Gunpla, affordable for the fans, wanna mix and match go for it, have fun Warhammer, not affordable for the fans, and fans are some the most sweaty toxic people ive met, worse than cod gamers, cant customise as not game legal etc, won't do anything that fans like (chaos sisters of battle to name one) may aswell have a sign on stores saying *RICH PEOPLE ONLY, POOR PEOPLE CANT AFFORD* Love warhammer lore, you'll never see me buying, painting or playing it tho, because the hobby itself isn't available for everyone, nor are the people nice to be around....and i swear games workshop go "oh but we wont make profit unless we over charge you".....you will, because way more people would get involved in it, its why so many people don't, price and the majority of fans..... gunpla make profits of 1 figure, using more plastic than you use for like 6 minis, and they charge 20 quid while you charge like what cheapest set i brought coste like 60 quid....... Something ive enjoyed, love the lore, but can't actually play etc......warhammer is the biggest joke ive come across.....gunpla, fun, de-stressing, main one tho, affordable for the fans....

Gunpla are much cheaper than Citadel miniatures, bigger, fun to build, less fragile, articulated - and they look great even if you don't paint them. In terms of lore, its obviously very different to 40K but it's also a more believable universe than the GW grimdark stuff - with characters you will actually care about and a depiction of a future you can really believe happening. And the Tau are sort of a ripoff of Gundam 😅

If you love them and are happy with them, then hypothetically you made a great purchase.........one that my awesome resin artist friend makes for her friends and D&D partners for free....even adding the logo and all the awesomness. She even made me a set....and I don't play (it's for an art roleplay game in which you role the dice and then create creatures based on what you rolled for each "feature"!!!! BEST B DAY GIFT EVER!!!!!!)

It's easy to add matte medium to change the finish, and opacifiers (chalk or barite) to alter the level of transparency. Added opacifiers are the difference between watercolors and gouache. Golden Fluid Acrylics are fabulous, IMO. As I run through my heavy body paints, those colors will be replaced with their fluid versions. They can always be beefed up using their gel mediums. You might really like using some of their texture mediums for areas on your pieces.

I'm an illustrator who got into model making recently and using artist-grade paints like this is a no-brainer to me. He's right about these paints being better than hobby paints like citadel because they are high quality paints that are made to last centuries for art collectors. HOWEVER, unless you're a serious artist who already knows how artist-grade paints work, you will need to spend *A LOT* of time learning how to mix colors. The learning curve for these paints is very steep compared to using hobby paints. Not all yellows mix with blue and make the perfect green and not all greens work the same way when painted onto a surface (as seen in this video). These are little nuances that take many months and even years for artists to learn until it becomes second nature to us. I don't say this to intimidate anyone. It's fun to paint once you get the flow of it, no pun intended. I already memorized dozens of mix formulas having many years of practice behind me. Just know what you're in for when you buy paints like this.

they also have wet palettes that help the paint last for a very long time. I haven't tried it yet but I got one.

jo sanjo matte flow acrylic heavy bodys are great when mixed with a bit of their magic mix and some water. also i am pretty sure that they dont have any toxic compounds so the brush lickers can enjoy!

huh? Isn't gamma wolves THE Gundam wargame? It's designed to use large mech models that are the size of gundam models. You literally use your gundam models to play gamma wolves.

If you already like the colors and want a "Clean" look, use Tamiya Panel liners and once those are dry use 600 or 800 grit sanding sponges on the panels to give them a uniform matte finish without having to bust out an air brush. If you want a grimy look, sand first then use what ever weathering powders and inks you like. Gunpla is so much more forgiving and inexpensive a hobby.

Use a dry pallet , or even a pop it as a pallete. You can also buy little bottles and shaker balls and pre mix a larger quantity. Also so flat is the matte line. But you can all your spray a matte varnish.

Tri-Art Manufacturing out of Canada makes a lot of Fluid acrylics. Great consistency, largest selection of transparent pigments. My paint shelf is now full of Tri-Art, Golden, Holbein, and DaVinci fluid acrylics. I'll never go back to Citadel or Vallejo. I will continue to use the Army Painter Speed Paint Metallics though <- only one out there like it.

I wish Bandai would make an official tabletop game. It would give more popularity to the army units and other less popular Gundam. We could assign a point value to each different kit based on their power. With Gundams being more expensive to use than regular army units. So you could either have a large army of Zakus, while your opponent has just a couple Gundams. If done right, it could potentially rival even WH40K
