Quattro is NOT a "system", as neither x-drive isn't. They are BOTH just COMMERCIAL names choosen by MARKETING DEPARTMENT (which are those which are unable even to change a wheel with a spare wheel- that much they know about technology). QUATTRO could be open front, open rear and torsen center OR open front, multiplate clutch rear, torsen center OR open front, open rear, haldex center (to rear) OR o.f., multiplate rear, haldex center (to rear) OR open front, open or mechanical lsd rear, haldex center TO front OR open front, multiplate center (not haldex), torsen rear (some older v8 automatic). SO.. drop that fcing bullshit "quattro" name and refer it as TORSEN or HALDEX ..which are the two main variants. X-DRIVE could be: open front, open rear, multiplate clutch center with STRONG REAR bias OR the same but mechanical lsd on rear OR the most shitty and new kind of it which you'll find on x1/x2 last variants which runs TRANSVERSALLY mounted engjne, FRONT bias (in fact it runs almost all the time as FWD, same as haldex to the rear variants of quattro)

I’m a huge Audi fan and drive a Quattro all wheeled Audi myself. Both systems are good but when it comes to snow it’s down to the tyres you have on the vehicle. When I first got my Audi it had Michelin summer tyres on it which were good until the winter weather arrived. In the snow they were no good at all, so I changed to all season tyres and they transformed my car. I live in the UK where we get all types of weather and I find that the all season tyres are great all year round. Obviously if you live in a country where snow is more of a problem then you should consider dedicated snow tyres.

Bmw AWD only from 2020+ have fix good system if we compare 340i 330i is very good no spin wheel I saw many test videos vs rain snow with right Tyre and x340i vs Audi or Mercedes bmw killed wild all them first is have best engine v6 compare economy or performance BMW top of all them for me quattro with haldex only worth and from Mercedes I like new system from c43e or c63e AWD system never spin vs old AMG alot spin wheel we all know no grip wheel system same I like Audi TT s system haldex is mother of antispin system trust haldex top. My point bmw only worth models from 2020 all bmw is very good and AWD best no spin they fix problems vs old models 2018 and Audi new RS 3 or big brothers rs4-6- spin wheel system alot they no fix and why cupra formentor VZ 4-5 never spin because use haldex and bravo cupra they know how done car racing cupra always top and always be better vs VW Audi seat Skoda ok cpura is racing company for track best stability best start vs VW Audi we saw race cupra formentor VZ beat Audi and VW SUV so no need fans or proof anything go watch your self see who is king first we saw crazy faster VZ 4 in snow hit 0-100 4.7 and road summer 4.5 that's numbers and better vs golf r plus all talk only positive good for cupra any cupra or cupra formentor VZ the best SUV ever see of category level style design stability flat is best of all them.

I've had both systems, and currently I own a A6 Quattro, for some reason/feeling, I have more confident in the Quattro...
