How to manage and detect even tiny seed ticks to help prevent Lyme.
Просмотров 682Год назад
Lyme disease is nothing to mess around with, but we live in a high Lyme and tick infested area (all of New England is!) Regardless of how else we prevent day to day, these are our evenings… tick tools and a lice comb. It’s a quick 5 minute check and comb & a higher peace of mind we didn’t miss those tiny seed ticks that look like freckles or dirt. growingaheritage.com/more-info #lymedisease #ti...

But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. 2 Peter 3:18 KJV For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 KJV Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6 KJV For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9 KJV

I have a super passive easter egger hen who I use as 'training hen' with the pullets. I put her and the babies in a small pen to live together. She's such a sweet hen she's accepted them all in without fuss and the babies learn how to socialize with larger hens without being terrified. When I remove the fence and let the smaller pen rejoin the main flock the pecking order display is fast and brief.

Great tips. I agree you shouldn't press really hard, (I used to do that when i was first starting out, & I cpuld barely get the seedling put when it came time 😂) but you should tamp down a little tiny bit, or pick the tray up a couple of inches & then drop on table to get it to settle a little, because once they get larger seedlings, & you spray with a watering can, instead of just a spray bottle, you'll see that the soil will drop about 1/2 an inch & your seedlings will not have any support when it settles & theyll be all falling over. Unless when you fill the tray you are being super careful to fill a little tiny bit at a time, then maybe its getting filled all they way... i giess it depends. But i know when i just grab handfulls & pour over, lots of small little sticks will usially orevent the entire cell from filling all the way up.
