Nothing like it. The workflow is so different and very often results in such an emotional output. I think one of the reasons is that every note you put in is purely on your hearing and feeling and not based on music theory. Allowing you to enjoy full freedom when you create, resample and retune. You just make what sounds right, and not what looks right. Also no fancy plugins or pedals, but all offline editing that you then retune. And don't let me started about the wonders of low bit- and sample rates. So comforting. There is something about the sound that just is different. I was too late on it to ever experience the community in the 90s but I am sure that was magic times.

Thank you! The original program was called FastTracker2. It should be a freeware if it works on that hardware. To record this I use FT2-clone which is free to download and works on modern hardware. Hope it helps 😊
