Louis Sullivan’s Charnley-Persky House with assistance from his junior draftsman, Frank Lloyd Wright

I think about walking up to the house and I know it will bring me to tears. Like you said even thinking about it tears me up. I spent about 12 hours in this cave back in 1983. It was both beautiful and the scariest thing I've ever done. The waist-deep water wasn't bad, but wriggling (like worms) through long tiny tunnels (barely shoulder with and 12" high) on our bellies was the worst. I'd NEVER do anything like that today. And possibly the most memorable part of that day was after coming out of the cave, looking up and seeing the sky. Completely white with stars. I've never seen a night sky like that before or since that day. Great experience and a day I'll never forget.
