Dealing with Trump: What Ukraine and Europe Should Do!
Donald Trump is the clear frontrunner to win the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election.
This has sent governments around the world into a spin. Fearful of what Trump means for trade, NATO, and most of all America First, responses have ranged from defensive to hysterical. Some diplomats and political leaders have even crossed the line into open partisan attacks, seeking to inject themselves into America's democratic processes.
Here Crispin reveals his own experience with Trump and his America First surrogates, providing a deep-dive analysis of their thinking with a specific and pragmatic strategy for those who are hoping to influence a Trump White House to continue supporting Ukraine.

Poland currently doesn't need any common country with Lithuania. Current Lithuania has no economic, military and demographic potential. It would only be a problem for Poland. At the time when the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth was established, Lithuania was much larger than Poland and included present-day Belarus, Ukraine and part of Russia. Present Lithuania is only Samogitia.

But Darwin says the sink or swim is normal. The idea that we should ALL find partners is the opposite of that. The idea of competition is how it’s supposed to be. If YOU have to compete for women, it means YOU, males, are subject to Darwin and women are NOT. So again you promoting everyone finds a partner is obviously UNNATURAL

I think the Intermarium union would be a better choice, there's too much bad blood and bad history between all the nations that would presumably reform PLC. Intermarium would also include Romania, Croatia, Hungary, Czech Republic (possibly) in addition to Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia (possibly), Belarus and Ukraine. And no, inviting Austria is out of the question given their animosity if not slowly simmering disdain for Poles or any other slavic nation. This kind of a political, economic and military union would be a lot more beneficial for all parties involved. Commonwealth also hasn't stood the test of time since it fell apart not just because of outer conflicts but also inner ones too (Polish nobility being the main cause of it and I'm stating this being a Pole myself).

That feeling when u come 1 year late to the party but still want to dance xD I've carefully listened to the fella and read some of the comments and it made me think a bit History leaves a heavy mark on a society and its mentality. Partitioning came to an end over 100 years ago, yet till this day map of election results (in my country) depicts perfectly its former borders. Soviet era is no longer, but sometimes people still expect gov to come to them personally and solve every problem they have. I'm sure you can think of many better examples. Did period of commonwealth marked us as well? I firmly believe that Commonwealth mark us with a legacy. Culture based on freedom built by generation upon generations gave birth to relentless defiance in face of oppression. We are children of freedom. Our freedom is very diffrent to freedom of other people. We don't have to buy twitter to have freedom of speech. We don't need to have other people under our heel to feel free. We can't really be free when we see other in shackles. I strongly believe that our way is the baltic way. Our way is Solidarity way. Our way is Maidan way. Our way is to protest the tyrant rigging election. Our way is to help each other. Our way is to care for public space, because public means it belongs to us and we take care for whats ours. XIX century came and idea of nations emerged. Somehow, suddenly, identity of person next to me becomes a danger to my identity. His language and culture are mortal enemy to my language and my culture. It doesn't have to be this way. There can be a Belarussian from jewish family saying in polish: Lithuania! My homeland! ~~~~~~~ ...Back to the video. Fella proposed confederation of Poland, Belarus, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. Not just PL+LT. He proposed joint body, which would determine: - foreign policy - domestic policy - policy towards EU. + joint army. Joint army would definitely be more effective. 1 army is simply more than 4 armies in military math. The bad news it would probably prompt west to do even less in terms of their contribution. Sound ideas might cause unexpected consequences of allies. We are already second-class NATO members (- upholding nato russia founding act of 1997 is a proof of that). He made very valid point in terms of EU influence. Britain used to counterweight France and Germany. Currently FR+D are not hiding their ambition to rule EU together (-infamous 12 experts group report - proposal concerning voting system in face of EU enlargement). United voice of "eastern" Europe could counterbalance that.

    • @user-pf7nl7xx4n

It all started with Edwin Flack at the first modern Olympics. Australia didn't even exist properly at the time, but he rocked up for fun and dominated. Back then you weren't allowed to be a professional athlete, so when Edwin went he was naturally very fit compared to other runners due to the Australian way of life at the time. He became a massive cult hero in Australia and from that point on it was a huge thing for Australia. It was 5 years before federation, so it was about the time where we went from a colony to a nation with an identity, and so it had a lot of weight. And it only grew from there as a very important part of our culture.
