Homie dropped a nearly 12 hour video on an antagonist from a beautiful shallow game. I’m starting to dislike this game more after finishing it when I see absolute legends like this man putting so much love into the community. You deserved a better game, we all did.

I love how everyone that agrees that the keepers are the villans seem to forget that: 1 - They tried to destroy the ancient powers to not get to wrong hands and FAILED. The power is not destructable by them, so their only option is to keep away and guard it. 2 - Isadora and Ranrok are literal proof of people that will use this power if the secret is not well kept from people.

Professor Fitzgerald was the only Keeper I liked. She seemed more open minded than the others about Ancient Magic while remaining cautious

I saw the title and immediately thought to myself well duh of course he was, even if you take great pains to have as good a play through as is allowed the players body count is staggering they compete with the likes of Voldermort while frequently blaming the person they just killed for their own death. Player is mass murderer on a level normally reserved for nation states. I think Ominis and the player needed the option to really stop Sebastian taking the relic researching it could be argued is benign but it never should have left its tomb its implied it reacts to being taken out in the notes you find game pulled its punches on moral decision making to make solomons death happen either way.

Totally unrelated but at the beginning of the video was the sounds you often hear during the first two keepers trials, the sound of a woman almost inhaling and exhaling and even whispering, i honestly think that it’s Isidora that were hearing.

She had good intentions at the start but later she was doing it for power cuz she realized that by inhaling the Emotions she would increase her power

Love this video! I believe she started out with good intentions, but the keeper's should have told her 'With great power, comes great responsibility'. The problem I believe is that Isidora didn't understand that, emotional pain is different to a physical one, though both can intertwine with how it makes you 'feel' as a whole. Removing a pain or any negative emotion ; removes a part of what makes you human. Her father was in some sort of deep, grieving depression and maybe he felt as though he failed as a father. It has never been stated mind, when her brother passed away, or from what I have played multiple times. If we are assuming he passed not long after the events of the keepers, then how did Isidora survive, if her father had 'given up' ; so to speak? Or did his pass away not long after she started at Hogwarts? Was her brother the favourite out of the two? I few questions I still ask. Long and short; is she a villain? Jury has come back with a yes for me, good intentions or not. The magic was still unknown, but powerful.

Isadora was a villain who didn't know she was a villain. Pain is part of being human. If you can't feel pain, you are dead inside. She needed a session with a muggle therapist.

Isidora is muggleborn so her brother and father are muggles

Isidora was corrupted by the Ancient Magic. It is heavily implied that Ancient Magic, especially when combined with extracted emotion, is a corrupting influence. We do not see Rackham use raw Ancient Magic, and if the main character decides to absorb Ancient Magic at the end of the game, they are changed by it.

Isidora had good intentions but her desire to heal her father consumed her - no different than how Anakin’s fear of losing his wife led him to become Darth Vader. It’s natural to want to help someone who is suffering and the fact is her father was clearly consumed by his grief already at this point. It’s been how many years since her brother died and rather than trying to be a good father to his remaining child, he is wallowing in grief for the loss of another child. This could also be a bit of an insight as to why Isidora is obsessed with taking away her father’s pain, maybe she believes that the loss of the grief for her brother will make her father love her again, a love that she’s probably been without since her brother died. It is not the responsibility of the child to make the parent happy. The parent has a responsibility to the child, and while the loss of one child is understandable, it is no excuse to stop being a loving, caring parent to the other child who still lives.

I've played the game once all the way through, and a couple times part way. What Isadora did, I believe was at best unethical, at worst sinister.

Isadora and the Keepers both had points. It's really a missed opportunity thst you can't meet in the middle to try and find a balance between locking knowledge away and falling to it.

Hogwards Legacy is the Story of a bunch of incompetent adults failing to properly communicate with children, leaving said children todo dangerous and or highly immoral things.

Isidora was more of a well intentioned villain. She meant well, she wanted to help, but she went off the rails and lost herself in her grief.

There is a difrence between easing suffering in a physical way by providing relief services in the way of resources and medical care. To remove the emotional trauma or "negative emotions" is a far more delicate process and is a sign that she does not understand the value of pain. Pain helps us remember but also to learn and to grow. With good council, trauma can be eased, but the memory lingers. While I can understand the intent, the willful disregard of the outcome is the final nail in the coffin. She removed the ability to feel anything, and that is the problem.

Interesting story.

I believe that Slytherin's spellbook and relic affected Sebastian in a way similar to how Voldemort's locket, Horcrux, had affected the trio in The Deathly Hallows. A true Dark Wizard never shows remorse or regret for their actions; Sebastian does show remorse and guilt, which shows that he has a good heart. If Solomon hadn't blocked every reasonable attempt to cure and bring hope to Anne, for example, the Shrivelfig, he wouldn't have gone down that dark path. When we tell him that Victor Rookwood was the one who cursed Anne, he immediately realizes how wrong he was about Goblins, and he does apologize to us, even though if I had my way, I would have told him that I already forgave him. Solomon's treatment of Sebastian obviously showed nothing but emotional neglect and verbal abuse, and he did nothing but gaslight Anne into giving up hope. When it comes to Solomon Sallow, as both an aunt and a human being, he disgusts me, and I would have thrown him in Azkaban, not Sebastian. With God as my witness, when it comes to Sebastian's storyline, I will never send that poor baby away to become a meal for the Dementors.

Good theory! It's a shame that this game will get the noms and my beloved Black Myth: Wukong gets wrongfully snubbed.

That was a great video. I actually really liked Isadora. She had her bad points but then agains so did the keepers themselves. You are a great story teller. Please do more Hogwarts legacy lore videos.
