Having BCLK so low meant maxing out the RAM only gave some 3300Mhz. So I steadily raised BCLK while reducing core and uncore multipliers..... now the multiplier for core (but not uncore.) is broken. Its just stuck at 61x effective according to both the BIOS live feed and hwinfo. No matter what I set it to, only adjusting the BCLK impacts core clock speed. WHAT DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I found out that flashing the BIOS through the system is the most dangerous one. You can encounter any kernel panic and interrupt it. If you don't have an EEPROM programmer, you may have a hard time recovering it. Some boards may have more BIOS chips as a last resort, or the bootloader asking to insert a USB with a binary file to reflash itself.

Can I do this without processor or with an unsupported one? I've seen that some motherboards use an older processor in order to bootup into BIOS.

damn first bios i have ever updated and went perfect! hopefully this fixed the issue i was having when half my ram was unusable and the splash screen saying novatech instead of gigabyte

You bastards should have added q flash plus on the z170x gaming 7, there is no excuse a 220$+ motherboards shouldn't have had that feature.... I hope whoever was behind that decision to segment such important quality of life feature to 300$ motherboards get run over by a truck and die a slow death

Works great to bad it can't see any drive or thumb drive except the original install drive. All other drives say no drive present (UEFI or Legacy). :( Updated to F25 H110-D3A and I can get in the bios but that's about it. Can't flash-back, can't update, won't boot just loops the bios boot. :(
