Australia needs to become a Parliamentary Republic. The world still sees us as a British Outpost .
Просмотров 7628 дней назад
This is why Australia is not a true Sovereign nation as yet . It is still under the British Crown and much of the world still sees us as British Colonials or under British rule. It's both sad and UNPATRIOTIC in this day and age as a proud Aussie! Unfortunately there are still (unbelievably) those Australians that call themselves "Patriotic" but they are NOT pure and true Australian patriots if ...

Australia needs its OWN Australian Head of State and to be fully independent from Britain's Monarchy. Until then we are not a true Sovereign Nation under the British Monarch as Head of State. As a proud Australian who has travelled throughout Europe and spent much time in the United States in the 1990s, I know first hand that many foreigners see us as British Colonials , "Southern Hemisphere Br...

the vc nicknamed the SAS the the phantoms of the jungle out of respect because they were ghosts. stories of vc patrols waking up in the morning to find the officers dead with their throats cut. even our regular soldiers were so feared that the head of the VC actually stopped operations in the australian province due to high losses. especially after the battle of long tan when 108 aus/kiwi soldiers of d co ran into a battalion of some 2500 enemy, battle lasted for 3 hours before apcs finally got in their to rescue the soldiers. no one knows the exact casualty figures for the vc but estimates are like 500 plus. there is an excellet movie, australian made called danger close. many aus soldiers either acted or helped ensure as accurat as possible the movie. including the fact that the RAAF helo pilot told a senior army office to go to hell as he had no power to order him to do anything when he asked to resupply the men and was told no. so he loaded his helo with ammo, then flew in and dropped it on the soldiers as it was urgently needed or the men died. also highlights how the kiwis and (not mentioned) american arty also kept the men alive with an almost constant cover barrage. often dropping rounds almost on the mens heads at their reqeust.

So true, I actually read a book written by or on behalf of some of the men present. They actually stated that the VC issued orders that their troops were not to engage with the Australians unless absolutely necessary. This was found out through later dated captured documents from both NVA and VC.🤠👍❤️🇭🇲 I'm Australian myself.

Back in 2002 in Afghanistan, The US would do 1 - 2 day patrols, the Brits would do 4 - 5 day patrols. Whereas the Australian SASR unit would do 20 - 30 days patrols. At most stages the blokes would be in 2 rovers, cruising around Afghanistan .

@@tropicaussie4572 In current times however if WW3 was to pop off they would deploy on their own as well as been attached to a CDO regiment or the SASR. Their was no need for them to operate on their own in recent wars so they never did. 4 SQN B Flight also trains to drop behind enemy lines on their own and train local militia groups just like the SASR & I imagine 1 & 2 CDO. They also train to go behind enemy lines in small teams and set up observation posts to report back and call in air strikes on enemy locations. Their was no need for these capabilities from them in the war on terror so they never got utilized. It doesn't make them any less SF or any less worth of that title. Although their is a difference between Special Forces and Special Operations. In Australia Special Forces is the SASR and Special Operations is 1 & 2 CDO, SOER and No. 4 SQN B Flight......whilst Special Operations can carry out Special Forces missions they are more strike teams or specific advanced skill sets.

years ago when i was 16 we had these new neighbors who moved in next to us, over time we got pretty close. One day when they were over for tea the husband/ father of the family asked me what I was doing after school, and I tolled him i was currently signing up for infantry. He who was working in construction at the time said that he also served, and when I asked what he did in military he said he was SAS. had no idea at the time how hard core this dude was. and you wouldn't be able to pick it either, very switched on but for the most part was just a fairly quite humble guy. from memory I think he served 1 tour in infantry and then anther 2 when he was sas. dude has probably killed more people than I have shot at

You need to plant canopy trees that provide shade and filter the sunlight. Then layer the planting underneath the canopy to mimic the structure of a natural tropical vegetation community. Different levels of plants i.e. understorey and groundcover. You will need to do research about what plants can handle the varying levels of filtered light under the canopy trees.

This country was virtually founded by British and Irish criminals as a convict colony over 240 years ago. It now seems to be a criminals' paradise as incarceration terms for Violent Crime and Murder are an absolute joke ! Apparently an innocent human life, at least in Queensland when murdered by a teenager under 18 , is only worth a pathetic 15 years !
