i see, i was wondering since you seem to run it a lot better. im using an i7 3770 and rtx 2060 yet im getting severe stutters. gow 2018 ran fine for me though.

@@Yamoyashi Technically both cpu's are almost same just that fx supports more instruction sets in addition to AMV and FMA compare to i7 3770 which doesn't & God of war relies on both of these instruction sets. Otherwise overclocking could be an issue if you're using it. It should run similar to what your're seeing here

There are sound issues present like stuttery audio and crackling sound. There isn't anything you can do tbh. Its an emulation for avx2 so this is to be expected

The processor is too slow, so it creates heavy internal latency. Nothing you can do. B thankful ot even runs on the potato puter.

@@chopgr Here in this case it has nothing to do with CPU. The mod is making AVX2 code run on AVX cpu by spoofing it like an emulation on a low level. So its natural to experience stuttering gameplay & audio. Just wait until the devs release a patch & everything will work smoothly

@@solidfiregaming be as it may or for w/e other reason, the prime culprit is its advance age. It's a relic of the past that manages to run a last-gen game.

@@MrSnaztasticI know, It's natural to draw comparison with the Seamless HD project which imo is the best way to experience classic RE games. But Rex-HD project is not directly involved with the Seamless HD dev teams and I'm the only person working on it for the last two years. But I know the teams, we talk time to time and they're very supportive of it and I'm really honoured that this project is being compared with quality of the outstanding seamless hd packs. Still, the new textures relies on modloader by Team X similar to seamless hd mod, and Classic REbirth patch to load HD movies, so they're just as essential requirements. I'm mostly working on all the textures, fmvs, menus etc., so all in all you can say it's a collaborative effort together to bring Dino crisis 2 back to modern era.

@@MrSnaztastic Exactly. Two years ago when I started this project the results were not that I was expecting. After two years of constant testing and making the AI tools learn through models now it actually generates acceptable results but still I have to dedicate a considerable amount of time to make everything look right. I've posted recent revisions on X as well and I have tried my best to maintain the same aesthetic as originals with additional details keeping the illusion of the scene intact. With this method i think it will be the best version of DC2 everyone can enjoy. Thank you so much for the support and rest assured I'll do this game justice. 😊👍✨

As far as I know it isn't compatible yet, but if it does I'd like to know how as well. It'll be easier to work on the textures that way

@@DRAGONLORDS Hi, thanks for checking in. I'm still working on the project everyday and finishing revisions where necessary. Some textures do not upscale well so I have to made it from scratch to match the original artworks in high resolution like pipes, valves, doors, vegetation and other objects. Statuswise it's almost 50% done as there are still little nitpicks I'm ironing out. Once I get them right I will post an update on it soon on my socials. As always thanks for the support.

@@idum01 I'm adding a lot of details into each backgrounds which are in the original but diminished due to its quality. So reproducing it faithful to original takes time but it's worth it for immersion and experience. Please check my socials for progress on the project

I'm working primarily on textures but Gemini has already worked on something for subtitles in his fantastic Classic REbirth patch. So if anyone skilled in that field wants to translate proper subtitles, can easily do it and load up into the game.

I think I already answered in my previous comment but sure, currently classic rebirth patch is a way to go to best experience DC2. It will work on sourcenext version though not the USA release. You can easily find it online. And HD mod when ready, will be supported with it :)

So you're saying that I can download (sourcenext) and then mix it up with (rex-hd) and right then I can play it with the controller. ok, then can you send the (sourcenext)link cus I searched for I and couldn't find it.

I agree with you. The graphics look great but some areas could have been expanded. For example, the lab in which Sokolov is being held (Rassvet) looks like a run down shed. I think there is a lot of potential. The base at bolshaya could also need some love

Yeah, I'm aware of that bug. Currently the modloader is only compatible with the USA release. I've mentioned this with teamx (the creator of the modloader) as I'm working on textures and stuff. Rest assured it will be updated to work with the REbirth patch & the texture pack as well.

Backgrounds are around 50% fully finalized. Fmvs are 80% done and Character textures are 30% completed. I assume It will take sometime to get everything ready for release.

@@LayGoTL I assume you're referring to installing of the mod then yes you need to extract it in the game directory where dino2.exe is and it will work given you have the USA version.

Yeah refresh rate is prime factor here. For 60hz 30fps rtss limiter is pretty smooth. Also, sometimes turning on half refresh rate vsync and triple buffering at the same time will introduce noticeable high input latency. You can easily find it when playing with mouse n kb. It'll be better if let the vsync work normally and then enable triple buffer + rtss limiter for super smooth gameplay

well i play genshin impact on 36 fps at 70hz with triple buffering + 1/2 refresh rate and pre rendered frames set to 3 and yeah i know it will introduce input lag but in my case its like 0.5ms late also it is based on your mouse dpi and polling rate IMO, i set my dpi to 4000 and polling rate to 1000hz and the result is there is no any noticable input lag, i made too much experiment on my settings and i know how effective it is.

You need a powerful card to sync to that refresh rate ie, 144fps to look smooth. Also half refresh rate ie, 72fps is pretty demanding too. Best option is forcing vsync in nvidia inspector and change refresh rate and fps to a lower value that your monitor supports. Anything closer to 60hz~100hz will feel noticeably smoother

The animations and some of the character models definitely feels inferior to original. I really wish they would treat it like MGS delta but no. It's bloober team so unless they listen to fan feedback I don't think it's gonna go well
