Regeneration Sickness was the most unfair on Colin - not because of how he acted (though that didn't help with some people, apparently), but because it happened at the end of a season, so the audience only had the regeneration episode to go on at first, which meant they weren't seeing the "real" Sixth Doctor, and would have to wait until next season to do so. Regeneration episodes can be good, but they aren't necessarily good episodes to judge the new Doctor, but there's usually another episode sooner to set things straight.

5:33 I've actually seen the episode where Two says this. Power of The Daleks, I believe it's called. The footage for the original episode was lost and it was Patrick Troughten's first episode as the character, which is sad. So, how have I seen you must be asking? The audio, script and cast list still exist so, the BBC decided to animate the episode into a cartoon and release in both color and black and white. They've been doing that for a lot of missing footage episodes for William Hartnell, Troughten, John Pertwee and even Tom Baker. I've got about three of the animated episodes and if you are trying to get into classic Who, it's not complete without them.

Interesting that this became such a trademark event of the series. Even 2 was slightly more oddball than his usual self, albeit in a different way. These guys were all slightly drunk, 2 started off almost a little too sober for his own comfort.

Pertwee and Baker play it beautifully. They have the advantage of good scripts. You feel for Davison, Colin Baker and McCoy. No one could sell that cheesy garbage convincingly.

Usually, when the actor regenerates into The Doctor-- it's not their first story they film.❤❤
