It's an informative guide for someone who may not know the differences between 6.5 and 6x9 speakers. Not everyone knows their differences. This is a question many people ask. This is why I made this video. Also, someone may not have enough budget to upgrade both speakers and may be wondering whether to upgrade 6.5 door door speakers or 6x9 rear speakers. This guide will help them choose which size to upgrade first depending on their needs.

For this specific video, I chose to embrace technology. Just as your smartphone lets you chat across a distance. Don't tell me you don't use a computer to simplify things. Or do you still write post office mails while you can chat with a smartphone? Technology opens doors when we approach it with an open mind....

While Sony ES are great, they are too expensive for many audiophiles. Other brands also excel and deserve praise for advancing the speaker art at an affordable price range. No single option can please all, so choice brings everyone closer to their ideal.

@@audiorevamp this is why you make a list from different price ranges. The Sony ES line is so far ahead of any of those. It's not even close. Yes they are like $400 a set but they are much better than every one of those.

@@BedjamRivera You are right. And I have indeed included speakers within different price ranges. Sony Es is out of budget for many people.

@@audiorevamp no, it's not. I know people who regularly buy single speakers that are over the price of a pair. Most people are okay with spending $350 to $400 on a pair of headphones. Speakers are the same thing except for your car.

Hello. Thanks for your question. 6x8 speakers can be a better fit than 6x9s for some car audio enthusiasts. Their slightly smaller size allows them to be installed in more vehicle doors, including tighter spaces, without modification. At the same time, some audiophiles feel they offer a better balance of depth and fullness versus 6x9s in smaller door cavities. I'll post a review of 6x9 speakers soon so you can compare the options.

Most car doors will either fit a 6 and 1/2 in a x a 5x7 or a 6x8. 6x9s tend to be the rear speakers.

For those prioritizing top-tier bass performance from their systems, these subs have always delivered. You're right that they may not be the most budget-friendly picks. But in my view, the sound quality and longevity gains justify the cost for people really focused on maximum SQ. I'm certainly not trying to suggest they are the only good choices or that other worthy options don't exist at lower price points. As with any hobby, value is subjective. That said, based on having installed dozens of different subwoofers over the years, I stand by my assessment that these provide an unmatched experience for those looking for the absolute best that car audio has to offer. But I respect different perspectives, and appreciate you raising an alternative viewpoint in the discussion.

⁠@@audiorevampso you use an AI instead of your own voice I mean come on it’s saying bass as in the fish not bass as in subwoofers also more power ≠ better you can design a nice system with less than 1000w or even less than 700wrms for the subwoofer and you do not need to spend a lot of money for a decent system thinking you do is what’s wrong with car audio also installing in your garage doesn’t mean you’re a professional as a professional wouldn’t say half the things you say as there’s a lot of guys who literally do this for a living as an actual job who would literally disagree with everything you’ve said in this video or shall I be real what the AI said, you’re probably some teenager who’s never actually installed an audio system in any car as saying JL is the best of the best is crazy when everyone thinks they’re over priced and overrated for what they are especially when budget titans in the SQ playing fields exist for more than nearly half the actual cost of a JL Subwoofer so spare us the tall tales bud!

Hey there, thanks for the additional context on your bike setup. 1986 Harley Davidson, that's a sweet ride! I can see why finding good 4" speakers specifically for that would be a challenge. The Rockford Fosgate ones will be a good option given their reputation. Even in smaller sizes, RF usually delivers that nice balance of loudness and clarity without breaking up. And they'll certainly hold up better than those Hogetunes over time. Definitely give the RFs a try. I'm betting they'll handle the vibrations of that bike much better too. All the best!
