Replacing piston o-rings, outer flange o-rings, and brake disk. Tractor reassembly.

Pulling the axle carrier away from the rear housing on a 1977 IH 1586 tractor. A couple of notes; the ring gear, reaction ring, disk, and piston came out fairly easy. Seems like this was designed to be worked on by hand, the parts are heavy, but can be managed. A couple of things I neglected to mention in the video; -I used geroler motors. I had tried external-gear, gerolers have much better starting characteristics -The spool valve incorporates flow control and a relief valve -Starting torque is pretty good, no problem spinning the tires, even at low engine rpm. -I installed disk brakes in the rear, the lever on the left is a drift car brake control ...

I kept the engine revs up, since it was cold. See other video for idling after a little warm up. This tractor will go way faster than a sane person would drive it (especially while holding a camera!)
