I do not consider myself to have trauma but I have autism that borders on OCD and find myself struggling because of it, so I use vent art to express it. One day in class I drew vent art in my notebook, because I was feeling very pissed and frustrated at some of my classmates in the room. My teacher saw it a month later when he was checking a random homework assignment, sent a picture to the school councillor, and that's how I started getting regular appointments with her. It was very beneficial to me, and although I wouldn't call my vent art 'traumacore', I feel it does help. (I'm not exactly sure where I was going with this story- I guess the moral is school councillors really help???)

I’m christian. And every time I see someone (friends, strangers, family, etc.) wear a cross without believing in Jesus, I just can’t help but get annoyed. I try to tell myself it’s JUST A CROSS. Because it’s not that deep. But I don’t know, I can’t get over it… I don’t know if it’s just because I am a Christian myself or just because I easily get annoyed but I just don’t like it. But at the same time, I think it would be unfair of me to tell them they can’t wear a cross because they are not religious. I mean, it’s their life after all, I can’t go tell people what to wear and what not to wear but I don’t like when people wear crosses. Besides, wear whatever you want, I shouldn’t get annoyed at your crosses after all 🤷‍♀️

When i was 3 years old my mom me in a baldorf kindergarten, the teachers used to be mean with us and obligated us to sleep while nap time, i wasnt used to sleep at day but she obligated me to stay in bed and i couldnt get out of the nap room. After a week my mom noticed me that i didnt want to watch tv and when she tried to show me my favourite show i started crying and talking about how evil it was. One time i was in the kindergarten and i asked the teacher about where my mom was and she yelled at me furious "YOUR MOM IS NOT HERE!! SHE IS NOT HERE! SHE WILL NEVER COME BACK, SHE LEFT YOU HERE!" thing that ofc wasnt true, they used to be violent with the kids and tell us horror stories about electricity and stuff, one time all kids were out and i entered the house without no one noticing, i saw the bathroom door opened and i looked inside, what i saw was traumatizing but i cant remember what it was, all i can say is that i pissed my pants and when the teacher asked me if she could change my clothes i started crying and trying to escape. My mom got me out of the kindergarten and i never came back there, i did not smile until a week after. 12 years after i still trying to figure out what happened.

This is the first time I’ve ever heard of whisper girls. But when you talk about it I realized that I do see those types of posts on Tumblr and Pinterest.

Hey! Im goth, but not an expert as i am whats identified as a baby bat (someone whos barely getting into goth culture) To say, most goths are Christian! I know for a fact a member of "the cure" had grown from a Christian background. Many goths are Christian, and we don't support anti-christianity. The culture in goth is about political views (many being basic rights to be simplified) music, and the fashion! Fashion in goth is meant to seem dark because thats what goth is all about. It stems from the idea of life being meaningless if there wasn't death. This is why we in the goth community wear it as a symbol of death, and because some of us are Christian (or other religions that use the cross) I personally come from the stance that its a meaning to me about death. That living life each day is something to pursue, and the cross serves me as the reminder. Someone who says 'its because we're rebelling against Christians" isn't actually goth. They're just gothic! Which is all about the fashion aspects of Goth culture. This is where i must say that Gothic fashion is different from being goth! Gothic fashion is just pretty much for the aesthethics whilst being goth is understanding the culture which i explained. Why do i bring this up? Because in goth culture we do not stand for hatred for religions. We support people who are religious, and frankly we have so many iconic people who are goth and are also religious! So to say you're goth and wear the cross with the intention of making christians upset is just being a hypocrite or just not being goth at all. We understand religious trauma since some goths also come from such backgrounds. But it just goes against what we believe in. many of those affected by religion who are goth, they chose to speak and share Awerness about their expirence. Which is WAY more better than bashing a whole group of people that most of them are genuinely nice at times. I myself aren't religious, this is because i have my own experiences, and i just cant bring myself to believe in something that i know i truly dont believe in, but just because of my experiences i wont suddenly turn my back on the goth culture that i love just to scrutinize a group of people that believe in the same religion that had affected me growing up. Because not everyone in the religion is the same. Overall, i think what it means to someone whos wearing the cross is important. But just wearing it for aesthetics or to retaliate against a religion is just icky to me. Sorry for my yapping session, and tell me if i got anything wrong or if you wanna ask something! ^ ^

Trauma core has a kind of aesthetic becauss it has these innocent themes and its similiar to weirdcore or oddcore but it has this soft or childlike themes and then maybe texts or stuff that arent innocent or showcase some traumatic events or what not like sa, csa, ca, Suiçide or SH so it is like a cutesy and innocent compounded with these types of themes its hard to explain lol

I'm a girl suffering from severe mental health issues rooted from my childhood, and I've noticed that these "cool, chill" girls just cannot stand sad, quiet girls and try to project on them with unsolicited advice and their own delusional view. I remember I was in a gathering, and standing with a group of people I just opened up honestly about trying to overcome my issues. You could tell I was a little bit low on my self-esteem and confidence, I was just listening to everyone and looked uncomfortable. The clearly "cool, chill" girl in that group was lowkey glaring at me as if she hated me the whole time. I remember telling her privately that it's nice how social and outgoing she is, and she seems to get along with everyone and vice versa. I said nothing about me, and nothing negative or indicative at all. Now if she said "Oh that's so nice of you, don't worry about it, I've learned how to become like this after having my own share of struggles and that's it haha" that would have been great. But that's not what she did. She turned it on me and said "you clearly got some self-esteem issues and confidence issues you gotta work on, no one's gonna take responsibility for it but yourself, if you think you being all sad and depressed here is gonna make people think you're a victim, that's not gonna happen here lol you were doing that the whole time, and frankly it's weird. no one's responsible for your sadness but you, therapy will help, stop thinking you're the special girl out here or whatever and woman up" She completely basically slammed and twisted my words of admiration into something else because of her hatred towards.....idk, girls who are sad in public? Hi guys, boi here. I'm sorry for us boys acting like complete incels. In reality, they're def self-projecting just cuz they refuse to acknowledge that they're immature often ( *h e a v y e m p h a s i s b t w* ). But if I'll be the mediator here, part of the reason they're like that: go on discord, twitch, 4chan, fortnite or league all day, and post 9/11 memes and share it with their homies is cuz of male loneliness. While I'm not a complete or even expert on this, I think it might be one reason for them to behave toxicly to women,girls, and objectify them. But it does help to know we die fsster than girls. Our immaturity often kills us. Again, there are other ways of curing and we shouldn't act like this in the first place.
