Nice playthrough, but it seems everybody gets the yellow flag restart procedure wrong. You're supposed to line everyone up (rule 9.6.1) BEFORE deciding if each car is going to go to the pits (rule 9.6.4).
We love Thunder Alley and are glad to get feedback. I recently read the rules again when I taught my kids this last month. I reread this section because it stood out as different than how we’ve done it. But no yellows showed up for that game. 🏁
Best unboxing video I have ever watched! Great job guys. I will check out more of your videos. Love the 3D prints.
Missed the show last night but should have plenty of games the next couple weeks to call in! Played Arcs and Sky Team on Wednesday and have a Sunday game day scheduled for next weekend!
Sky Team is a hit here with us.
I love this game sooo much
It’s the best boardgame that feels like a miniatures war game.
Crazy good camera work - great setup - looking forward to more!
Thank you! I’m meeting up with William for more games in July. I’ll try and get him on camera again.
@@BeansAndDicePodcast I know it’s an older vid, but sent it to my good buddy Grant “Pushing Cardboard” as an example of some great “live editing” - very cool
@@williamscottbauer1826 Thank you!
Cthulhu wars is better with the expansion for me. It was too vanilla without them. I liked being able to build me army.
Great show tonight, B&D crew!! It's always fun hearing you discuss your top 20 games list
your channel subscriber and video views is low your channel not optimize
BLOOD BOWL!!!
ive been trying to reach carlos on fb but to no avail
Carlos left FB. Email me at beansanddice@gmail.com
@@BeansAndDicePodcast understood
such a great game!!
You should move the games that are always on top to a hall of fame
I can’t remember which game it was, but did you all think highly of Manhattan project energy Empire by I believe minion games?
Yes, we liked it a lot. Wayne, Carlos and I (Rob) played it together for our first play and we all gave it high reviews. Looking forward to my next play.
I loved my play. It made my 16th top play of 2023. -Carlos
@@BeansAndDicePodcast are you guys looking for another copy, I have a “spare”.
Between the three of us, I (Rob) and Wayne now own copies. Not sure if Carlos is looking to pick one up.
Are you aware that it is, in fact, 2024 gentlemen?
lol. Fixed
We've never been to TGG so this was awesome to watch. Thanks for sharing! Hope they are able to do the flea market quarterly so we can make it to some.
I hope so too!
Thanks for hanging out with us B&D! Next time interview me before the event so I'm not so worn out lol
Deal!
Good episode, gents! Mike let us know how your math trade works out.
Thank u for the video
My pleasure
Very nice video.
I have a spotify playlist for ponzi scheme. Mostly hip hop music about money, wolf of wall street soundtrack, and that one song from Scarface's money counting scene.
Ponzi Scheme is getting a reprint in 2024 with a new company (Bright Eye Games) and new art. We shall see if i sell my old edition and get the new one.
Thanks for checking out Apiary! It sounds like you might have gotten a rule wrong - when a worker gets bumped you do have the option to retrieve that worker and have it available for use immediately. The landing zone is only an option, to effectively decline the benefit of the bump, if you were planning to retrieve anyway, so that you aren't denied an income by someone bumping your worker back to your active area.
That's a huge difference. Thanks for the heads up
You made me laugh founders of .....
Nice to listen too you guys talk about apiary. I don't know why but I think this is a solo game to buy for me. I'm in hospital and sick but getting better.
Hope you get to feeling better real soon
@@BeansAndDicePodcast im feeling much better.
Thank you for the list. Good stuff. For me: Dogs of War Monumental ( please deliver the KS someday) El Grande Wallenstein Zapotec
El Grande and Wallenstein are both great games. I haven't tried Zapotec yet, but want to. -Rob
Wayne, the solo game thing is weird. I consider myself a solo gamer but also get games set up just to put them away. I think some games that aren’t designed solo feel weird to me once set up. I also don’t love operating AI opponents as it takes me out of the experience I want to have as the player. My go to solo games are Arkham LCG, Marvel LCG, Final Girl, Empires of the North.
I have Empires of the North. I’ll have to try that solo too. -Carlos
Arkham and Final Girl are both excellent games. Need to get more of each of them played soon. -Rob
Thanks for putting this together ahead of time! Much appreciated. Great list! I have the Unmatched Adventures: Tales to Amaze, World Wonders, Ancient Knowledge, Cascadia Expansion, Everdell: Farshore, and Lost Ruins of Arnak expansion on my Christmas list.
World Wonders is on my short list to buy. -Carlos
Very good video.
I don’t think Castles can be overrun. And I believe you must keep a unit in an event castle to score points from it. They aren’t retained like resource points.
Bows mostly would only wound. Guns would mostly only kill. They changed war forever, making range centric infantry a viable focus for army compositions. Also yes the reduced training time and cost were huge advantages.
Great
Have you heard of Tournament at Camelot? It’s a battle trick taker that’s pretty fun. I need to get it to the table again, it’s been a long time since I’ve played it.
Not heard of this one. Will have to look it up. Multiplayer?
Yup! Multiplayer and plays up to 6!

Great show! For hidden gems: The Great Split is 2664, Space Park 2493, Micropolis 2342, Pioneer Days 1447.
I havent played Space Park yet, but I agree that the other 3 are all hits!
Great video, very well edited, exactly what I was looking for to check out this game. It feels like it ended pretty quickly considering the units that were left but seemed a lot of fun regardless. Shame it's out of print!
Yes, so sad it is out of print. Thanks for watching.
Unless it's a 2-player game or a co-op, I prefer lower interaction games. I hate being unpleasantly surprised by someone messing with my stuff.
Great video for those who are interested in knowing how the game plays out in practic, the game looks like a lot of fun and it's so aesthetically pleasing with suprisingly many dimensions to the actual gameplay, so i've already ordered my own 'Planet' waiting for it to arrive! Just a note of correction: Carlos was the actual winner in the end, since the point-system works in a different way than this. :) The point-system in 'Planet', rewards a player [1 point] for every animal card that they have which matches the player's *objective*-card's specific habitat, and [2 points] for every card that *doesn't* match the player's *objective*-card's specific habitat. In the end, Michael finished with the total score of 15 points, and Carlos also finished with the total score of 15 points. However, in the case of a tie of the total score, the victory is awarded to the player with the most number of animal-cards in total, giving Carlos the edge in this game for the victory. :)
No sound till after 2:40. I thought my phone was having issues 😂 Great show! Rob sitting on the floor story is hilarious 😂
Great episode! FOMO is huge in this community. I’m lucky to have friends that get a lot of the new releases so I can try before I buy. I’m also lucky to have patience and wait for a stellar deal to come up for a game I want. I am all about used games and the majority of them have been played once, twice, or sometimes not at all!
I like both being taught and teaching games. It’s nice to have someone else teach, less work and pressure for me. I like teaching games I enjoy because I want others to experience the games I like. With so many different games out there it’s overwhelming to learn and teach all the games, so it’s great when each person can teach a game they really like.
Yay! 🎉Nick you liked Euphoria ❤
Magnificent is a great tacked on theme circus game. Has polyominos too!
Great show. Highlight was Robs walking or lack there of story. We can all relate.
