying Evoto and have been using Retouch4me for over a year now. My first impression is that both of these tools serve different concepts. RETOUCH4ME was at first far more expensive to purchase. So the the barrier of entrance was higher. But what I like about it is that you own the software and it works offline. (I am not sure how much internet connection you need to keep Evoto running.) And - since I work in Photoshop regularly - I like the fact that I have all the layers in my PS doc ready for further manipulation and editing without having to rely on the plugins. BUT it is fair to say that if you install their latest Photoshop panel they have a credit based "cloud retouch" system implemented since a few weeks. They just have not advertised it properly because I think it is still in its testing stages. You can also buy credits monthly. And they are working on an "enclosed" system as well to my knowledge. It will be called "Adams". Pricewise I know it is expensive but in my opinion it is more flexible in the long run. Especially if either of those companies vanish - which is always possible - you still have all your edits as layers in your images. While in Evoto you just have the "end product" in one layer. This is something I think about. I bought plugins and software in the past and some of those companies are not existent anymore. And since I have my own discount code I can get new Retouch4me plugins for 20-40% less than advertised on their homepage. On the other hand EVOTO works as a "black box" or "enclosed" system. That is not better or worse it is just different. They can bring in new features faster and it works very quickly and seamlessly. I think for batch output it is much better suited. I guess Evoto takes the "Lightroom approach" while Retouch4me takes the "Photoshop approach". But as I said: Retouch4me will offer this workflow too in the future. While I find Evoto's prices fair - at the moment - the only thing that bugs me is that the credits vanish after 1 year if you did not use them. But it is what it is. I don't know about the credit system of Retouch4me. You can subscribe monthly but you can also buy fixed bundles to my knowledge. But I don't know if those credits expire per month or any period of time. These are my 2 cents.
