Halcyon is a string quartet that uses music and the arts to promote environmental stewardship and respond to the urgency of climate change. Through interdisciplinary public performances that combine music and other art forms, we draw attention to the daily challenges, rewards, and realities facing communities. We acknowledge the need for creative and diverse communication that harnesses the power of cultural traditions, storytelling, music, and visual art to translate numbers and facts into something tangible and human.

Merveilleux!!!
Ever since seeing ‘Arrival’ hearing this moved me. When I hear this, I think about my aunt and how she had to bury her daughter, my cousin. I listen to this all the time. Thank you
Musical elegance.
Não sei aonde ela está..foi 1 capitulo..1 pagina...nao foi nada foi vida como muitos cada um de nós...tds temos algo para recordar 😌
That viola man❤
j'ai pas vu le film !!! mais cette musique prend les tripes 😥. merci
The greatest mentor of my life once said this song does the same thing as Barber's Adagio for Strings, except it allows for hope.
I think Barber's adagio does allow for hope, though. Especially with the relative major ending
I love this ❤
Wherever you are, stay safe, stay hydrated, remember you’re loved. These are scary times. Do not fear!!!!!
very simple and beautiful
Angel: I love the simplicity of it, it's very clear and effective, I couldn't help but smile when the wire-guy sat down with his inner-wire-guy ^_^
Angel: Great video!
YO. WHY THIS IS SO UNDERRATED? this is really good! aand yeah, its really how it feels right now really good job
love it! thank you for inspiring young kids in Maine!
Mega 🎉🥳👌✨
Hi Sophie how are you? It is PJ. I love listening to this performance and a great arrangement.
Talofa PJ! Wonderful to hear from you! We are doing well, so glad you liked the arrangement. I hope all is well with you and the orchestra. Alofa atu!
A balm for a troubled soul. Thank you.
Looking forward to the final program! Keep up the good work...
This is a very effective and creative way to approach an important issue that I hope will lead to a more motivated response from viewers. I wish it could be played at all of our local Select Board meetings (certainly would shake a few people up). As a filmmaker, I really love the use the "drone" footage and the music vs pictures editing. (the music performance is pretty good too!)
11:43 am Loved it. Keep playing - and Speaking Truth to Power - About Power!

Hands down one the finest pieces of music ever created. And to boot, (sorry for being so crass, but...), it's an added bonus that the blondes are both quite fetching
INCREDIBLE! this made me stop in my tracks, took my breath away and enriched me❤
Nicely done 👏👏👏
about time i said hi again eh? the whole of the ELMS/ELHS orchestra community misses you dearly
What an incredible piece of music 😍
What a nice rendition! Perfect pace and the very delicate playing adds so much to this already sensitive piece.
Thomas and I just listened to this and we both love it. Thank you.
So inspirational hearing and watching you all Thank you so much💛👏👏👏👏
very nice
One of the most beautiful covers
❤
Wonderful! Thanks for playing ❤
Very beautifully played. I wept.
Ha, first version that made me cry. It surely is perfect at times! Nice to watch the bandleader's face constantly ;-)
Viola is the most beautiful instrument every made, definitely played in heaven for Jesus
My favorite song, beautifully done.
I used to think this was the beginning of your story...
bruhhhhh don’t make me cry again from that movie 😭
Sometimes in this ugly world beautiful things happen.
such passion. beautiful..
Beautiful..but,but,but, to play this you must be from El Río de la Plata. Good efort though.
My heart bleeds, and my eyes run like a river; my soul is free.👏🏿👏🏿🎵🎼🎶🕊🕊
I'm glad I got this in my recommended, though I wasn't sure if I should cry or smile, but this was beautiful, very much so. Bittersweet, life can be too, sometimes.
Suena increíble, gracias por su música. Disculpa ¿En donde podría conseguir las partituras ésta adaptación? Muchas gracias.
Beautiful....
Max Richter can be proud of that wonderful cover 🫶
juste magnifique, félicitation à vous ! <3
Mush.
"l have stage 4 cancer. I didnt want to tell you over the phone. But no matter what happens you will ALWAYS be my girl." "I don't love you anymore.I don't think i ever did." " Honey we kept Augie alive as long as we could. The vet said he was suffering." "The last thing uncle John said is that he could never thank you enough for taking care of him." " Mrs. T, I'm so sorry. D. had been dead in the Summer heat for nearly 2 weeks before we found him." All of these scenarios I have live. This would have been perfect background music for any of them. When sadness is so deep words cannot express it, this music speaks for us.
I got tears from reading this while listening to the music.
@@seaningorin2412 thank you. It matters that someone cares. Every grain, every molecule of empathy matters. Not just to me, somehow, some way, when we care it helps balance the scales between light and dark.
crazy resonances aside; this was beautiful.
