I had my license sense i was 24. Been a full year i haven’t driven by my self i drive with my dad honestly he doesnt help me mostly scream when i make mistakes. I have driven by myself in my home area sense i feel safer. But these helped me alot seeing someone who has the same problem as me make me want to push myself more and get over my anxiety

Before I booked my flights I was struggling with all those things you mentioned, the "what if I'm lonely" thoughts, overthinking all the details and wanting to do everything, having trouble calculating things 😅 It's nice to know I'm not the only one! Glad I found this video. I first got my license at age 28 and never drove. Finally moved to US and wasn't able to get behind the wheel again. So I never drove for 5 years while living here. Now at age 35, I finally ripped the bandaid and got my US license. I second about driving with family. Although I got my license but I was so nervous when my husband is in the car. Few days ago because of some situation I had to drive back myself in the wee morning and on the highway (for the first time by myself). I was mentally preparing myself for hours and running thru different situations. But when I finally got in the car and drove, the usual anxiety kinda disappeared. It wasn't there. I mean I was still worrying but not as bad. So the summer plan is to keep trying to drive every day for 10 minutes to somewhere and back. I have done a lot of difficult things in life but driving seems to be the most difficult.
