This good hard work

That’s exactly what I wanted. Wanted to do. I said I wanna run away to the forest.

I know this is meant for religious or spiritual people. I dont worry about the spiritual and religious beliefs in being trans. Life, my biology, made me trans. I have a female brain that has a male body. I will always be dysphoric because I cant go back in time and I cant make me cis gender female. But following my truth, living as who I am, not living as others feel more comfortable with, is what I need to do. I have only so many years left. No one has proof of anything else. I want to live those years as true to myself as possible. Maybe that is spiritual. I do agree that I have a spirit. The energy, knowledge, combined experienced, wisdom you may call spirit. But i will not live in accordance with other peoples beliefs when they counter my beliefs. I am trans. Its my biology.

I know you hit the nail on the hammer. I’ve been dealing with that for such a long time. I know what you’re talking about. It’s been hindering me for quite two years now I have a chance to move forward with my life and I keep getting getting back and forth because of the thing talking about with spirituality.

Hi Lauren, you are one of those RUclipsrs I wish would post more often, but in this latest video, I think you exceeded your usual production values and also delivered a raw, uncompromising and honest view of life in the forest. I feel for you. I am tired of the city and would dearly love to go to the forest. I do have a small cabin at the bottom of my gardem that I could convert to overlook the woods, but I am still in the city and also it would be unlikely I could just be my 'new' self (as I head towards my first whole year on HRT0. Will you be coming back to city life then? I hope, as the title suggests, that you are not the one afraid to start over, but I would totally understand it if that was the case. All the best to you! This was really healing. I'm really at a place where I'm looking for trans elders (no age comment, I'm just a baby trans) After spending my entire teenage years questioning my sexuality, I've kind of gotten to this realisation myself. When you've been confused about yourself for so long you just stop being confused and let other people be confused instead, lol. And it's relieving! But the problem for me is that if you don't have answers, what do you tell other people? I would prefer to just go about my life but when it comes to things like hrt, idk I guess I just feel like I need to have answers when people ask. Maybe I've been wrong about that.

You are so much to me in my journey

There's a conspiracy to destroy all trans people. The elites are utilizing trans people for their own agenda. Not all trans people are part of or subscribe to the "woke agenda". The push to have all things trans in your face in an aggressive manner, allowing men to rape girls in bathrooms at their schools, or men to abuse women in female sports, making grotesque trans shows in tv, portraying trans people as enemies of everything good and decent and beautiful, seems to me as done in purpose to elicit hate towards trans people instead of the pursuit of inclusion and acceptance.

As a gay man that is actively opposed to trans ideology, I am also opposed to the demonisation of trans people. I really believe that true compassion comes from understanding, rather than just forced behaviour through legislation, which builds resentment and the divisiveness that you reference. The trans movement from the 1980-2000 differs vastly from the movement from 2000-202x, in the same way that second-wave feminism differs from third-wave feminism. As an opponent to the politicisation of sex/sexuality/gender, I like to remind people that the vast majority of people just want to live in peace (and some are struggling to do that with themselves, let alone others). The problem of politics always occurs when worlds collide, and the vast majority of the change from first-wave trans to second-wave trans is the way that conformity has been replaced by radicalism in the gender paradigm. There are old trans people that mourn the day that their greatest 'problem' was just fitting in with the gender binary that they desired ... and now it is the very gender binary that is under assault too ... which has had the effect of friendly fire and collateral damage. Trans people and cis people need to listen to this video over and over and over to understand how this vicious cycle works. When I studied gender theory at uni over 20 years ago, the word 'internecine' was used to describe this phenomenon ... and now I see it everywhere.

Being born in a rich western nation is the best thing that has happened to most of us. You are speaking from extreme privilege. However, putting aside the pragmatics of living, as a gay man that rejects queer political ideology, I still think that you have made an encouraging statement that could really be ecumenical in many ways. I think that there are many people who should find comfort in this message.

Loved the observation around 2:00! There are so many pitfalls in early transition. Whether it’s jumping into the new mode of being unconsciously, or rejecting the call of transformation you’ve received. So many of us enter this process as blind people following blind teachers. I hope one day, we are integrated into wider spiritual narratives in a way that allows us to be better guides to those who hear this particular call.

I know you don't intend it Lauren I know you are a good soul. But your perspective is dangerous in the way that you're promoting people to take what they are given. When someone is suicidal due to gender identity problems, the suffering is NOT OPTIONAL. Some of the things that you think can't be changed right now, can absolutely be changed right now especially when you do not accept anything less. And in some situations, you cannot accept anything less. This isn't the choice, it's just a reality of what happens when you have a strong neurological alignment with female instincts and the opposite bodily attributes. You are, to some degree, promoting The narrative that nature does not make mistakes. However, it is much more productive to promote Transhumanism. With that comes the right to make yourself right in your own body. No one should be brought into this world and made to take what they are given no matter what.

One very important point in my life came . When i discovered that to learn how to suffer well is of primary importance . Everyone suffers but not everyone learns and master their suffering . Suffering is a large part of our existence and teaches us many things . Suffering can help us to attain true love for others and a peace that cannot be broken . Although we can go against this and seek revenge and become angry and bitter .

The trees and nature grow and exist in harmony . We humans have free will and moral choices . So we can suffer more acutely as our mind soul and body , might not be in harmony with nature , with other humans or with God . This is why love alone (not sex , as love is spirit ) can bring us true fulfilment and peace in our hearts and our world . I wish you well Lauren . Thank you for your video .

In one moment of almost dying I discovered the truth of life. That short period of time filled my spirit so full I felt as if bullets could be deflected off my chest. I was one breath from death yet I felt more alive. Does that make sense? That one event kept me going for months.

The first part of this reminds me of a book I have not read yet: After the Ecstacy, the Laundry by Jack Kornfield. Cocooning is nice. I keep worrying that I am hiding rather than staying where I need to be, in stillness, but whenever I am at peace, I feel that this is where I need to be for now, just appreciating existence like a leaf in the stream.

I think about this topic a lot. The best I can come up with is in order to uncover your spiritual self, you must uncover the complexity of your physical self that includes gender. I think the opposite also may be true - the more you uncover your spiritual self, the more sense you can make of your physical self that includes gender. Development of one without the other gets you stuck. Of course, if you are not trans, none of this is relevant. You are lucky enough not to have to confront the issue of gender identity. You may need to resolve other issues in your physical life to develop your spiritual life, but gender identity is not one of them. As trans people, we have a unique challenge on the physical side to find ways to better align our minds and bodies. As Lauren points out, as we do this we are free to develop our spiritual side where gender is frequently understood as unimportant. I like to think even on the spiritual side there is gender. When we come to terms with our gender on the physical side, we can approach our spiritual side in our true gender and self. By bringing our physical and spiritual gender together we become more loving, happy and better persons. I do not hear this point of view discussed because the general understanding is there is no gender in our spiritual life. For me, I feel I can better experience a more fulfilling spiritual life after having decided to deal with my dysphoria and starting my transition. Now, I must say, these ideas seem in contradiction to the prevailing ideas associated with Non-duality, Vedanta, and even Buddhism, not to mention many Christian denominations. For these movements, any separation of body and mind is not properly understood. From their perspective, our physical life is some kind of illusion we are stuck in from which we would do well to become unstuck. Buddhism of course is a bit different in the sense our goal is to release ourselves from suffering by overcoming desire. Unfortunately, I have yet to find in these spiritual approaches a satisfying discussion of the transgender experience. They do not claim it is a twisted sense of ourselves that keep us stuck in our physical experience. They just simply ignore the idea of being trans along with other aspects of all people’s feelings and physical perceptions. Honestly, I have a hard time wrapping my head around those ideas. But, the non-dualist will say that is my problem - I am trying to wrap my head around them. It just somehow has to come to you. Ugh! Lauran, miss you on RUclips.
