What kind of recorder are you using?
VBOX
We are Driving in a PCA HPDE, running in Advanced 2. Me: The Driver in the 991.2 Carrera T. Stock 370hp, Nankang CRS. I saw Cameron Closing rapidly on the back straight in the 992 GT3. I was watching as he closed,, going into T13-T14. I moved a little wide for him approaching T15, but he did not actually get to me till T15 apex. To be predictable, I held the line on track out, moving left a little for him, ’Sending him by on the right turn-in-side approaching T16.
They need to have a track mode option that disables the wipers
Speechless….
😮 👏👏👏
Even the pro racing driver hits the wipers...lol. Still, pretty darned quick!
Really nice lap!
Thanks!! T1-T9 felt like riding a bull at the rodeo. Lol
At T9, I knew I had a 2:15 booked, so I was conservative on T11, T12, T19, T20 to make sure the lap was not DQ'd. From data, it looks like there was another 0.5+ seconds that I left on the lap.
(Front camera lost suction to the windshield...sorry)
You don’t have to lift on up shifts these days ?
Yeah, it takes some getting used to, but performance MT cars now have what they call “no lift shift.”
@@raymort3 that’s awesome. I am thinking of getting one later this year with a PDK, but this right here changes equation a little bit for me. Need to think some more. I’ve been focusing on motorcycles for so long that I am behind on some of the new tech in these cars. My PB in COTA aboard Panigale V4S is 2:24 flat. Seeing this fella going flat out through T2 and T10 is hard to comprehend. What a car !
@@TheSuperpod - I’ve been developing on this car for the past 15 months. I have the performance upgrades, alignment, and must do things figured out. Will share with anyone that wants to know how to really drive this car.
@@raymort3 I’ll keep that in mind. Thanks man! 👍
@@raymort3 BTW. You telemetry overlay is on point. Never seen one as good as this.
You would have been even faster if it wasn’t for that white 991 in the carrousel Congrats . Very nice set up Roy
That guy was complete off the racing line. He didn’t impede the pro
@@TheSuperpod yeah and his point-by was instant
Hit something but not sure what. You can see the bounce at about 11 seconds. I’m always ready for the rear to let loose, but this way pretty violent. The video looks tame to how much the car yawed.
Excellent save.
Ray I worked with your dad at Bell Helicopter for many years. Flew a number of times with him in the Swift out of Hicks Airfield before his passing. Great guy and a great plane.
Nice job on the crosswind takeoff. About the max I have seen in a Swift. Which does handle winds rather well.
Hi Ray, nice video. Do you still. Own the Swift? I own a C145 Swift as well.
ALL I CAN THINK WATCHING THIS CLIP , IS HOW PROUD UNCLE RAY MUST BE , REALIZING THAT HIS ICONIC PLANE, GLOBE SWIFT, IS (STILL) VERY MUCH AIR-BOUND & IN FLIGHT…AND THAT HIS SON RW MORT III HAS NOW TAKEN HIS PLACE UP THERE GUIDING IT ALL WITH PRIDE ! WOW…. NOW (THAT’S) A PRETTY DEEP THOUGHT TREY ! YOU’VE MADE US (ALL) VERY PROUD OF AN EXTRAORDINARILY INSPIRING KID , WHO THROUGH A SUPERFLUITY OF PERSONAL -COMPENSATIONS HAS INDEED OVERCOME THE COMMON MONOTONY OF THE PARADIGM, AND THROUGH IT HAS MOTIVATED US ALL TO SEE THE TRUE LIMITLESSNESS OF THE SPIRIT OF SELF DETERMINATION AT IT’S HUMAN BEST. GOD BLESS YOU TREY !
I'm envious... of the plane and the ride!
