The RyanHunter Moment Redux

Grabbed the replay from the moment I'll never outdo to try to lab out something better. (I also have to always make it known that RyanHunter won this set regardless of the craziness in this round!) I have a feeling I can go into the meter burn loop (5h tatami frc jh tatami... repeat), but the spacing makes it a little awkward here. This is my quick attempt at something better than my original c...

Guilty Gear Accent Core +R Baiken Tech Tutorial
Просмотров 18 тыс.3 года назад
This video provides a description of some of the basic techniques you'll need to start playing Baiken at a competent level. I'm much more of a match player than a lab monster, so my setups may not be perfect. Hopefully it should still get the relevant points across. Feel free to ask questions if something isn't clear! I've been playing R since its release (and AC a year or two prior to that) an...

TSBMO Last Chance Qualifier: Zetta (BA) OCV
Просмотров 7603 года назад
Tourney jitters were high all around in this set. To set the stage, both of my teammates were carrying me through most of the rounds due to my tourney jitters. They both lost to the Order Sol player here, and I manage to shake off the jitters enough to anchor OCV the opposing team. These matches are way sloppier than usual due to jitters on both sides, but let's be honest. I'm always sloppy.
Guilty Gear Accent Core +R: Zetta (BA) vs Kesuke (TE)
Просмотров 3,3 тыс.3 года назад
It's absolutely incredible that the netcode is so good I can play one of the top JP players from my home on the US East coast. It's even more incredible that I took a match on him. =D In all honesty I've probably played around 25 games against Kesuke. I've only won two and taken maybe 8 rounds total. The more he plays me, the less I win. The Testament matchup is slightly in Baiken's favor. Baik...
Guilty Gear Accent Core +R: Zetta (BA) vs Ryan Hunter (VE)
Просмотров 1 тыс.3 года назад
I played a long set with Ryan Hunter on stream. It started out with us going about 50/50, but he learned the matchup quicker than I did. There were a lot of fun moments, like the crazy reverse anti-air Baku into a full swagger combo in this video. Venom is probably the definition of an even matchup for Baiken. Here's Ryan's reaction to the Baku nonsense: www.twitch.tv/ryanhunter/clip/FrozenIncr...
Guilty Gear Accent Core +R: Zetta (BA) vs SkeletalMinion (AB)

I've played Skeletal Minion a lot over the years since he used to live in a city near me. We used to go about 50/50, but he got good fast. Now I probably take one in five games on him. This is one of those few games that I took. This matchup is probably about even or slightly in Baiken's favor.
Guilty Gear Accent Core +R: Zetta (BA) vs EatMyWeeWee (PO)

I had a ~7 game set with EatMyWeeWee. He is an incredibly good Potemkin, and this is the only game I won from the entire set. It's a tough matchup for Baiken, but I think I did a lot of things well here.

Decided to upload some of my favorite matches. I had a long set with Sonny a while back. We both adapted extremely well over time. This was about halfway through the set when Sonny started going for unblockables for guaranteed damage rather than standard Eddie oki. There were definitely a few too many greedy j.Hs from my part when I should have just come down with FD. Overall, the set was prett...

bit late but i wanna note. best hitbox method (not keyboard) for tk yzs would be 6239 because you don't have to release down to get it, the socd cleaning in nearly all all buttons controller (the only exception being those who use non standard socd cleaning) prioritizes up inputs over down, so all the inputs after the initial 6 come out as fast as humanly possible since you don't have to remove your fingers after that point.

Suzuran (63214k) is cancellable into guard cancels with normal Baiken. You just have to input 63214k412p, for instance.

1:53 I never would have thought of this myself, but it's so useful! Also since I know how to do this now I decided to see if I could use this with other specials too. I found you could you use the same technique in the corner from 2H to tatami or S Kabari since you can still do a half circle input for quarter circle inputs allowing the OS to be used here as well. The damage difference isn't as huge as the one you showed (since you get a corner combo either way), but I think it's still worth doing since it's essentially the same technique.

    • @FGCZetta
      @FGCZetta 2 года назад
