How much is he charging on avg to store a car there?
Maybe not a thing for desert states, but I noticed winter fuel economy is pretty bad after cold starts. Once the oil's gotten up to temperature though, it's like a +4 mpg improvement: 16'ish becomes 20'ish mpg. Multiple cold starts in a day (if you're doing random errands) will also nuke fuel economy readings especially since the engine'll be running rich high idle 'till it warms up.

I have the 2024 tacoma trail hunter in the underground color mine came with the roof rack from the factory i didn't want the roof rack but came with it it's a torque beast

Only thing I’d say is the lighting was pretty bad toward the back of the cathedral room. So much black with no light
I really respect Matt for using his resources in a way that combines his personal passion with building something for the car community, and pushing the envelope of what is possible. Anyone who thinks this is an easy way to spend a trust fund has never been involved in a design/build project of this magnitude. The scope is truly staggering, combining the most challenging engineering, in the most challenging jurisdiction, very unique use-case... This property sits at the center of the Venn diagram of "Expert Only" commercial real estate development. It's probably easier to build a high-rise in Seattle than to build a luxury car storage facility and club house in LA.
Having the ability to open and close the convertible top while moving is a nice option. You'll appreciate it when a sudden rain storm pops up and you don't have to come to a complete stop and then taking 15 seconds to close the top. Not to mention the time it takes to find a place to pull over.

Had my RR for a while now and honestly its the best for off road i take her out alot in so cal desserts and down to baja and its a beast while keeping the dust out with the windows and ac to keep me cool/warm cant beat it

Bought this same exact truck (less the bead lock capable wheels) in December. I went from the F150 Raptor to the RR and after about a week of adjusting i can say it was good decision for me personally. Yes there are times that i miss the size the F150 had to offer but really that is it. The RR does all the Raptor stuff just as good if not better in some cases. I drove it in the snow the other day and I felt a lot more comfortable in the RR than i did in the F150 version...likely because of the smaller footprint and better maneuverability. Overall very happy with my decision!
The watts rear suspension is superior on the RR vs F150, I agree the RR is a better all around truck. I took it to Big Bend and did the Jeep rated trail there no problems to the surprise of all the Jeep owners. And then it was so comfortable on long hwy drive home
can't speak to the f150 vs RR comparison but I did just have my first snow experience last week in the RR and it is just so so good.

@@Sloimerseriously lol I forget I even had them in my trucks. Literally one of the least used functions.
@@Sloimer I have them in my 13 year old F150. I think I've actually used them 10 times over those years. Couldn't care less. Same with a sunroof. My F150 has one...almost never use it.
@Sloimer No doubt, there is vents under the front seat and it doesn't take long to heat or cool the cab. And they liked to bitch about the older ones not having a damperd tailgate. Who cares!

I think his original plan was each “row” was to be the same owner/renter. So it’s moving your own car to get to your other 2 cars.

How is engine wear handled on the stackers? Just so I get it, if my car is on the bottom, does this mean that my engine needs to start anytime floors 2-4 is being moved?
Yes. The bottom car is moved first then lift lowered then next car is moved out and so on. They plan ahead as much as they can, I imagine and it has to just be expected that if you store your car there and use it with any regularity that it may have to be started from time to time to get other cars in/out.
@ thanks, wish there was a way to do this without starting. I guess the only move is the dedicated spots in the basement

No, it’s fine. Who better to look after your car then fellow car guys. If anyone is that radical about worrying how many times their car is started, then they should keep the car in their own private garage lol
@@mike112079 look I agree and in my case I keep mine in a private garage. I was just wondering how this is done, especially with such cars, personally would never have it this way. But I get that the real estate prices in California are high.
I like that they kept it industrial. Some of these new storage facilities look more like a night club than car storage.

Required by code. The building needs parking spots for employees if converted to offices. This is nothing new. Skyscrapers usually have multiple basements under them.
