2000 Toyota Celica Window Motor Replacement: My Process and How To.
Today I attempted to replace the Window Motor in my #celica
Did it go well? no.
Did I get it done? yes.
Like I say in the beginning of the video, if you want to get this done, buy the entire assembly. It saves a LOT of trouble.
I couldn't find ANY tutorials anywhere on the internet, but there may or may not be one out there. At the same time, I was replacing my Door Lock Actuator, but realized that it wasn't broken. There are a lot of tutorials of that, so I deleted the footage. My next video will either be rewiring my audio system, or replacing my coolant temperature sensor.

How to Replace the Blower Motor in your 00+ Toyota Celica.

My blower motor was clicking when spinning, so I replaced it with a 20 year old OEM one. I went through 2 different aftermarket ones before going to the OEM one. The 1st was w/out the fan cage. I couldn't remove the one from my old one. The 2nd had the assembly, but it made a very loud whirring noise when installed. I got this 3rd one, OEM DENSO from the 05 Celica GT at my local LKQ. It doens't...
How I change the oil in my Celica
Просмотров 142День назад
Tiny bit of a tutorial, but more of my process of an oil change. I also chose to switch to Restore & Protect 5W-30 instead of synthetic to see what it'll do to my 25 year old engine. The main Before & After will be within 4 oil changes minimum at 5000 mile change intervals. Will it run with less resistance? Will it have better fuel economy? Will it gain any lost horsepower? Find out in like 2 y...

Tsunami Rear Bumper + 05 Taillights INSTALL!!!!!
Просмотров 73Месяц назад
I got my hands on a Genuine Tsunami Rear Bumper for my 00 Toyota Celica and this was my process of installing it. I mainly went to my local LKQ for the 05 taillights. Doubling down on that, their website said the rocker panels and rear bumper were gone. When I got to the scene, EVERYTHING was intact. I couldn't miss on this opportunity. I'll invest in a Tsunami Front Bumper later in the future.
Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Replacement

I doubt this'll fix my evap leak, but it's at least worth a shot...... worth a shot in comparison to how the other one looked. Today I will be showing the internet how to replace a Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor on a 2000 Toyota Celica GT. This process will be the same for all 7th generation celica's. This tutorial also may or may not be similar to some models of the Corolla's with the 1zzfe and 2zz...

My shifter (being 24 y.o.) had a lot of play in it. I was able to shift into each gear correctly, but every now and then I'd have trouble getting into Reverse or 1st Gear. Celica Power Steering Pressure Switch - My Experience replacing it.
Просмотров 1744 месяца назад
The original Power Steering Pressure Switch on my 2000 Toyota Celica GT didn't have the electrical connector. Whenever I took any turns in neutral, my car would idle low, close to stalling out sometimes. Edit: I believe my Idle Air Control Valve isn't the issue. I'm glad I cleaned it out, because that eliminates a cause of my rough idle. I determined it is either the Thermostat or Coolant Temp Sensor, due to the idle dropping when my engine reaches operating temps, but at the same time, it takes a really long time to do so, and drops back down, so I think my thermostat is just stuck open. At the time of writing this, I have both parts on order, but I'm going to install the thermostat first (with a how-to video). I am 99% sure the temp sensor is fine, so I am going to probably return it unless mine is actually messed up. That video should be out sometime next week as the part is still en route for delivery. Thanks!

    does it matter in which direction the idle air valve piston is facing when you take it out and cleaned it ????

      Like, the motor part? Or the little sliding door part? The motor part, if you can take it off and clean it, lines up with a small lever to spin the sliding door. The sliding door part only sits in 1 way. This should help a little more. Timestamp 9:25. ruclips.net/video/u2ho7BlEtIY/видео.html It's not a celica, but it's the same throttle body, or at least the same design Idle Air Control Valve, and a way better tutorial than mine. It is actually the tutorial I watched before my attempt.

    What a legend I spent a week trying to find info on this!! Saw your post on it on the celica group page and was about to ask how you did it.🤣 might struggle since my motor stopped working one day but how did the spring wheel come undone?

    • @JacobGreenhutCelica
      @JacobGreenhutCelica 5 часов назад

      The spring wheel isn't something I can explain. I was playing around with how I thought it looked. I looped around in each direction a few times. The square hole faced toward the motor and it all goes in, in 1 direction. I'd still recommend replacing the motor with the regulator, so then it eliminates the factor of messing up the spring. There is a lot of grease in the spring wheel as well. Mine makes a slight noise because I didn't put any grease in it, but it isn't noticeable in most conditions. It's worth the $100 - $130, if you're able to make the investment. You may be able to get it cheaper from a junkyard or if there is a seller with a parts car in your area.

    Defiantly appreciate the JoJo reference. 👍👍How many quarts do you have to add in between oil changes??

    • @JacobGreenhutCelica
      @JacobGreenhutCelica 8 дней назад

      Not too sure. The oil levels fluctuate between summer/winter. Also, for some reason, once I got rid of my CEL (p0441/p0441)(it was literally just the gas cap not being tightened to exactly 2 clicks) the oil burning got insanely slower. I don't know the science behind that. For a 1zz with 200k miles on it, it burns less than the average amount of oil. 03+ corolla blue OEM Injectors NGK Ruthenium plugs OEM DENSO coil packs K&N OEM style air filter No leaks Rebuilt Evac system Could be any of those things.

    Glad I saw this video. I was planning to change the e-brake cable because the bolt that secures it to the dust shield broke. I guess I have to just drill and tap because it's more work :)

    • @JacobGreenhutCelica
      @JacobGreenhutCelica 3 месяца назад

      Drilling and tapping wouldn't hurt. Personally, if it was like, 1 bolt or something that broke on my end, I wouldn't have had the time to fix it. Thankfully none broke for me. Also, when replacing the cable(s), make sure to tighten them pretty good. I had to go back and tighten mine twice from the inside.
