@@kazami7915 Thank you 🙏
@@synzinthemixI do have a question tho… do you have a Facebook, instagram or something I can contact you directly on. Need more in depth tips
Bro how can I contact you

Thank you for sharing ❤
Greatness ❤❤
thank you man thank you so much
Hey man are you self taught or went to school?
Self taught.
Polishing a turd my brotha!
It took me too long to figure out where to use an exciter. It can be very useful.
Been following along the videos and wow, I'm very grateful you took the time to make this series. I love the format it feels like I'm in the studio with you learning! My mix already sounds so much better I can't wait to go to the next video. Please know there are people who are watching this and it's helping more then you even know. People that appreciate your time and effort very much. I am one of them and some of the comments left me very confused. Thank you for these videos and sharing your knowledge. I am an artist trying to do music independently and was wondering if you offer mixing and mastering? Thanks in advance.
Wow, what an amazing comment. Thank you for all the kind words. Makes me wish I was more active on this platform. Never really thought people were getting much value from these videos 🤔 Thank you again for the kind words. I truly appreciate it. In regards to mixing and mastering, I’ve always wanted to start offering that but have just had the toughest time getting it going.
@@synzinthemix Absolutely man! These videos deserve millions of views there’s literally zero doubt about that. I’ve watched so many videos and when I went through these I got far far more value in a fraction of the time. You deserve all the kind words and more my friend! Ahh I see. Well if you ever would be willing to I would love to work with you and no strings attached or hard feelings if it doesn’t end up being right. Also I plan on dropping a song a week here soon so I would be repeat quite often and also could have the vocals, instruments, and whatever else organized in a fashion that would make the process as fast and efficient as possible for you. No worries if not, keep up the great work!
@@Dane537 Love this 👆 Thank you again for all the kind words. Really appreciate it. Would totally be down to see if we can make something work for you. Feel free to email me at synssound@gmail.com. 🙏

This is such a cool tutorial! Very informative and precise!

Resumo el tutorial: Solo apreta R para randomizar el velocity.
I'm at the point where this helps tremendously. I understand exactly what you're putting across. I think if most would just dabble with the system after understanding basics. Mixing is gonna be after gain structure. I learned that recently. (live anyhow) My next step after really getting the club system tight with what I have, is to go through and record sessions. It would be great to make my own tracks for DJing.
Why not just record a vocal that's dull, then do your demonstration? So you thought it was fine to put brightness over top of brightness as your demonstration? Some genius you are. 🤨
Thanks for your feedback! I chose to demonstrate the exciter effect on an already bright vocal to showcase its impact even on such recordings. Sometimes in mixing, we encounter tracks where additional brightness is needed, even if they’re already quite clear. It’s always interesting to explore how different approaches can enhance various types of vocals, including those that might not seem like obvious candidates for certain effects. Your point about starting with a dull vocal is valid and could be a great idea for a future video. Stay tuned!
What are you doing? Your cursor is too small and you are too fast. Most won’t follow
Min 2:00 to skip the irrelevant stuff
you just wasted your time shwing nothin
it’s perplexing why some choose to belittle the efforts of creators. Understand this: creating free tutorials demands immense time, energy, and dedication. Instead of dismissing it thoughtlessly, perhaps consider the hard work behind every video. Your choice to spread negativity only reflects on you. Constructive feedback is appreciated, but it would be wise to remember the diligence required to sustain a channel.
Question - So let's say I have 5 harmonies singing the same lyrics, so the audio waves are practically the same with slight differences here & there with loudness. Would you recommend putting the Vocal Rider on each individual track, or can I group the harmonies together and put one Vocal Rider on the group buss of the harmonies? Thank you for this vid!
If your vocals are not too dynamic, meaning that one or a few of them are super loud while other ones are quiet, then it should be fine. When it comes to choirs and lots of vocals, it’s not always necessary to fully control each one individually, but just to make sure they’re not all too loud together. Having a vocal rider on the main group of vocals would probably be the only thing you need to do. Again, it depends on every individual song as each song has different challenges.
Don't you think phase cancellation will happen in your double vocal because of this haas effect
It’s definitely possible. Something to look out for that’s for sure. Phase cancellation and present itself in a lot of effects like this and it’s always a good thing to be looking out for.
Fire tutorial man thank you!
Thank you 🙏
Excellent tutorial from basic concepts and why to add these FX. Kudos. Learned a lot. Thanks.
Thank you 🙏 Really appreciate the kind and encouraging comment.
Is it possible to record with a preset limiter set to -18 db so as not to saturate the voice? I work alone so I can’t look at the same time if I’m in the red
Record with a limiter? I’m not sure you should record with a limiter, but maybe just use it in post. Why would you need to record with the limiter? Is it for live production?
does this work for ableton for some reason my vocal rider is not working on waves
What do you mean not working on waves?
It saying it's not compatible for some reason
Thanks for the video 🎉
No problem 👍
bro game changerrrrrr
It really is 🙏
boutta up da drums in here ya dig ty so greetz yo 🔥🔥🤑🤑
You went in on this mix bruh!!!!
Thank you 🙏
i know this is an old video so i hope my comment is seen. i just really need help. this is good for just one line of vocals. what if i need different eq for different parts of the same track? do i have to move the clips to another track and start over with eqing? that seems so complicated i feel like there must be an easier way
Great Question! So, what I do in this situation is EQ the lead vocal by itself and then group the background vocals together and EQ them as a whole.
Great video, really simplifies how EQ should be used! : ) Did you post the video of you doing the compressor part?
or I guess this video looks like it was cut from a live stream or something longer, is there a link to the entire walk through?

I believe that’s part of this playlist but I’m not 100% sure.
@@synzinthemix thanks sm!
Um. You didn't explain how to activate the takes?? My ableton just shows the track with no takes
Which version of Ableton are you using?
@@synzinthemix Ableton 10 is it not available in Ableton 10?
Good tip. But your ableton interface is way too zoomed out, really have to strain my eyes to see what you're doing. good tip tho.
Bro you not compression you just dumb the volume down
give me link download?
amazing
thanks for this. one of the few videos on velocity in mixing
I got you 🙏
Good video 👌🏿
Hey man nice tutorial ! I know you don't have to EQ every synth if you don't need to but how about surgical EQ ? I always found, in no matter what synth/synth bass that I used, that there were always some bad frequencies that could've been removed, so should you atleast always do surgical EQ or not even that at times ?
Definitely! I’m normally using surgical EQ on most sounds if not every group of sounds. Great question!
@@synzinthemix Good to hear, thanks for the answer !
Nice one
Should i add the limiter first plugin on insert or last or in middle
The limiter should be the last plug-in in most cases.
@@synzinthemix cool thanks
Thnx That was very helpful
Of course! Thank you for watching 👍
Do you apply Vocal Rider before or after gain staging ?
Gain-staging before the vocal rider plug-in would benefit the plug-in by it not having to compensate as hard - leading to a more even sounding vocal.👍
@@synzinthemix thanks for the fast response I appreciate it ! 🙌🏾
@@Ephraimite_88 Absolutely! I appreciate you asking questions because they give me a significant insight as to what our community would like to learn. Thank you for the especially relevant question!

How do I open vocal rider? I bought it idk how to get to it
My mixing got way better by doing your previous steps....you method help me understand way more that vids I been watching for years...much appreciated bro💯💯
-27 you started getting it good ears
Hello , I am a singer and new in recording technologies. Can you give a really quick edit for 2 channel mix (1 is backing track 1 is vocal) I just want to hear difference with my own recording.
Do it yourself haha
-24? i have the sub hit around -8. Is this wrong? I just feel like I cant hear it if its lower.
Yeah, that's very loud. The quieter you have your mix, the louder and more dynamic you can make your master.
@@synzinthemix if you are making bass heavy music it is a great technique to also already mix your track to the mastered level before mastering like skrillex does so there's actually nothing wrong having your sub hitting -8 if you know what to do, it's just a different way to mix
@@vlk9931 What ever gets the sound you desire 🙏
Yo thanks man this was really easy to follow along too keep it up
this plugin is great, i use it all the time on my mixes
Bruh, I mean bruh For the beginners: Thanks to ableton presets, use E Vintage bass eq eight preset with a bass - punch glue compressor preset, first the eq, then the glue comp. Instead of a sub bass, if your mix consist the important sound of a bass with mids and highs(Like psytrance bass or dubstep bass), use E modern bass eq preset instead, with parallel and punch glue comp. Don't forget the limiter, -9db, and yes half of this is experimented and the other searched from google! Works! This is how I make my music. Enjoy!!! You can experiment with this coz indeed, it's your music!!! Make it Lit🔥🔥🤘✌ Ex: Change the lookahead latency of the limiter you place according to loudness of bass, a bit changes in eq, etc. You seriously do not need the FabFilter (If you think you need it, its for them). I mean it's the best eq but ableton eq 8 is nice, for being included with your software, don't waste it!
