That's a beautiful facility, wow.
It sure is! Thanks for watching Stars and Stripes!
Love this one too. My son is hilarious. ❤️
Much obliged Maw!
A very funny video! I could watch Tincup for hours. Thank you for showing me! Greetings from Austria, Tom!
Frohes neues Jahr Tom! Happy to oblige and thanks for the positive comment!
Love your stories Tin Cup Kelly.
Much obliged! Sure do enjoy getting 'em done and posted for folks like yourself! Tin Cup
When my father passed away I cleaned up his things. I kept his Jack London book. I read most of the wonderful short stories in it and they comforted me. Amazingly, Jack London also traveled to Tahiti, French Polynesia in 1907. What an incredible adventurer he was. Thank you Tin Cup for remembering Jack London.
Hello there, What a great keepsake from your father! Thanks for sharing! So glad you enjoyed this here flicker about Jack's time in the Klondike. We did another one about his post-Klondike years in which we highlight his travels with Charmian on the Snark. He truly was an amazing fellow. So sad he exited this world early. We visit his grave and the ruins of his beloved Wolf House in this other Jack London video: ruclips.net/video/hTydC2u8WlI/видео.html Happy travels, Tin Cup
You made an old lady happy with your lovely response.@@klondikecorridor

Going to take a canoe trip this summer up yonder.
Awesome video.
Much appreciated. It's a fine museum with lots of history and stories. Hope you liked seeing the RCMP patrol car!
Thanks to Tin Cup and Simon for the tour of this transportation museum in the youkon ❤❤❤❤
Happy to show up one of the Yukon's finest museums! Get on in there when you can.
Happy to highlight this fine museum! Tin Cup
Enjoyed the video! Soapy Smith's grave was interesting, I recently discovered a photo of Soapy's grave taken by my grandfather Al Bock c.1945-50, the grave looks a lot different now and has a new headstone and fence around it, my photo shows it outside the graveyard and it has a metal mesh covering the headstone.
Howdy there Andrew! Glad you enjoyed the flicker and thanks for your note. Didn't know it had changed so much but many of the old gravesites of notable people do. If you can, please send that photo to scott@klondikecorridor.org. We'd love to see it. Happy travels, Tin Cup
I have an odd request. .... Can you look closely next to the signature of Jack London... Is there any other initials such as " JSN " or " Sam McGee " ? ... You see I was told the story of how a man with a guide went by dog Slead team into the Yukon set out to Find Jack Londs cabin along the river. . This of course was in the dead of winter with extreme cold. This was around. 1964 so I am told. .
there is much more to this story than what's been told in the past ....
Hello there, Apologies for the delay. There does not seem to be any other markings on the board but of course it was carved out of the original wall of the cabin so perhaps they left the boards with the other signatures there. I'm curious to know more about the story.
You see my father John S. Nielsen worked for Dick North at the Juneau Empire as a photographer. He was hired by Dick to document the trip by dog sled. I have my father's pictures, a piece of the wood cut out the corner wall and my father's Cariboo boots made for him by guides wife. @@klondikecorridor
I have these items and am possibly thinking of donating them to one of jack London's museums.
You can only ponder of what you would find if you were to block the canyon off and pump it out Old steam boats and lots of gold that was lost. If only
Ain't that the truth. Fun to imagine. Need one of those newfangled diving suits then we could go down and look around but oh that current. Tin Cup
Thanks for taking me on the hike. I've been to Miles Canyon twice and it's great there. Greetings Tom!

@@klondikecorridor Great I'm looking forward to it! Everyone stay healthy Greetings Tom!
Hopefully this video convinces you to visit Jack London State Historic Park. It is a wonderful and seemingly overlooked stop in northern Cali. Hiking and history- what a combo! I also hope it inspires you to read at least one of Jack London's many fine books. I'm partial to the ones inspired by his Klondike days- White Fang and The Call of the Wild and the short story, To Build a Fire.
Wow. I didn't know that he was buried in the Klondike area. I would love to go to the site
Hey there Colorado. Ol' Tin Cup was in Cali-forn-i-a for this one. Jack's grave is in Glen Ellen. His ashes lay there with his love Charmian's. Sure do appreciate you watching and I enjoy your flickers as well!
Thanks Tin Cup, another great story! I always enjoy watching your time travels. I look forward to the next one! Greetings from Austria, Tom!
Hey Tom. Appreciate you tagging along for the ride. Next time you head for the Yukon, you'll have to do a quick stopover in San Fran to see this park.

Howdy Austria/ Yukon Tom! Always good to hear from you. Are you one of the Europe folks who was inspired to visit the Yukon because of Jack's books? TC
@@klondikecorridor Yes jack london acted in me, i read his books as a kid and dreamed of adventures in the yukon! It took me a while to get to the Yukon for the first time, and now I can't get the Yukon out of my head.
Love Tin Cup and the Yukon! Snow sculpting and tossing chainsaws- crazy fun!
Mighty kind of ya to say! Plan on attending Rendezvous next year and you can kick up your heels with ol' Tin Cup.

Very interesting
The beer looks great! Would love to try some 🍻
It is awesome and so many varieties that ol' Tin Cup has only scratched the surface.
So educational. Good work my son.
Happy to oblige Ma.
So educational and entertaining.
Ms. Gaby knows her stuff!
Great video! So interesting! I remember seeing that saloon where the sour toe sits in a glass!! Yuck! Don't think I could drink out of that glass!! Love his poem about taking a drink with that toe sitting in it!! For some reason, I thought the toe would look fleshy and plump, not black and shrively! Yuck!!
Ha ha. Yes the appearance of the toe is unexpected to many. From my days, it looks like old jerky. It's always interesting to find out the origins of strange things. So glad you enjoyed it! Tin Cup
This brings back fond memories of my time in Dawson and the "Toe". Not for the faint of heart (or weak of stomach).
Indeed it is not! Glad this stirred up some fun memories!
