    Went through the tele track in a 100 series and never got one single drop of water come inside at all. Pajeros, and land rovers, were always flooded. If you tackle it at the speed these bozo,s are going yourasking for trouble.

    Utter amateur. Didn't walk it first, tyre pressures too high and entered the creek WAY too fast (just gently ease into it, like a gentleman).

    we crossed in a hilux with a camper trailer no turbo 2.8 diesel had my tyre pressure down to 10 pound with snorkel with cooper sst's in late June 2010. There is really no excuse of getting stuck here.

    Can't believe there was a Jayco being towed to Cape York. I have an "Offroad" Eagle but would never consider for a second to take it a trip like that.

    idiots like this are a great example of stupidity. Just because they have a 4wd it does not mean they know how to drive. he is a classic example of how to destroy our teacks. Next timne any one suggests you go for a trip please decline for all the experienced drivers out there.

    for driving through water, damage can occur if drive into water too fast. eg break fan blades, and if you dont notice it you can overheat or cook your engine.

    why do you cover the front of the car with plastic??

    • @artworkferguson5203
      @artworkferguson5203 6 лет назад

      samuel madeira Mate you cover the radiator/front of the Car so that when you go through you don't flatten the fins on the radiator. And if you don't have a snorkel it helps to a degree with preventing water getting into the air intake

    You have to walk this crossing to understand why everyone gets stuck where the Pejero did. If you hug the left or right bank, it is a much firmer surface. If you attemp straight through the centre, south to north, there is a very sandy boggy section in the middle. It is not the vehicle, but the line taken. First vehicle in our convoy got stuck, every other vehicle went straight through on the left or right bank.. It's just unfortunate for the trip leader if not walked correctly.. Notoruios xing

    @TraxxasKing - It seems a weird trip to make if he is brand new to 4wding. Best tip is take a training course, make sure you & the car are ready, and then get to grips with things locally before heading out into the wild blue yonder.

    @flava001 say that after you have crossed the nullabor in a pajero with suspension seats. also i own a 1990 pajer diesel and the most advanced piece of electronic equipment in it is the stereo so they are very good for crossing rivers. have had it up to the door handels in a creek and she still started first turn of the key

    having a cruiser or patrol doesn't mean shit. If you're a shit driver you'll get bogged whether you're driving a cruiser, patrol or a freakin' tank! from the way that pajero driver was driving through that puddle he looked like he'd had a few too many 5 minutes before, had his wheels pointing the wrong way on recovery as well which just prolonged his dunk. If you're gonna do this track, get a bot of a clue how to drive the bush beforehand.. don't blame the pajero

    Should have been driving a landcruiser, mine got through fine, was deeper too, had to pull a couple of pootrols through. Ps, ya didn't see and sunnies in the creek did ya? Lost mine having a swim there! Great stuff though!

    I did this crossing in my patrol with no suspension 2 days before this (blew out airbag suspension). We met up with the owner of the pajero in seisa and turns out he had to boat his car back to cairns to get a reconditioned gearbox. Poor guy was brand new to 4wding and he says he is never doing it again! :(

    Great vid guys, we are the guys in the green GQ and the white hilux, that pajero also was tagging along with us until bamaga. After the crossing it took about and hour to dry out all the electrics on the pajero to stop the computer from shutting the engine down. By the time we got to bamaga the pajero still had heaps of the warning lights on and only could get 2nd gear. great trip though- thanks for posting.....
