Sir can i keep the car for 15 years...is engine reliable...? Kindly suggest
I have done about 30k km in the last 1.5yrs. Some of these trips were about 2k kms in 4-5 days of span. I have not faced any issues so far.
Your question made me check the manufacturer of the engine used in Astor(1.5L CVT). It's from General Motors and SAIC (parent company of MG) has refined it.

how is the sound insulation inside the cabin?
Sound insulation is good. I think it really depends on what kind of tyres you have in this segment. Mine came with Good Year Tripplemax 2.

It was from suspension. There was a stone stuck.
Did you consider upgrading your speakers? I feel my Astor's speakers are a bit "Elementary". What do you guys think?
I have observed the difference in audio quality when the music is playing on FM vs on native Jio Savan app vs on Spotify on Android auto. For me the stock speakers did the job. Never really thought about replacing them.

Not really.
I dont understand something. The Astor's Torque to Weight ratio is 172 Nm/Tonne. This is higher than Verna and City. That means Astor should have better hill climbing ability. But a lot of people say that Astor feels underpowered when climbing hills. How is that possible? And what is your experience?
If you have driven DCT or AT, you will see that CVT lags a bit when it comes to sudden acceleration. I think that's the reason.

What is that ratling noise? From sunroof?
Apparently a stone was stuck in suspension, that was causing that noise.
How about driving experience in rain and long journeys and what about pick up? Issues in up hill driving?
The car is made for the Highway drive. It glides through. The only thing that I am missing badly is ventilated seats that were introduced in the 2024 model. Haven't faced any issues in an uphill drive.. you might want to check out the Ooty video.

10-12kmpl in City. Service cost is about 5-7k if you don't have any major damages or part replacement for routine service of 10k kms.

The best interior that any other car offers in the 14 lakh budget.
My reason to choose the MG Astor is because of the power, and it is the most value-for-money car with the base variant.

It is a well package in comfort and space and the interior is pretty nice and also a feature rich car.
I recently tried this model and totally satisfied with its stylish design.
The seats are supportive and the cabin has a premium feel.

Do you recommend Astor MT 2nd base over Honda Elevate or creta EX?
I have not driven a Honda Elevate yet. But, it looks neat on the road. I would suggest you test drive all 3 of them on the same day. It would help you in comparing them. Again, it depends on each driver and their preferences at the end of the day.
Please perform highway mileage test with cruising at 90-100kmph
Please try to show the mileage you are getting on the MID at the end of every video.
Speed limit on mysore- Bangalore express highway is 100km per hour, most of the time you drove above the speed limit. Please drive safe, " Everyday cannot be Sunday"😢😇🤔
