any one else see the deer running away at 2 minutes 44 seconds
I resemble this title...
The dog is why I stayed in ND this year longer than I planned to. Memories. You just never know.
Exactly
Old fat Dutchman says good to see you back. Had good luck with pheasants south west Minnesota and South Dakota. Going back SD in couple weeks. Stay safe.😊 ❤
Happy to be back!
These hunters should have been hold the record in Olympic shooting games
Now I’m excited to try my new Weatherby SxS 28 game on roosters!!
Where can I find the RUclips on Huns you mentioned at the end of this video?
This is great stuff guys. Loved it. I am just north you in Saskatchewan. Can’t wait for our season to start.
Thank you very much!!!! Have a great season up north!
Awesome Tyler !
"Thank you for your service"
Just watched The Flush episode. Dogs looked as good as they performed. Well done.
Thank you very much:)
These videos are great man!
Thank you very much:)
Hearing a lot of quail whistling around the homestead here in southeast Kansas this summer.
That’s great to hear
What time of year was this hunt filmed and which guide service did you use? Looks like a fun adventure.
We didn’t use a guide service. Just went with some guys that we knew. This was filmed in mid August.
What chokes are you using in that shotgun
Depends on which gun and video. .410 is mod-full fixed chokes. The 28 I use IC/mod most of the time. Late season pheasants I’ll use Mod/IM
@@Thewesternwingshooterpodcast thank you very much
Great content!
What brand bird vest are you wearing?
That one was a Pyke gear…. Not ideal for hunting out west. I switched to a final rise.
Fricking awesome hunt!!! Gotta ask. Private or public?
This was a mix of both. First portion public, later portions private
@@Thewesternwingshooterpodcast totally amazing bird numbers. Great dog. Great shooting and great video
Beautiful habitat, incredible hun covey size, good dog work. What a memorable day!
Thanks for the video caught the gauge 28. What was the SxS you were using and what part of the country you Hunting.
It’s a CZ project upland bobwhite. They only made them for a year
And I’m on North Dakota
The dog is like “Why do you call me Rusty when you missed the first two shots?” 😅
Bhahahahaha!!! Fair enough!
Way to edit your "Fu.." I'm following
Can’t understand how the dog doesn’t get any cactus thorns in his paws.
No cactus in the mearns canyons :)
Give you credit for hunting there but probably the worst place in idaho to hunt chuckers in the state
We learned that but we were successful. But yeah next time different area for sure
Thanks for taking us along on your travels, Tyler. Some feedback...Drone footage is cool, but the walk behind footage is pretty shaky. I'm no expert, but wider angle lens or a stabilization mount perhaps? Definitely include more first-person goPro footage too!
Nice bunch of quail and roosters, good season, until next year. I watch the Flush too, Scott seems like a good guy to be around.
Scott’s the best! A ton of fun to hunt with
Are you hunting private land for which you have secured permission or land that is part of the Walk-In program?
We hunted both. And found birds on both
Keep it up buddy! Awesome video! We miss u guys
Thanks Buck!!! Miss you too
Cool to see Scott with you guys. We are always stoked when we see new episodes.
Thank you soooo much!!!! Yeah Scott is a stud!!!
I met you guys at the hotel in Beloit. Nice videos keep up the good work!
I remember!!!! Dang rain cut the trip short but it was fun!
Thanks for letting us come along for this wonderful journey. Can't wait for next year. Comment edited after the ask on the end screen for feedback for next year. I love the GoPro video from your head. I feel like it is more in the action than the camera man. Extra camera is nice, but seeing what you see is better to me.
I appreciate the feedback! We will probably try to do a mix of both next year. Maybe try to do a split screen or something
Split screen is not that hard. I have done it a little in my non hunting videos.@@Thewesternwingshooterpodcast
Looks like Scotland...
Rusty is such a great dog!!
He’s my best friend :)
Good to see you Gents getting West !! 🖖🦬🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Awesome vids! Makes me pumped for my new pup next month. English Setter. Jess is a beauty!
That was Frank Puccio you ran into with the Griffs. Great guy. I have 3 of his line of dogs. I know you don't like Griffs, but each to his own. Nice video and have fun.
He was a super nice guy! His griffs looked great!
He has some of the best line of Hunting Griffs around. He semi-retired a couple of years ago and moved to Patagonia or Sonoita from Wilder Idaho.I'm not sure which. I talk to him occasionally. I have been trying to make it out there to visit this year but haven't made it yet. I still have hopeful intentions. He would be a good guest on your podcast.@@Thewesternwingshooterpodcast
Nicely done. Long way to go, but it looks like fun. KS has been decent this year for quail, at least for me.
That’s the next the next video that will come out next week! It was a ton of fun
Great job Tyler! I have been away from YT over the holidays. I will go back through your videos. Keep them coming!
Thank you!!!!
💯💯💯👌
What breed is cj?
English setter
Thought so. I have 2 Llewellyns. She hunts just like my female.
Great as usual. You have us accustomed to great dog work. You can tell you guys actually enjoy the experience. Old fat Dutchman from Minnesota says be safe and have a great 2024.
Thank you very much!
That seems like pure heaven to this Texas boy!
It absolutely it:)
Hunting late season can be cold, windy, and miserable til you start bagging birds. Then you seem to forget it.
100% correct lol
Yeah not sure I understand the break action shotguns for chukar. I've killed 5 chukar in 5 shots under 20 seconds. Got my 6th five minutes later. Limited in a 30 minute hunt but that's how we do it in NV.
ruclips.net/user/shortsW3T1jTHwMzA?si=2LtxstVULE_IVhif
Awesome! You should have a field bred cocker heeling next to you. Dogs go on point and then release the cocker! It’s a fun, cool hunt!
I actually smoked a coyote this fall with my shotgun chukar hunting. As a rule I don’t hunt chukar with break action guns. Way too much work getting to them to only have two shots.
Nothing sexier than an English Setter on point.
Amen!
First time's for fun, then it's for revenge. They live in the best places and are addictive.
He said that will be his last time hunting chukar. He’s got to come back for revenge though… it’s the rule with chukar.
Oh…. I’ll be back lol
