@@Anonymous13440 lol a bit. The upgrades certainly are more for reliability and consistency rather then a massive performance boost. Shotgun hop ups and rubbers just leave a lot to be desired

@@batzarrosdefijourney6970 mines a 7 tooth dsg, the motor in this movie is the paragon brushless tuned lower than its max 30k rpm not the Solink v5, and I’m using a small buffer tube lipo. Idk what kind of 7.4 ur using to be hitting pme, if ur getting pme on a 7.4 using a 150 spring then sounds like something else is wrong like your piston, tappet, spring, or nozzle are binding

@jhqtech yeah I posted this on the wrong video, fixed my pme. Piston oring was to right in cylinder. How much fps do you tend to lose going down to a 7 tooth dsg?

@ generally 30ish fps but that varies. I build all my fast guns for 1 j so 7 tooth on a 150 works perfectly

@jhqtech so is that what I need for cqb to have consistent fps and accuracy?

@ that could be a lot of things like hop up, barrel, bucking, alignment. The gold poppet allows you to use higher psi and stay at lower fps so it could potentially play a role is consistency and feeding. It’s cheap so it’s worth trying

@jhqtech I just got my alignment straight and my bucking is wrapped in Teflon tape.

@@jhqtechheard planning a helical brushless tsg in my cyma blue mp5 What mosfets work with the tsg that you know of?

@ anything that reads sector cams should be fine. I’m swapping my perun for a scylla since it allows for more than three selector positions which allows you to do a burst position for mp5s

@@jhqtechactually he’s only got one setting that’s extra and it’s binary unfortunately maybe you can convince filip to add burst as well instead

Yes my first set of retro tsg gears completely shredded so I was unsure about them but it seems that set may have been a lemon

Yeah it was just his spur and bevel but the main gear it self was fine at that point I knew retro threw those in as a lemon I don’t use mine I sent him a whole SSG 20:1 set as a replacement I paired mine with a rocket spur and ZCI 9 and runs like a champ with the new so-link v5 motor

id say its less stressful overall as a tsg since its only like a 15% increase in spring strength but a 30% reduction in stress on the sector. however retro's tsg sector gear teeth are not as wide as traditional sector gear teeth where it picks up the piston so it could make for more stress on the sector then what should be expected. Either way, this build serves as a testing platform for retro's new tsg gearset and for finding the correct tappet+nozzle+tappet cam formula which i can now apply to other builds.

@@mkepm8070this motor was provided to me for free so I didn’t mind if it was damaged in testing. Plus it proved the new t238 motors can be used in any build

@@HikaruSwift17 I’ve never had to desolder a Solink motor to fit a Solink pinion, one of the reasons I like them. But all brushless motors have the end of the motor shaft just sitting in a bearing under the esc (only 2 companies produce brushless motors for airsoft so they’re all pretty much the same design)which is why many of them can be damaged when press fitting a pinion. So long as the motor shaft doesnt move up and contact the bottom of the esc when you’re press fitting a pinion it should be fine. The Lonex spiral pinions are usually very tight for many motor shafts which is why desoldering when fitting one was usually needed.

@@jhqtech Thanks, Yeah the lonex pinion is absurdly tight. I think that's how I broke my first T238 motor.

@@zeussalvaje7809 I’ve replaced it once since I had it. Although generally I run it short stroked on a hpa drum so I don’t really use the bolt lock feature
