One of my neighbors had an EOS about fifteen years ago. It was a cute car, but nothing but trouble for them. I test drove one but I hated everything about it.....it was uncomfortable, hard to see out of with the top up, the top was a problem waiting to happen, and all the controls were cheap plastic.

We have the exact same model/features and almost the same price EXCEPT mine is a 2007. My navigation requires a cd, there are no USB ports, a six disk CD player under the center arm rest and aux plug in the glovebox are I believe the only differences between our eos’s. You seem to have the mentality that your 9 yr old car is brand new in today’s market. In 2012 your car was right on point with autos costing $10k more. My 2007 was high end and cutting edge at that time. Lets put that into perspective from the device that changed the technology in the automotive industry. The first iPhone featured a 3.5 inch screen with 4 - 12GB of storage and sold $500 - $900, was released 2007 the same year as my car. In 2012 the iPhone 5 had a 4 inch screen with 16 - 64GB and sold $650 - $850. In 2020 apples released 4 iPhones with so many variations I can’t keep track, but the cheapest one was 4.7 inch screen 64GB sells for $400 and most expensive 12 pro max 6.7 inch screen, 128 - 512GB sells $1100 - $1400. You can’t even try to compare a first gen iPhone with today’s iPhones.

Can't really comment on the EOS, but anyone who buys VW/Audi, etc is a total schmuck. overpriced, enormously complicated repairs, poor reliability, and cost that is almost the equivalent of audi makes buying a 40k VW a really stupid choice. Makes a nice lawn ornament! Endless money pit as these age. Amazing how many people keep making the same stupid mistake over and over.

My daily is a Tesla so that is a completely different conversation. Let’s just say the Tesla is the best vehicle I have ever owned. And I don’t mean for it’s gimmicks like video games and such. @@sniggitty With a poor reputation due to the 1st two model years having insufficient rubber seals, which was corrected in 2008, zero promotion due to an 8 motor hardtop convertible deemed "The best hardtop of all hardtop convertibles" by Car & Driver, which left an already arguably overpriced car even pricier & in a gap between $30,000-500,000 convertibles, to which most reviews compared it to the Audi, Volvo & BMW hardtop convertibles (And it came out very favorably against all 3), the EOS lasted 10 years. Not bad at all, everything considered. Before you reply you really should check out the reviews of the EOS as well as the comparisons. It basically ruined any chance this car had of succeeding due to the reputation it quickly developed of leaks all over. I'm talking gallons of water where the spare tire is! The problem was the rubber seals, which in 08 were completely redesigned & different types of rubber was used for the rest of the cars years. My 2011 can attest to my facts. Simply keep the seals unclogged & clean & you're good to go. 06,07-USE KRYTOX!!!! And if any year starts to seal-squeak, you can use it too every few years.

Never would replace the safety and great visibility, and various functions of my adaptive headlights in the bmw for the poor illumination and performance of halogen lights. No LEDs are yet to be better than BMWs adaptive xenons, but that is only due to cost cutting measures. You take your dangerous lights, might as well use candles I guess

I've got the 2012 diesel and it's excellent. The only time the roof leaks, and if then, slightly, is in the brushless car wash with high power water blasters. It handles really well and seems well put together with quality materials. Having owned a soft top (Honda S800 - brilliant, and a 206CC) this is the quietest, most comfortable one by far. Not that the others were bad (they were very good), it's just that the Eos is better in almost every way, and you can even have 4 adults and luggage. These hard top convertibles are amazing and solve pretty much every issue there is owning a convertible and even the bluetooth is pretty good. I really must get around to trying the roof lubricant pack I bought.
