Simply a compilation of motion-activated video clips from my suet-feeder placed along the tree line of my back yard. Many different woodpeckers (I suspect they’re feeding young) and lots of Blue Jays with Eastern Bluebirds, Baltimore Orioles, among others making an appearance.

Attempting Watercolors
Просмотров 2405 лет назад
Watch my first real attempt at a watercolor painting! I used Mijello Mission Gold watercolors in an attempt at a transparent application of paints. My inexperience and a whole lot of "happy accidents" resulted in this painting, a much more opaque version of what I originally had in mind. We all learn by mistakes, but the "art" in this is pushing through until a satisfactory result is achieved. ...

great result, love it
So excited to try this! Could I use this method over panpastel on pastelmat if I fix it well?🤗
A self portrait! Way to go! 😇💪
@Nick Edgar, what a beautiful piece! ty for sharing it out. be well & thrive, ©¿~salli
ps it almost looks like you put a 2 part epoxy as a final coat.
3rd times a charm, still can believe how insanely good this is. The likeness is spot on.
Thanks Joseph! I’ve done nothing but practicing drawing (graphite, charcoal and pastel pencils) for coming up on a year now. No color, just form and values.
Really really nice Nick!
Wow! This is awesome! That end 😂
Nick I love it! This was a fun one to watch.
Thanks! ...And it only took about 30-mins to edit!!!
You and Texas Beeworks are my favorites. So inspirational!
Oh wow! Thank you for this. Those colors popped even more
Thank-you for looking after these bees! It makes me so happy to see them repatriated 😌 They are such beautiful, FLUFFY creatures, and I just cannot imagine a world without them! Just think about how many different foods would no longer be available if we didn't have these gorgeous bees to pollinate our plants and crops 😱😱😱😱 Keep up the great work! 👏👏👏
Like I always said whatever you do it's always awesome. Thanks for showing me. Can't wait to see your next one.☺️
Nope. Just nope. I’m going to have nightmares now 🤣 you are a brave, brave man!
The Bee Wisperer... or beater.. 🤣That’s amazing! Thank You‼️
Still cry everytime I see this. So sweet
Brave man! You're my hero!! 😂😂
Oh, I see you use the good old whack it with a stick method... nope, not me... lol
There are very few things that can't be resolved one way or the other by beating it with a stick!
Nick your portraits are beautiful! Loved this one.
Thank you- learned a lot watching you create this portrait. Nice work.
Nice portrait Nick. Thanks for sharing.
Super awesome!! Subscribed 😸
Heartbreakingly beautiful 🥰
I've never heard of this app (will check it out) but wow is your bird beautiful! ❤️
This is so beautiful and full of love!
Awe! More than a year later, this pops up my homepage. It's the music for me that makes this piece so cute and jolly.
She is gorgeous!
Great work Nick! Love this piece.
It's is good to see how you do that... thanks for the demo. The high gloss sure has a different look but your work is super-real and gloss always looks good with photos for sure I think. I like a matte look for my art and I don't know why really. But I am flexible to try new things. (I bought tubes for mailing already, so I won't be attempting the texture fixative unless I switch to flat mailers.).
Your work is amazing!
I've been waiting for you to post this. Really good to see how you varnish your sanded paper work. Everything looks even better with a gloss finish :)
Ya, I sort of forgot it was set to ‘Private’. I agree, the varnish really restores the values and colors.
Awesome work!
Thank you, Chris!!
How did I never see this video.... stupid RUclips. Edit: Ah, didn't notice it was unlisted. That explains it.
I think I’ll make it public...I’ve shared the link so many time to those asking about varnishing.
This is truly stunning
That's was really relaxing to watch. And the end result is really sweet!
Great video!
Woah! That's fast (not meant to the timelapse ^^). Greetz :D
Thank you! I never would have thought to do this to a CP piece. Beautiful baby and terrific work, BTW, also love your little dog.
Thumbs up
Awesome Nick.
Enjoyed this very much. Beautifully done piece and the video was compiled well.
Beautiful. I love your portrait
Wow, that's really great. Interesting to see how it became super-realistic. I am currently drawing in realism with some symbolism (I currently am trying to stretch closer to a super-real look as a learning exercise but I don't think it will be my enjoyment to get my work as close to 3D/real as a photo). Lachri mentioned checking out your channel. :)
Amazing work. My prayers to the family of this lovely angel.
Omg! Absolutely gorgeous. I'm sure it wasn't easy doing a memorial like that. I'm crying just thinking of it. So hard to lose a child. You are an amazing artist
This looks amazing Nick, great job.
Ok, I'm crying now.
Beautiful, gentle, drawn with love.
Muito top mano parabéns
I'm here to see how you work with the Inktense colored pencils, & because LaChri recommended you. I'm loving your style of narration. I also follow Louise De Masi. her watercolor brushwork is awesome. She does start with darker colors, and glazes over them with regular watercolor without lifting. she also softens hard lines with a damp brush, but as far as I know, she does not use watercolor pencils or Inktense. I love your work, and I don't mind Leo's heavy breathing.
Please consider doing a voiceover as you did with the Inktense Monarch butterfly. It holds my attention better. I love your work and appreciate the videos.
