All rights go to wicked I don’t any of this but just wanted to upload it 💜
Yall its not a hard song
It’s like watching Jesus himself rise from the ashes, there will never be a moment like this in musical theatre ever again
She is my fav Elephba. They should of kept her as the og. Menzel tone was too sharp for me.
I think this song could've worked in the same place as "She Used to Be Mine." But only if that song didn't become as big as it did.
She likes to get into play! And she is so nice & cute!
this is my favorite elphaba she is love she is everything i want to be
is nobody going to comment how in control she is right here? She literally takes a moment to react to the guards blasting the door open. She then disappears into thin air, and literally within 3-4 seconds she is ready to fly and begins her pre-flight lines, which she delivers with a menace and sarcasm in her voice... she sounds like the original Wicked Witch in the classic film. Most actresses are so desperate to get into the lift, they rush all these pre-flights details. Stephanie is beyond a pro, she's just unbelievable.
this is my comfort video stg
Not only was this not London, this is one of the earliest Broadway performances! And a full show is available from this (look for "The Wicked Witch of Broadway")
Alternative title: Stephanie J Block being f-cking overrated for 2 minutes straight
Nice!
Wtf was that "it's meeeeeeeee"? Sounded like a dying cat
she still gives me the tingles watching it over and over again.
Is there any other time where defying gravity has the drumroll at :48? It adds a new layer of suspense and build up that hits so hard with the "TELL THEM HOW I...." belt, and I've never heard it besides in this Donna clip. Also, yes, Donna is freaking amazing and the greatest elphaba I've ever heard.
It genuinely upsets me that I didn't see Donna live. Criminally underrated
The fact her voice is so powerful and resonant it clears the rest of the singing, is beyond amazing
(as a katherine in a newsies jr production) and during the pause between (watch what happens and who's there with hee camera) you have to breathe. And same for other parts.
The fact that she would've been on the OCR 🤡😭
Hearing her not hit every note perfectly makes me feel a bit better about my own performance- she's still better with acting and vibrato though!
Her vocal coach is my friends. + my sister went to her high school Greece Athena… I know her cousin😂
I love this song, I know it was a tough one for Jessie to sing and I understand why it was replaced with What Baking Can Do but such a good song and Jessie kills it.
Incredible, how she marries music and meaning.
Her acting is on point. I know her from The Little Mermaid, she was the understudy for Ariel. Her voice matured so much.
I think you have mistaken her with Betsy Morgan. Wolfe was in Mystery of Edwin Drood as Rosa Bud.
@@Locke350 Oh, God, I really did lol Thank you
That last note you really felt that. Elphaba had enough and was finally open to being wicked against all and that last note sounded like she was yelling all the pain out
Do you have the full show?? I’m DYING to see it!!
Nothing ever beats her going up a note on the second bring me down.
Her belt does something to my body. Effortless.
It's JoeTippet as Earl! Awesome!
when ur dream role is katherine but ur breath control is terrible
I’m gonna play Katherine at my school play
Musical* @@channelmanuel735
I love her renown riff!
Whoever reading this God loves u
It looks like shes doing it so effortlessly and *how*
Breath support: *Allow me to introduce myself*
It's the broadway set. The Gershwin is the biggest one that's not touring. You can tell cuz the guards came up from the orchestra pit.
I knowwwww herrrrrr
Do you have the full version?
There is the full show from this performance. Just search up "a waitress before she went to broadway"
@@chloeperdrix8867 I think it got deleted
she is incredible!!!!
2:19
She’s amazing!!
is there a version of the whole show with her??
Do you have the full show?
ive listened to this song a million times and not cried but for some reason its making me tear up rn like man i feel that hopelessness
There was a Wicked show in my area and one of my friends went, she gave me the playbill because my mom forgot to buy tickets for the family and I found out that Stephanie J Block was playing Elphaba.
Absolutely incredible
Why does it look like it was filmed on a potato-
You must be new
@@Kayla-zx8be nah fam I was just kidding around
@@Kayla-zx8be also lmao what does being new have to do with camera quality
@@strawberrymilk5955 This is kinda like good HD in theatre bootlegs rankings lol. We all expect Potato quality usually.
@@strawberrymilk5955 what i meant is that bootlegs arent usually the best quality, that is all
Wowwwww. Idina. 😭😭 I wish I was old enough to go see her live back in 2003. 😭😭
Same, I was like 8 months old in her last performance in London, so obviously I never saw her live. But if Broadway did a limited run of the original cast, now matter the price I WILL go and see it, no questions asked!
WHAT CAN SHE NOT DO?!?!?!!
So underrated. What a voice ♥️
Air: (exists) People who play Katherine: no
HAHAHAHA
RIGHT HAHGSA
bro tell me about ittt I'm struggling so much w this song!
honestly the breath control is hard but the E5 is harder
@@tinystarsandsunflowers tbh the high note is like the easiest part haha, opening night is Friday and I’m still out of breath sometimes!!
yeah this is DEFINITELY Kristin lol 💗
0:30 when she sings western sky it sounds so beautiful!!
