@ 16:00 I live in the USA. Some lobster eaters do this when trying to get the meat out of the legs. Take the leg. Put it on a table top or cutting board. Then use a rolling pin on the leg and "roll/push" the meat out of the leg. It really works

Hey buddy are you allowed to use the square crab trap in this Lake I know Lake Macquarie has a ban on square crab traps to protect the turtles

Hey All. Tips. I grew up in Cairns, am 50yrs old now been crabbing all my life. There's only one thing worse than my traps being burgled and thats me not knowing they have been. So I cable tie both the Pot Bait Opening at the Top center of pot ( Classic round 4 entrance pot ) and the draw string once hooked over Pot Frame Ring. THAT WAY I know for sure if they have been opened. ALSO it will keep a few thieves away, as it may take say a minute to find a Knife etc and cut them off/open. Many thieves are nervous anyway and wont go to the trouble so maybe 50% will just go "To Hard", and drop em back. BUT I like to know for sure, that I was either Robbed or NOT. FYI - CRABS CAN GET OUT OF YA POT. I know this for a fact threw experience and I've run actual test by leaving crabs in there. Unless you modify the Classic Round Pot ( BCF etc ) be aware they can get out back the way they came. As some mentioned you can just drop in some place, of course Fisheries will keep em if found or your spotted threw there Binos 400 meters away ?? :):) Hope this helps. I do it with every single pot and I rarely ever have issues. ALSO, Drop em on Dusk and Pick up just on Sunrise, less people out at night and hard to see floats. LASTLY, I use 1.25lt Softdrink Bottles as floats, remove the brand stickers, so its Purely a Clear plastic Bottle, Half fill with water so they sink half way and sit lower in the water, I tie around the bottle top PLUS use a cable tie for extra secure. I'm in NSW these days so mark the float as per Regs, Extremely difficult to see even during the day, if ya don't believe me try it, i Regularly have a little trouble even finding my pots and I know where they are. Being Clear Plastic they blend in with the Glittering ripples of sunlight reflecting on the water. ANYWAY, you'll see what I mean. Just watched the Video, As Mentioned Dusk to dawn and you can really cut down on Thieves, it looks like the middle of the day and ya checking pot ??... ALSO, ( depending on your river system ) I go way up the reaches on a big tide at say 8am..... now I know by 10am NO ONE can get up there as it get to shallow.... the next high is not till after dark and I go Back the next day at the 9am ( 24 hour soak ) high tide but I get there say at 7 just as I can sneak up there and I use a light 11 foot tinnie with 5hp. Hope this helps.

Oh, you do wrong way . Not to long , just 20 minutes to 40 minutes . One net can get 3-5 blue crabs !

My mate caught one yesterday and as my other mate was taking the hook out it bit him, unfortunately it swallowed the hook and we couldn’t get it out. So we quickly put it out of its misery.
