It’s something the game does by default when ashina gets raided after the corrupted monk fight, in his case it’s after the flower he got the mortal blade.
@mau6361 i knew when ashina got raided if you hadn't unlocked that idol it's got unlocked automatically by default but travelling through last idol option when his last idol wasn't in ashina.

if you don't miss any deflects your posture doesn't break, if you do miss deflects and just get blocks it will break
