Eyes swells all year.
Amazing film, and wonderful title... A chef's kiss to the editor! So happy for you both.
Appreciate that JT
I love this car it's badass and this statement is coming from a a.m.c and lover I own a few jeeps and other AMC products and I love them.
these are my people and i loved that man
Don't touch it!
The first digit on the odometer looks like a 2 or a 6
So funny it never really had any emblem of its own. The AMX is from a 71 through 41 Javelin AMX and the three Roman numerals are from a Lincoln Continental or Mark IV.. lol
Any more recent videos on the progress of this restoration?
Very similar design to a De Tomaso Pantera/Mangusta
Very similar design to a De Tomaso Pantera at least in profile
My grandfather has one of those. In Kansas always wondered about it
Buddy of mine has a 74 Javlin with the 390 and Hurst 4 spped
THAT CAR IS GONNA MAKE HIM AN INSTANT MULTI MILLIONAIRE!!! NO QUESTIONS ASKED CASH UP FRONT SMH
My dad had an AMX when I was a kid. It caught fire in a barn fire where it was stored. I have the rear, trans and the 390 that was in it.
I see your ready to go out and ride your camel through the desert?
Far as i know 9 were made 7 survive mostly in italy swiss & France, coach work was done in italy.
Chassis was made and tested at BMW Munich, design plans are on the shelf - they need to step up buy the chassis design & have the car made, engine bay set up is universal itll take anything that fits Coyote LS BB SB etc
So why is the price top secret?
Man, this is so cool. I never knew there was a complete car, just a carshow mockup.
What kind of engine did it come with & did it come with the car?
Im sure Im not the only one who cant wait to see the car when its finished Cheers from ~NBS🦂 From🇨🇦Canada🇨🇦
Awesome car awesome find The body design strongly resembles the Pantera DeTamosa I look forward to seeing the car after the restoration Cheers from ~NBS🦂 🇨🇦Canada🇨🇦
Well shoot Andrew. Congratulations. Hope you're enjoying being a father.
I think this car is up there with the E-Type - very beautiful and in a class of its own
You know one thought that comes to mind is after it's built and done, that the highly prestigious people who wanted to pay $2,500 to be able to use the car for a day in that area of the state to go to whatever nice restaurants, a wharf or Beach area along with of course and escort guard, and allow the most excited people who would love to experience the amx3, the opportunity. Only a thought
what a stunning peice of design. now theres an arguement to be had to keep it as, preserve it. you could take measurements off of it and recreate it to modern standards, even make moulds off of it. or create a kit car package of it. but i respect your decision to restore it using period parts.
If I understand correctly this is the first one of these that were created I wonder if the rest of them have the same weird patch together frame issues or if they were much cleaner looking. And I can't remember where these fitted with a 70 390 eng?
There is a fiberglass concept car in Kenosha It’s an amc amx. With a rumble seat. 1of1. Car. Born and raised in Kenosha where all the good cars from amc came from back in the day. It’s amazing and valuable. According to the the caretakers it’s pretty much priceless. To a point. Now this is a rare car. The story goes 3 we’re made 2 we’re destroyed and this guy ending up with it last his job and other stufff cause of the deal afterwards. Amazing car tree though. I’ve seen it. Totally amazing.
Nice car. The the amc amx with a real rumble seat , concept car is even cooler and better. Just saying. Long live amc.
The rumble seat amx is still the rarest Just saying. And it’s in Kenosha. Have a nice day.
I didn't like that thing. You're talking about the Jeffords. Yeah it's cool as an amx3
It should have came back to Kenosha. That’s where amc was at. Most of the stuff came from here. Including the amc that is a rumble seat. It’s still here in the area. I’ve seen it. It’s a true 1 of 1 amc. Amx.
WHAT A PANTERA LOOK ALIKE.
Update thanks!
I have plans for this design. Im a mopar guy, i LOVE AMC javelins too because no on else has em. Everyone and their dogs brother has a cuda, a challenger, a charger, a roadrunner.. no one around here has a 71-74 javelin. If i can get things off the ground with my admittedly embryonic fledgling company, there will be a diesel powered mid engine supercar running around. Why? Because fuel efficiency coupled with increased reliability without lack of power and torque.
There's no copyright anymore on the AMX AMC, so anyone can make their own or a series, there's no point in waiting for the owners of the prototypes to ever do it.
Just google AMX AMC KIT CAR, there is a company trying to get these out to the public
Wow.
Far out!
No this belongs in a static collection. If some moron hits it that's it it's gone
Why would you sell your dad's beautiful car. And why would you let it get to this condition.
Iliked it original
Thanks for the update an keep up the good work!
Love the passion the team has for this amazing vehicle!
Whew. You guys are working on the holy grail. Dick Teague was brilliant and it shows in the design of this car. At the time, Ford and DeTomaso were introducing the Pantera in Lincoln Mercury stores and GM was showing off a mid-engined Corvette show car that was going to feature a 3 or 4 rotor Wankel engine. No-one expected this car from AMC and suddenly there it was. Thank you for treating it to the standard that it deserves.
I watched the first one and there is too much talk ! They could condense the fist two into one by showing the pick up of the car and the sand blasting or whatever they used we want to see the car not talk .
I would say that some people would like or enjoy the content and even to see the emotion and to be able to create their own picture of the story for entertainment as well as just information. You are talking about a world where people don't talk on the phone anymore people just text people don't want to communicate well I want the story and I want the emotion and I want the feeling and like he said when he talked too much this is a once-in-a-lifetime thing
Never been a fan of AMC design but that is one gorgeous car....
Luckily these guys talk with their commenters....i hit a jackpot...i want to ask...wasnt there a guy who made fibreglass replica bodies of this AMX III?? Saw the images on Pinterest and other places ...not one time or one place but more than one place and time... So those replicas were a go or they flopped?? Because i couldn't spot the progress of those replica AMX... What do you guys say??
the AMX III looked to be a cross between a DeTomaso Mangusta and Lamborghini Miura!!
Agreed 🎉
Almost looks like a de tomaso pantera
