The Galarian legendary birds being not directly related to their standard counterparts due to the types of birds they're based on is an interesting idea. When you get right down to it, there's a pretty sizable number of variations one could make to this based on different methodologies, like basing it more on the shared appearances of Pokemon than the actual animal kingdom, or focusing on the final forms rather than the base ones.

The description of Stari made me think of Steven universe :) Maybe Stari and Deoxys are actually gems from homeworld, but people in the world of pokemon just label anything that's alive as a pokemon
