Waddle: NOTHING to be excited about with the Chicago Bears
Rick Smith said that the NFL ownership is extremely isolated. He credited Kevin Warren for showing insider rest of league finances to the McCaskeys to open their eyes into not only what they should spend, but more importantly what they can make. Then credited their wide search for uncovering other vital info that will help. I always tell my staff, don't save me money....make me money. Same goes for cubs....you want Marquee to bring in cash......win 95 games. Win 100 games and win a round or 2 in playoffs. I guarantee your profits go up across the board. At the park, in surrounding area, merchandise, and Marquee.
He's adam gase 2.0. Bears are gonna be trash.
kap is such a optimistic bears fan he can’t help himself
Bears won the lottery after years of failing.
😂 I just came to see if George McCaskey Kevin Warren Ryan Poles gets an Apology For calling for their Jobs
You guys need a new graphics crew. That cutout picture of Courtney is horrible lol
Wow - oh, yeah! We need MORE splashy coaches! Who cares about the debilitating culture in the locker room, deflated energy of trying yet failing and defeated attitude of players longing for change (who are ONLY playing for each other NOT rotating coaches) OR gaping holes on 0 & D-lines that is now a year behind...again but how exciting it is after 13 years of this, uhm, crap, it just feels optimistically like a different excitement type of crap!?
...what...?
@InvalidUsername2113 Coaches won't change a darn thing;! Fixing numerous holes (and depth) on O and D line and dark clouds in the locker room from constant losing WILL! That's WHAT!!!
Randell El hire is MAJOR... No one loves the Bears more then the kids who loved growing up
If you want to break the curse, get the Honeybears back.
I’ve been saying this!
Olin Kurtz for OLine Coach
No, krutz suck
His teammates mostly hated him. The guy is an A hole.
Last time we had a big New Orleans influence with the new staff it worked out really well 😂👎🏻 I hope this works but after being burned by the Bears for more than 20 years I’m doubtful and reserving excitement for when we see results
Has anyone noticed nobody has hired Mike mccarthy? That's a red flag, Bears might have dodged a bullet there
The Dan Campbell tree starts in 2025. Good luck Boys!
I like Hoke and I like Washington (DL only, not DC). Losing Hoke would suck, but it is what it is. NEED Allen. Everyone else is bonus.
I agree with Kapp in regards to Hoke. His experience is needed when it comes to Chicago protocols in-house. Interview the guy first and then make a decision.
The in-house protocols need to be dispensed with.
Sign Dennis Allen
Chicago sports media always selfishly defend their friends. Nobody in the Bears organization should be retained. They are responsible for this train wreck of an organization. Warren and Poles not withstanding if they cannot put better numbers up next year. Enough is enough. Stop with the buddy system in Chicago. The sports media is just as responsible as anyone for this train wreck because they do not do their jobs. They back their buddies and scream about others they don’t like. Get some objectivity.
Courtney! ❤
No offense line coach from Detroit,
Is Allen the best they can do? He just got fired.
As a head coach... He's one of the best defensive playcallers in football. 3 top 10 defenses the last 4 years.
Ummm sir.. what available high level DC are you gonna get that hasn't been fired???? They are either fired as an HC or have been transitioned out from a fired Hired HC's staff... only people you can get that haven't t been fired are lower level coaches on other teams who would be promoted to take your DC job as a 1st tike DC... so what exactly are you expecting or looking for?
@@GatorGates23Give a robot a chance. The Madden-omatic 3000
Fired head coaches make great DCs. And if you look at his NO run, the D wasn't the problem
He's saying all the right things, I just hope he can deliver on the field. But you can tell he wisely addressed every concern, including tailoring the playbook to Caleb and the current roster. I'm leaning towards believing he will eventually make the Bears winners I just hope he doesn't end up being a guy who just talks a good talk. Still, his press conference was lightyears better than both Eberflus and Nagy. Eberflus just kind of rambled how they're going to play "fast" with "maximum effort."
Here we go back to the cycle of news where we overinflate unrealistic expectations the whole off- season, and when the team predictably can’t meet those expectations then you tear the whole thing to pieces and cry that everyone should be fired and the whole organization is crap. You guys are pathetic.
Thanks George for finally listening.... LETS GO... CHICAGO BEARS SHOULD BE AMERICA'S TEAM
With as much $$$ as ESPN makes you mean they can't afford heat for their studio?
I tried to deny it at first but I gradually realized that Eberflus was just WEIRD. Why can't he just be a normal guy? He was Mr. Coachy McCoachy with those stupid empty platitudes and his childish nicknames for players. The guy would twist himself into a pretzel just trying to talk about a simple leg injury or anything at all. He was SUCH a terrible liar. You could see the panic in his face whenever even just a basic question was asked. He was incapable of criticizing a player. DJ Moore FLEW in to Chicago to be here for the press conference, but Ben Johnson STILL publicly said that DJ walking off the field during a play and sitting down was "UNACCEPTABLE". BJ came right out and SAID IT ! DJ won't be upset about it either because that's just whaa COACH must do! Eberflus was INCAPABLE of that.
Ben seems to be genuine, as I was fired up in his introductory meeting. He handled that like a boss, and you sports people favorite word that all of you in Chicago keep saying. "He is a leader of men". I don't know what J. Hood is talking about because the losses that the Bears sustained were coaching. What DA-FUC is this 🍩 eating as dude talking about.
Chris Canty is Bears haters and a clown! Despite, all that the Bears organization has put him through this season, Caleb was still a good quarterback this season. BJ is here to give this team direction and help Caleb to further develop. Caleb is a franchise QB that doesn't need to be saved but rather he is our SAVIOR. BEARS FAN NEED TO EMBRACE THAT CONCEPT AND SPEAK WITH REAL CONFIDENCE. Anytime you agreeing with Canty about anything Bears related maybe you should join his weak show. IF YOU ARE A REAL BEAR THAN ,THEN LET ME HEAR YOU ROAR. The last several days we have seen drastic changes within this organization from management that have never been seen before in years. The organization is aligned now. Yes, we are one year behind schedule, but we are now on the right track. Let the haters hate! Only this show needs to be about positivity!
“Bring your track shoes.”- Flus “Get comfortable being uncomfortable.”- BJ Let’s not get caught up on the one liners again. We have to take this one day at a time.
Same guys probably said the Bears hit a home run with last years draft. 😂😂
We did hit a home run
Honestly out of everyone in that building trust Warren and now Johnson but Warren wasn’t here for the eberpuss hire have to see it to believe it but I do give them credit for getting Johnson now time for getting key pieces this offseason and then making run during the season but now I trust Warren and Johnson to get the right people in here which we’ll probably make poles look better
Obviously Kevin wasn't ready and doesn't want be "great" like he says... Because if he truly did want to be "great" and we know he doesn't want to be uncomfortable, he woulda hired Harbaugh last year.. Now I'm not saying I don't like the Ben Johnson's hiring because I do.. what I am saying is if Keven truly want to be great and wanted to know as the man who turned the Bears around, he woulda gone with the sure thing in Jim.. Going down the route of Ben is that we don't it know if he is going to he a good HC forget great!! because it's unknown at this point, but with Harbaugh the only question would have been is "how long he gets this turned around?" Not "I hope he becomes a good HC." That said Kevin really doesn't want to "great", he doesn't want to do what it takes to be great.. To be great sometimes you have to in a uncomfortable state, regardless of past issues .. Do I hope Ben Johnson becomes that great HC? Of course I do, it's just sad the way Kevin went about it..
George McCaskey needs no credit. All it takes is for Kevin Warren to give the him the business case on what he can sell the Bears for when his mom passes on. If the team and product are good, and a stadium build is underway then the family can cash out for $8 -10 B in a couple of years.
I’d like to congratulate the McCaskeys
The point about QB play being super-important is very simple. Goff can overcome 5 turnovers and Caleb can overcome 3 quarters of dull play and put their teams in a position to win at the end. This has been seen often enough this season.
Boycott Wrigley Fields now. Ifs he wanna b da coach for da long time den cut or trades Caleb now. Neva b da NFL qb. Saves u job. MAKE AMERICA TRUMPLESS AGAIN FRANKLIN. 🤘🃏🎸🥃🍺🤤🦨👹🇺🇲
As a fan, I’m very comfortable being uncomfortable watching this clownshow team.
Ben said QB play is a better predictor than turnover ratio. “Predictor”!!!! Part of QB play is the QB taking care of the ball, so there’s an aspect of turnovers in that… He didn’t say QB play is an absolute certainty … not that turnovers don’t play a role or aren’t important … a better predictor. Get with the program
lol 😂 push push push.
Ben can't run the ball, catch a pass or tackle. We shall see, but I am hopeful
This has a Theo Epstein coming to the Cubs type feel to it. Smart, prodigy types coming to save the franchises.
I said same thing. I haven’t felt this time of excitement and feeling that things gonna change since cubs got Epstein. I’m hyped but know not put super high expectations year 1 it takes time to build a culture
@ It’s not gonna happen over one season, but they have talent on both sides of the ball with draft picks and free agency to play with. Gotta give Poles credit for that part.
Hood Keeps It Real!!!! It’s Nothing Wrong with being excited but Let’s Wait till season begins and we Start getting The Results first reminds me of last year
Caleb sucks. Canty absolutely right
Y'all singing the same ole tune. Next year it will all be the same
Kap needs to get better sources. Todays was good but the sources since the beginning of the search have been awful
J Hood is so negative, I can’t even take it 🙄
Keeping it Real
I am waiting on who he will fill out his coaching staff with....gotta have a legitimate DC and OL coach.
The run defense was bad when Billings was playing. The run defense has been bad since game 1. No revisionist history will be allowed with this team. This team needs help in the trenches. Fix the trenches and you will fix this team!!!!
You’re the one with revisionist history. They need more d linemen but billings was a key part that was missing this year
@ they gave up 144 rushing yards to the titans, 150 yards to the colts and allowed a game sealing 12 yard gash up the middle on a important 3rd and 6 under 2 mins. 130 yard to the rams. 120 yards to the panthers and this was 3 out of the first 4 games of the season when everyone was healthy. Men lie, women lie but numbers don’t. Majority of those yards was ran directly towards billings the film will make cowards out of everyone. Stop making excuses the run defense was bad since game 1 a drastic difference from the previous season.
You lead this vid off with disbelief. STOP Already!
The challenge is less that they need to wholesale get rid of players who don’t fit this different system. Remember, this is a Ryan built this entire team. He completely disassembled the team when he got here and this team was built to be a pass first offense. So he doesn’t need to disassemble the team because players don’t fit. He needs to disassemble the team again because his talent evaluation has not been good enough. His evaluation of players has not been good enough. He needs to get rid of players who can’t produce and R or are going to become expensive or are taking up space where we need an upgrade. And at this point, any personnel moves he makes like this is further indictment of his talent evaluation ability. I think we’re going to discover that Caleb Williams is not the answer at quarterback and poles is not the answer at GM from a talent evaluation standpoint. That means that the new head coach is not likely to have success either. Of course, I could be wrong. But no coach can completely make up for bad personnel with brilliant coaching and scheming. You need the horses. The bears are deficient at a lot of positions and they have mediocre placeholders where they need play makers. Again, this is my impression, but it’s based on observing what the talent the bears currently have can do
I have never heard a head coach speak like Ben. You can tell he’s super intelligent and sounds very comfortable and confident as head coach. I think we finally got it right Chicago. And that’s not even considering being one of the best offensive minds in the league lol him and Caleb are gonna be amazing together
Let me correct myself. A head coach for the Chicago bears in my lifetime lol
He sounds just like Naggy did. Ftfoh
I liked Ben Johnson a lot last year when he turned down job offers. It showed his confidence in himself that he’d not only get more but get the one he wants.
@@leeoneill9573no Forreal. The way he commanded the press conference. The way he looked whoever he was talking to their faces and said what’s gonna happened and didn’t dance around and acted all nice. I never seen a bears coach ever do that. I can’t wait to see what he does with this team!
