Just paid $79.99 for a bottle (11/2024). Sipping on it now and watching the review. This bad boy has a lot of flavor and drinks the full proof...116 and you can taste it. For the proof, the nose is mild.

So the Somalia on my expensive river cruise in Venice and beyond, said the first sip doesn't count to review. The second sip should slide gently around your tongue to engage all your taste buds. I am a Dusse VSOP fan cus it doesn't taste like gut rot. I only have a short serving AND OMG only sharevit with my very special friends. I can't bring myself to spend $160 for a black bottle of Dusse that has a lot of OAK. I'm not an oak fan. I'm a lady, and I don't drink to get drunk. I enjoy it after a relaxing bubble bath when I slip into my sheer baby doll nighty with my feather heeled slippers. Cheers.

They do a yearly cask strength at 55abv. Usually harder to find. Limited yearly release.

It's very interesting to see what's made it to the US - I would have not expected to see Springbank 10 yo just sitting on the shelf given how quickly it disappears in the UK. What really caught my attention was that they were carrying a Cadenhead's Enigma bottle - those are not usually made in very large batches, and I've only ever seen them in Cadenhead's shops over here. I didn't see the price in the shop you visited, but they're often very fair relative to official bottlings (though, as the name suggests, they can deviate from the typidal distillery profile significantly). Should you ever come across the 15 yo Campbeltown Enigma, I would suggest that you buy it immediately; it's a roughly 50:50 blend of Hazelburn and Kilkerran and is wonderful...

Good review, I never tried it but almost got it. I do like Arte Nom 1146 Anjeo $99.00 bottle, and from what I understand it is made at the same distillery. I hear people online calling it baby tears. I really like 1146, and is just as dark as tear for an Anjeo.
