Im a modern mpc user id love a vintage one they sound so good
i KNOW THIS A YEAR OLD BUT FOR THOSE WHO FELT HE DIDN'T GIVE UP NO GAME PEEP THIS: You saw the equipment, you heard the beats, he just told yall create your own vibe, learn the equipment stop trying to copy paste other peoples shit and find you. NOBODY in the industry gonna give you the game in your hand, read between the lines buy some shit that works for you read the damn manuals and then come up with your own sound period. There is no secret code to this. PUT IN WORK!!!
These youngins don’t know bout the 💾
3:12 no we don’t need to get more education about how YOU did it thirty years ago. Today, we do things generally the same across platforms but it’s in the box. We not standalone heavy. I started like fifteen years ago entirely in Maschine. Know what I use now? Maschine. I don’t need to get a vitrola and a reel to reel or whatever. We all start how we start HOW we start. We just need to understand THAT.
No, he’s right
@@ill2illest YOU think so, but the fact that it’s being done a different way doesn’t mean we need to learn his. Most people drive cares with 200+ horsepower without having ever ridden a horse.
Concepts are the same, granted the sound coming out the machine may sound different. Jermaine should be able to translate concepts easily being such an experienced producer. Almost blames the equipment like the kid with a “broken” video game controller 😂
RIP Andre Harrell!
RIP Andre Harrell!
The younger generation can't begin to understand.
They don’t need to! Music production has moved on
@@DW-py4up On to rinky dink redundant no substance sound alike bubble gum machine beats
Well this didn’t age well
Indeed 👍🏽🤦🏼😂
he JUST ADMITTED he didn't make THE CATCHY PART OF IT. He didn't create the "I'm lovin it" part nor the "Ba-da-ba-ba-ba" part or any part that ACTUALLY stuck around so WHAT WAS THE POINT in bringing ANY of it up?? it was a commercial ad that's been LONG forgotten 🤦♂️
He did McDonald’s and Arby’s jingle
Man that 3K sounds so so Def!
Rip off Dr Dre, there I saved you from having to watch this video
Waste of 7 min. Dude needs to just put a disk in and bang on the pads and play the track. Too much talking. This is click bait he did zero "secrets" to producing hit songs..
I remember seeing a video of him running the Roland mv8800 for confessions 2, damn I guess it’s Mandela effect 🤷🏻♂️
Love that he uses the MPC X now ! respect .
My advise is to stick with what make you comfortable, dont change nothing for nobody.Cus at the end of the day probably none of them critics don't even use mpc's or if so they beats is trash🗑or they probably use daws, all in the laptops where its easy to record vocals & make beats, they probably cant even make a hit record on a mpc period smh, when they make a hit then they can tell you to upgrade
Be a child of God and obey The Call to Repentance. Seek forgiveness for your sins, or perish in the eternal hell. Seek the ESV Bible, and live the scriptures.
Be patience, and calm before responding to stuff.
Thanks for sharing and caring JD awesome info
Every video I watch with a professional producer or mixing engineer, all you see is people asking questions looking for exact settings on exact plugins that work on every song. The preset generation, no interest in even understanding why you use things
only 60+ views on this video just crAzy
7 minutes to say that he started with older equipment and now uses newer equiment. Floppy disk and now flash drives. How is that a secret ?
Amazing stuff
Awesome Stuff
excuse my ignorance, but how did he fit a song on a 1.44mb floppy? i thought these things had those barely used 100mb ZIP drives in them?
The disc likely holds the sounds and sequencing information.
Jermaine Dupree switched to Mpc Live ..... Career Fell Off Ever Since !! (Stick to Your Favorite Equipment - 🎭) ~ 🔐
I understand very well I had a DMX floppy disk I understand very well
People don’t realize MPC stands for MUSIC PRODUCTION CENTER!!!! 🤣
Love the way he used those 808 drums. That's his sound
I love that jermaine dupri giving game folk listen he give gems
DIAMONDS 2 GOLD
I'm curious how people think early records were made back in the 30s40s50s 😂. Def didn't use a computer/daw. I'd imagine a 4 track cassette studio would blow their minds too. Dupri is a genius and offers a ton of insight and advice on how to succeed in music. People are caught up in the newest/shiniest equipment and think that's what they need to succeed. No. All you need is the desire and work ethic to make the best music you can make. You will find a way Personally I use the MPC One and when I work on a computer I use Acoustic Mixcraft. Most think Mixcraft is bad or have never heard of it. I use it because I've used it since 2006 and I'm comfortable with it and know how to maximize my music with it. Find what works for you and do that.
No back then they had huge machines of huge ribbons of tapes recording everything.
I remember mixcraft, I used it myself
He did not
My last name Burns too. Hi,from Chicago South Side! Just heard about u!
JD is untouchable as producer and songwriter 🎹 🎶… my all time favorite
"We have the meats is you?"🤣

MPC 3000: 1993
Yoooo! I didn't know JD produced Ari Lennox's Pressure song...
3000 came out 93
That collection of floppy disks is gonna be in a museum one right next to Dilla's mpc one day. Them fools who are sweating you ain't ever gonna have that. You a goat, JD.
Why everybody be coming at Jermiane like that, that dude kno what he tlkn bout he literally telling ya he done made hits from the machine(computer) instead a whole computer making beats off of FL studios.
Hold up how he get the vocals on the MPC 60 🤔?
I know right
I would love for those sounds to be released in a sample pack.
bryan michael cox mnice to see him on video ! classic duo b.cox and jd. my favorite 2 producers
You're a good music thief
