Sorry you didn't have a great reading month, but there were a few gems in there so that's good :D The secret society of irregular witches was truly like being hugged, it was the sweetest thing ever! Also, I did exactly what you did! I read An ember in the ashes waaaaaay back then (exactly when it came out) and absolutely *loved* and then never continued, which makes no sense whatsoever. I'll keep in mind what you said about the second book but I'd still love to resume the series and complete it this year!

I completely agree with you about 'Out There Screaming'...I was so disappointed! (Also totally agree about 'All These Sunken Souls' and how good it was, by contrast.)

OK you ripped Dead Mountain apaaaaaart (well, the author really and he deserved it) and it was so entertaining lol

Your 6-month realization that you should just read things when you want to made me cackle. I hoard all these books like they're not going to be available later, then never read them and end up DNF-ing because I'm not in the same mindset or 'place' I was before.

Looking back on my Goodreads, I've only read It Ends with Us in 2019 and gave it 5-stars 💀my privated review in a wrap-up said it was very deep and multi-layered rofl yeah right..

I genuinely think you're onto something when you talked about quick read = 'good book'. I think that is sometimes how my brain calculates a 5-star read. If I read it super quick, felt totally absorbed, etc. But really trashy, smutty, etc. books also do that, and sometimes those are TERRIBLY written but my brain gets confused... lol

Oh I loved this video concept!!! I think I won't be able to get to Iris Kelly this year still, so that will be my regret too. And I can't choose from the ones in your list because the ones I have read, I gave all five stars to. So I'd say it's a very good list!
