On minute 6:21 when you click “computer chip” my TCM doesn’t show on the list I don’t know why
MY FRIEND I HAVE PROBLEM ...YOU WERE ABLE TO SOLVE IT
I dont have TCM Under configuration and programming
I’m having the same issue, anyone know why??
HI there, I saw your video on youtube about TCM programming . So i got a few ford fiesta tcm and mazda 3 tcm. How can I test if they are programmed properly and if they need any programming how can i do it. I can buy the hardware and softwares needed. My biggest concern is how do I diagnose/ program the tcm without fitting the tcm to the car. I saw a lot of videos on youtube where they plug the J-box to the car to diagnose/ program. I would be happy if you can help me out to .
Hi, I have not been able to find the Beta that gives access to the programming of the TCM. Do you know where I can find it? Any help would be really appreciated . Great video by the way, it's the only reason I decided to do this myself.
Could I use this to program a Ford fusion 2016?
When I was downloading the firmware there was error. How do I fix it?
Thank you ! I thought only IDS expansive deal was the only way to program a 2012 TCM module. This saves a lot of money and time. ids License too expansive.
Hello, How do you know what software version to choose when updating the TCM?
Do you have to use the beta software?
When I press download it says: Downloading AE8P-7244-AB: Not available under trial Extended License Downloading FV6P-73104-GE: Not available under trial Extended License
got to buy the licence - like 20 bucks australian
I have also vgate vlinker FS why there is no TCM programming in the programming tab? Can you help me with this??
Hi Drew, I have a right hand drive 2014 Mondeo powershift X Sport, would you know if the same process would apply. Many thanks
How can I get the reprogram my new tcm if I don’t have access to the old tcm anymore ? Any advices ? Thanks.
Did you find out? I have the same problem!
Got it done! Appreciate the video!
This is the best video. Thank you
Thank you very much for creating this video!!
Hi can I get the email of Forscan team? And hiw much will it cost to have a forscan license?
complete BS link is dead Forscan is BS proram wh sells copy a bad copy of ids and obdwiz with $10 simple reader that claim free software this sofwatware is FRAUD FORSCAN IS FAKE AND FRAUD MOVE ON TO ANOTHER OPTION SAVE YOUR TIME
Forscan doesnt have TCM access for this mdels , there is n separate module Forscan supprt claim it is added to 2.4 windows version but their support and forum membership is horrible invitation only etc. Basicly do not spent $200 on regualr obd reader mx+ or obdlnk etc plus forscan go ot local mechanic shop it is 20 minutes $100 Forscan sucks support is rude,
Any one knows if this is the same for a 2012 Ford Ecosport with the same automatic transmisión DPS6 power shift and the same TCM MODULE ?
@mgkl8465 1 second ago all others like settings dtc or vehicle menu TCM module is there but when click software chip icon no TCM ? Anyone know why?

Great vdo , I will try with the 2 messed up cars that I have ! Thanks

Hello. I have a program in version 2 3 55, but in programming I do not have the tcm option, do I need a newer version 2 4?
Ever got an answer? I'm having same issue.
@@darielmcgrue3118 version 2.4 beta with license discovers tcm. But the servers are down and tcm software cannot be downloaded
I can not download v.2.4
If I get a TCM from a salvage/junk yard do I have to do any type of flash/reset on the used TCM before/while replacing it, or could I just do all steps you do?
The steps listed will get you where you need to go. If it’s the same model (focus vs fiesta) and close in year you could possibly skip the programming and just do adaptive learn. But it won’t hurt to do the whole process. Just be careful with junkyard TCMs. Dying batteries kill TCMs frequently and most cars in junkyards have dead batteries from sitting. If you get the TCM to work at all, you’ll be lucky if it lasts you more than a few months. I’d advise you to just bite the bullet and get a rebuilt dorman unit with a lifetime warranty. After my junkyard TCM failed I went that route. The dorman one has had some iffy symptoms after about 8 months and it wasn’t too much of a hassle to get it replaced if they’re in stock.
Okay thank you, I just replaced the TCK this morning, and I got a code U0101 and said IPC no communication to TCM. Will the program fix this or could it be something else?
I have never had to do a reprogramming of a used TCM, I just had to do the adaptive relearn.
How can I find the hardware ID?
Update for anyone wondering the same. You get the Hardware ID from installing the software first. Homescreen will display the hardware ID, just copy paste it
Do you have the link for forescan 2.4.6
Hi Does this procedure can be used for mondeo mk5? Thanks
there's a way to use for scan with a vgate feps flash EEPROM and if it is how you do it
Hello dear, good morning, I am from Argentina, I bought a remanufactured and programmable TCM kit for a ford focus, my auto technician cannot program a new VIN in the TCM so that it works in the ford focus. What can be the solution? Thanks in advance for your time
Hi Drew. Can Forscan 2.4.6 be downloaded from any other source than Forscan?
It appears that, if you don't have the Forscan software installed, you cannot obtain the "hardware id" and are therefore "stuck". My question please....Can one download this Forscan 2.4.6 beta for free and then get the free extended license for it?
Good morning everything is fine? If the old TCM is without communication, would it be possible with Forscan to program a used TCM?
Bro, it worked beautifully, with the 2.4.7 version
Do you by chance still have the 2.4.7 installer? It looks like they killed all the links. The only place to get it apparently is the forscan forum but you need an invite code for that.
step 4 replace with another used one, it can be done, because when I download the old module it doesn't download the file and that's where your video ends saludos
Hello , Can you help share forscan v2.4.6 ? The links below is not dowloading
See the top pinned comment. You will now have to contact forscan directly to receive the download link.

When i do this with the version online the TCM dont show up to program. and i do the adaptive learning steps work untill the 4th one and gets stuck 50-100 then 50-100 then 50-100. is there any way to get the version 2.4.7 or x or so to reprogram it? or is there a way to reprogram the TCM even tho its not showing in the chip section? i see it in other sections but no program. any help be great
What is your reason for doing an adaptive learn? If you’re having shifting issues your most likely issue is that your tcm is bad and the learning process can’t get past the step due to the failing tcm.
@@drewlubka9689 car was perfect untill the battery died. changed battery now having the trans issue. i reset it by doing a put in N then wait 15 sec kinda thing it worked great! shifts perfect drove good. parked the car couple days later went to drive it it was back to the way it was when batt died. so tried the relearn and just gets stuck., wonder if it needs reprogramming?
Man you are my hero ordered the adapter and paid 12 for a year of software uploaded the firmware and followed the directions of the software and got it up running and saved a bunch of money in the process. Without this video I would of never thought to do it my self.
all others like settings dtc or vehicle menu TCM module is there but when click software chip icon no TCM ? Anyone know why?
@@mgkl8465 are you using the beta version? You have to use the beta version to do the programming.
@@mgkl8465did you find the issue?
Do you think I could program a used fiesta tcm into a focus?
Yes it can be done
hi i need to unlock new fiesta limiter, is it possible by forscan?
So you have to text Forscan for the beta software to program the TCM?
why you skip the driver installation
thanks for your great video. i know your busy but im hoping you can answer a couple questions for me. 1. when i click the computer chip the TCM is not on the list at all, so i cant update anything. 2. i was able to run the adaptive learn program just fine to a point. When i get to (shift drum adaptive learning) its says ok, but the very next one (select gears) the program hangs up, the percentage bar will go to 100% then back to 50% over and over. after about an hour of it doing this, i just shut it down. do you think this is a transmission problem or tcm problem? the tcm is still under warranty but if i bring it to the dealer and its the transmission they will charge me 300 just for the diagnostics. i can get a transmission for 150 at the salvage yard, so i really dont want to waste $300. i would love your opinion, thx
Make sure you’re using the 2.4.X (I think its 7 currently) beta version to be able to program the TCM. As far as the other issue goes, it could be an issue with your TCM but it’s hard to say. Did you replace the TCM and are trying to program it or is this the original TCM and you’re trying to correct an issue with it by programming it?
@@drewlubka9689 is there any way someone can share the 2.4.x? im having the same issue gets stuck at 50 - 100 then repeats im searching every where for the 2.4.x :(
I guess the better question is: Can I program the TCM doing all the learning steps for a 2012 Focus using FORscan 2.3.53 or does it have to be at least 2.4.X? Thanks for the help.
You may be able to do the adaptive learn with the standard 2.3.X version. I know for sure you can’t do the full programming unless you have the 2.4.X beta version.
Yep that what happened with me, I downloaded v2.3.56 that doesn't have TCM with programing ...so sad and now v2.4 is just for paying members only couldn't find one free
Hi. Can the programming of the TCM be done with FORscan version 2.3.53?
There’s a drive cycle also involved when performing the adaptive learning, it’s in the repair manual. NOTE: The following steps are for Drive cycle. NOTE: If a drive cycle is not completed, the customer may feel erratic shifts and driveability concerns. NOTE: To perform drive cycle, drive the vehicle on a level road surface. 1. Depress vehicle brake pedal (do not use parking brake). 2. Shift to Drive. 3. Wait 15 seconds. 4. Shift to Reverse. 5. Wait 2 seconds. 6. Repeat (1-5) ten (10) times. 7. Accelerate from a stop with light throttle to 15 mph (24 km/h). 8. Brake gently to a complete stop (allow at least 6 seconds). 9. Repeat steps (7-8) five (5) times in dealership parking lot or similar setting. 10. Accelerate from a stop with light throttle performing 1-2, 2-3, 3-4 shifts maintaining 1700-2000 rpm. 11. Accelerate to a speed between 50 mph (80 km/h) and 65 mph (104 km/h), achieve 6th gear, keep throttle steady with engine below 3000 rpm for a minimum of two (2) minutes. 12. Repeat step 11 two (2) times. 13. Test drive the vehicle.
There is no need unless the clutch touch point test fails
ATTENTION: You can only get the beta software now by emailing the forscan support team because too many people were having issues with programming and were bricking computers and modules.
