First of all, processors get tested earlier than they go on sale. Secondly, every time before the appearance of official tests, tests in some benchmarks appear on the network. How real they are - we will know for 100% only after the first official tests.

Why would they? If you look across a huge number of benchmarks the 14th series is right near the performance of AMD's marketing cache. Some games are even better on intel's. Just about all benches show Intel cpus without the marketing cache win over AMDs without the marketing cache. Now that Intel is using TSMC the power should be much lower. Though this video says 3nm, TSMCs nodes are NOT true 3nm at all. It's more like a 6nm node, because in China, Taiwan it's mostly just lies anyway. Cheap products with pennies on the workforce that charge a "made in usa" price tag.

Stronger IPC is what Intel has in favor against Ryzen. When the 5000 series AMD cpus released AMD caught back up to Intel against their 10th gen Intel but after with 12th gen Intel pretty much stayed in the lead. AMDs problem is that they think they can charge the premium like Intel but their fanbase doesn't like it one bit. This is why AMD must reduce prices everytime quickly to gain market share. If you ask me any cpu from the past few years will serve anyone just the same. It's getting hard to show any difference with gpus but maybe a 4090. Why? AMD and Intel are now both using TSMC so it's stupid to say one has the upperhand over the other. Performance per watt yes AMD has but Intel with TSMC now will have the same probably or close at least. Nvidia is also TSMC's large customer which is why AMD can't compete on the higher end of the GPU stack. WHen AMD had their own fabs it was great but poor decisions within AMD let to their near bankruptcy and 2$ shares at the time. AMD now has a huge army of marketers EVERYWHERE. I have never seen such a huge army and swarms of marketers in my life. Intel and Nvidia have no where near this amount on social media anywhere to be found. This is one thing I will give userbenchmark. The only thing I'll give them.

Make sure you check the power settings they have it set in their testing. That will be the reason in most cases why the multi-threading performance will be so different from review to review. Intel themselves on one of their slides showed the 285k beat the 14900k at 125 watts in multi-threading workloads but the 14900k likely will be better than the 285k at 250+ watts.

@@bobb1257 Thanks for the tip. I'm thinking of getting a new rig since some time, and I think I'll go for new Z890. I mean the price/quality is better with i9-14900KF (and even more with KS) but this chip is starting to set as the next generations of intel CPU couldn't get into that good old Intel 1700. It's not fair, it's consumer society to force you to change your MB if you just want to update your CPU. Well I need to think about that possible update criteria so the newcomer seems a logic choice, even if I'm at risks without the working-well old series.

@@alexandresporrer No worries! Unfortunately both sides are having this issue. AM5 has only been note worthy for the 7800x3D and I don't have much hope for the 9800x3D. In my eyes there is only one generation so far on there. So Intel forcing people on new boards may help them bring out better CPUs and generations further on.

...of 1080P gaming where the cache makes a difference...in 4K gaming no so much - in workloads, best get a cup of coffee.

Ryzen is quiet there yet. Only good for the game. But slow 7800x3d. Some say it is cpu bottleneck. Already ddr5 8000 to 10000 for intel ultra core. That is good news. Amd isn't still there yet.

Only on Gaming 1080p YEAH, other Works sucks to much.

@@Ladioz likely wont matter with a processors this powerful (but depends on the game). Both are great, you should pretty much only go for 9900X over 7800X3D if you are into development/video making/3D rendering. If its just for gaming 7800X3D all the way
