I usually find chicken soup "fowl"🐔but yours looked "souperior". The cheese scones don't look too "crumby" either, you "cheddar" believe it! With all these lovely recipes I think you two will "scone-quer" RUclips! BTW I love Wendy's wand for mixing the scone dough. where did that come from? 😀🥰💞
Hi CC, I don’t know how you think these comments up but you make me smile. Those scones were so good, and so easy. That mixing thing was from TEMU, it is pretty good really 😍🥰❤️😘👍
Hi both ❤ what a great idea that - loved the video - I do love chicken soup - ooh those cheese scones just the ticket to go with it ❤❤❤
Hi Pauline, I’m not sure what Wendy did to those scones but they were fantastic with the soup. 🥰😍❤️😘👌
My favourite scones, you can't beat a nice fresh cheese scone, the chicken soup looks good but I'm with Wendy on the tomato soup, preference ,another really enjoyable video guys 👍 👏 👏👏👏
Hi Richard, tomato soup takes some beating and the scones were so good they didn’t last very long. The would be a good combination that’s right mate 👏👏👏👏👍
Cheese scones with chicken soup sounds amazing. It has been -4C here all day today. My gruel is frozen solid so WHERE"S MINE???
Hi Vince, nice to know the gruel is frozen solid but you’re not. It cold enough to freeze the ***** off a brass monkey. It’s freezing here but worse for you I think. It will be bursting pipes next. We had a walk today but not for long. Keep smiling mate and sorry but the soup and scone went down the hatch 😂😂😂😂👋👋👋👋👍
Thanks for this video. I'll be batch cooking vegetable soup tomorrow and freezing a few as it's only here. My whisk is metal so I'll decant into a plastic bowl before blasting.
Hi Robert, yes mate be very careful with metal utensils. Our hand blender is only a cheap one but it’s plastic 👍
@@grahamgetsabout2672 Thanks. As long as it does the job who cares?

Hi Christine, it was tasty, cheap quick and easy. That’s four good reasons to have it. 😋😋😋😋😍🥰❤️😘.
Excellent video well explained
Thank you Ian, it’s always nice to know. 👏👏👏👍
Can't beat a proper stick to your ribs stew, especially in this chilly weather. Only thing I'd do is swap the onion for a leek.😋😋😋😋 Cheers! Mel x.
Hi Mel, I wouldn’t blame you mate, it’s all good stuff in cold weather. 👏👏👏👋👋👍
Hi Graham thanks the stew was amazing you did a video a year or more ago for beef stroganoff in the slow cooker i am not tech savvy can you share the recipe with me if you can regards David
Well fancy that David, it’s not in the description is it. We will find the book out and sort it out for you. If you like the stew you will love the stroganoff. I like it best with rice but Wendy likes this pasta version. 👋👋👋👋👍
Hi David, blimey Wendy found that quick. This straight from the book. SERVES 4 50 g/2 oz/% cup butter or margarine 2 onions, finely chopped 30 ml/2 tbsp plain (all-purpose) flour Salt and freshly ground black pepper 700 g/1% Ib lean braising steak, cut into thin slices 300 ml/½ pt/4% cups beef stock 100 g/4 oz mushrooms, thickly sliced 5 ml/1 tsp dried mixed herbs 15 ml/1 tbsp tomato purée (paste) 15 ml/1 tbsp wholegrain mustard 150 ml/% ps/% cup soured (dairy-sour) cream 15 ml/1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Hi Graham and Wendy, thanks for a great review 👍
Hi Rosemary, it’s so nice to hear from you on our channel. We are pleased with ours so far. Love from us both xxx
Hi both❤ what a great stew - warming and comforting - I couldn’t believe the price of that tin of soup and of course fresh is best - I’ve got diced beef in freezer but need to get some veg to make it - can’t wait. - depends in weather today if I go out or not 🤪❤️ I love my cosori pressure cooker ❤ ❤❤
Hi Pauline, the stews are fantastic in the cosori pressure cooker. We couldn’t live without it. They work out good value and I love them even more the second day. 😍🥰❤️😘👍👌
Yes it matures and is gorgeous the second day ❤️
Why did you have to change the seal on your pressure cooker lid?
Hi Christine, I forget we have many new subscribers. We use our pressure cooker a lot and found we were getting a smell from the sealing ring. They are expensive from cosori and found these fit perfect. After washing I leave them in the fresh air and change the seals. This seems to work. We have a link to the seals in the description below the video if you are interested. Cosori pressure cooker Silicone Sealing Rings. amzn.to/49x83Mp
Wow, thank you for your quick response. I have the same pressure cooker as you, but haven't been confident on timings etc. Thank so much for the helpful info
@@christineproctor1676 hi Christine, you may not have experienced a smelly ring. Sorry I don’t know how else to put it 😂😂😂😂. I often stand scratching my head but it such a useful appliance. I love souse vide and I had never heard of it until I got this Cosori pressure cooker. Thank you for replying 🥰😍❤️😘
@@grahamgetsabout2672 Have you put a video on RUclips demonstrating the sous vide way of cooking? My son bought me a large tank and a sous vide 'machine', but it seems to take so long to cook
@ hi Christine, that’s the thing with sous vide. It’s ready in about 2 hrs but it doesn’t overcook if you leave it a lot longer and it’s consistent. I think I’ve done steak and pork steaks they cook just right. There might be more, sorry you would think I would know wouldn’t you 😂😂😍🥰❤️😘
Hi Graham and Wendy what a lovely stew you could put a few more veg in what is left for a chunky soup tomorrow heron have some lovely bargains I'll do a d stew in my slow cooker I'll get some of that beef I think if I don't have brazing steak in the freezer and I'll get some veg that's it it's Thursdays tea sorted .Graham I got a pork joint when pork was half price I paid 6 pound odd for a joint which should of been over twelve pound I cooked it new years eve had some on dinner on New Year's day the chips a roast pork the next day I wrapped it up and put it in fridge and we had it done Sunday for tea it was still so moist happy new year love fran xxx
Hi Fran, I always think a stew is better the second day. The trouble is making sure we have some left 😂😂😂😂😂 You did well with that pork joint. That meat hamper I bought from the market has been fantastic. The price of a joint of meat is frightening but still works out to be better value. I bet your sat in the warm looking at all the holiday getaways for this next year. I hope I’m right, Judith charmers would be proud of you Fran. We feel it’s time to start planning something. 👏👏👏👏🤞👌👍 love Graham and Wendy xx
Hi Wendy and Geaham. Good job ongthe soup/stew Graham. I've got the same pressure cooker and am wondering if I've missed something about the seal. Have you gad to change yours !?

We have just finished off a stew I made yesterday in the slow cooker. £4 for the diced beef, carrots onions and parsnips about a £1. 2 packs of beef casserole mix 70p a tin of new potatoes 35p, a dumpling mix 70p. So about £6.50 and it served me the missis and the daughter yesterday and me and the missis today. Oh I did make some bread in the breadmaker to mop up the gravy. My plate was so clean it didn't really need the dishwasher!!! All the ingredients came from Aldi, we do find the meat there to be better quality than Iceland. It really is a great meal especially when the weather is so cold.
Hi Mal, That’s great value, you can’t beat a good stew. Those casserole mixes seem better than they used to don’t you think. Well done mate 👏👏👍
Where did the meat come from
Heron foods David. 👋👋👍
Thanks Graham will make this 👍
@ hi David , it’s not the best quality meat but it’s not so expensive. I would say give it a try. Thank you 👋👋👋👋👍
Lovely, you can't beat a nice quick and easy beef stew especially with bread and butter,I always buy the Bisto gravy granules,I know they can be a bit dearer than some but thankfully the staff discount helps,I like salty,Carol says I eat too much salt, great video once again Graham and Wendy 👍👏👏👏👏👏
Hi Richard, you can’t beat a nice stew when it’s cold outside. We don’t have to much salt but definitely to much cake. 😂😂😂😂😂👋👋👋👋👋👍

Hi Gill, I love these stews and soups this time of year. It’s the best thing about the winter 👏👏👏🥰😍❤️😘
just what we need this cold weather graham, his lordship and i love a tasty stew. what was the meat like graham, i am always a bit wary of buying that prepacked meat, but things are so expensive now ,that we have to look for the bargains where we can find them. we like to have dumplings with them, his lordship said that you were an ace man for putting worchester sauce in it, he just loves it . keep yourselves warm , love to wendy xxxxxx
Hi Grace, I thought it was a stew but Wendy said it’s a big soup. Whatever the name it was very nice. Wendy said the meat wasn’t great but as you say it’s so expensive, we have tried mixing it half and half before. Worcester sauce makes everything nice my lordship 👌 it’s all floods around here at the moment take care love from Wendy and me 😍🥰❤️😘👋👋👋👋👋👋
No dumplings?
I’ve let you down again Andy 👋👋👋👋
You've solved a problem for me. I'm making a stew tomorrow and haven't pressure cooked before. I'll use your method but with chicken and leeks instead of onion.
Hi Robert, I hope all goes well. You will soon get used to pressure cooking the way you like best. 👋👋👋👌
Just what the doctor ordered for this freezing and appalling weather Yung'Un, I have been around ALDI today buying vastly reduced price Christmas treats, including Christmas Puddings with a use by date of Jan 2026 and luxury stollen logs for a fraction of pre Christmas prices. Question, Can you do gruel stew in that thingymajig? WHEWRE"S MINE???
Hi Vince, does that mean no skip diving this week. It looks like I better get my bus pass out this time. We’ve had that much flooding around here we can’t get out of the village. We love that thingymajig 😂😂😂😂👋👋👋👋👍👌

It is actually winter, so expect winter weather!!!🙄
@ hi Anne, apparently not everyone in the world is getting our winter weather at the moment. 🤷♂️😍🥰😘
Hi Graham. That to me is chunky soup - but if you just add 2 (turnips) & dumplings - thats a stew. I have noticed that Wendy & yourself call what I call a swede - turnip. Here in Kent a turnip is the size of an average onion & are either green & white or purple & white. lol. Enjoyed watching your video.
Hi Janet, I thought it was a stew and Wendy said it was a chunky soup. I never sure what’s a turnip or a swede, I thought I had got it but I haven’t. You will have to edit that part yourself 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. It was nice and a soup can have anything you have in it. 👏👏👏👏😍🥰❤️😘👌

Hi both❤ I’ve been thinking of getting a dehumidifier so that I can use when I want to dry my laundry - so glad you’ve done this video - it was very informative. Thanks Graham 🙏❤
Hi Pauline, it’s hard to explain. It seems other people have been doing things this way for sometime and are telling me so. It’s great to get the feedback. 😍🥰❤️😘👍
We had a damp issue in the spare back bedroom , rain water was getting into the cavity wall , after the repair we bought a similar brand and I could not believe the amount of moisture it as collected in the water tank , not tried it on drying setting but will do.
Hi mate, we didn’t know what to expect with the cloths drying but it defiantly works better for us. I have also noticed a difference in our hygrometer readings in the house in general. we don’t run it all the time, just when the readings are high. 👋👋👋👋👍
Another great review Graham 👍👏👏👏👏
Hi Richard, we’ve not had any damp but it still made a big deference and helps a lot with the washing. 👋👋👋👍
Hello Graham, incase it helps someone if it's ok to share our experience using de humidifiers. We live in an eight bedroomed Victorian house, we have family living here with us,m we're all pensioners and we lost our heating allowance and so have had to cut back drastically. So we decided to invest in three d hums because of the damp that could result from not having heating on. Sorry this is so long Graham but we have been amazed at the difference these machines make. We get the washing dry,we put two of the machines in the dining room With washing on Airers and close the door. We run them fours hours at about 5pence per hour and it gets dry. These machines are an economical investment, oh and no musty smell anymore. 😃👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼❤️ hi again Graham this is our twelve litre one, Tannes the other two are another make 20 litres. I would highly recomend this model.
Well well Christine. I didn’t want to say how fantastic this machine is but you know how good they are and this machine in particular. I’ve been checking and rechecking for two months and I could have just asked you 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I bet you’re laughing as well. Thank you for sharing with us all Christine 😍🥰❤️😘👌
@@grahamgetsabout2672 I forgot to mention Graham we use our, tannes in the bathrooms, bedrooms and in our main kitchen which is large and old. Th lower cupboards had a musty smell so we ran the tannes for few hours leaving the cupboards doors open and the musty smell is fading. This little machine is a powerful and quite little star, I give it five stars.😃👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼❤️

happy new year you you both , you have started the new year well with this recipe, it certainly looks delish and seems so easy to make but impressive when finished. his lordship said to ask you to take him off the snow on the cake as his feet are freezing. and to save him a slice. i will be making this pavlova when we next have visitors because the merengue can be made the day before and will make a lovely pud, love to you both xxxxx
Happy new year both of you, the Pavlova is a favourite with me but Wendy wasn’t s9 keen so I’ve had to wait until now to have one at home. It was that good Wendy made another one for New Year’s Eve when her two brothers came round. This one was raspberry and looked that good I cut it into four and it disappeared sharpish. Before I could even take a picture. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 do worry Pete the cake is disappearing and you will soon be safe and sound back in your little dox until next year 👏👏👏👏👏👍 Wendy made the merengue the day before and it really is as easy as it looks. Xxxxx Wendy has a hoop and I have a stick so get started we’re on our way now 😂😂😂😂😍🥰❤️😘
Hi both ❤ Oh I’ve just got to make this - it looked so easy to do - got to use my favourite word here - it looked yummy - so scrumptious ❤❤❤ omg that Christmas cake looked great ❤️thanks both ❤
Hi Pauline, we were a little surprised how well the pavlova came out when it seemed so easy. The trick seems to be take your time mixing. We’ve eaten two now, it’s nice with raspberries as well 😍❤️😘😋
That is one awesome looking Pavlova and it appears not to complicated to make. I do like a piece of cheese with Christmas cake, that is when some kind soul with pity in their heart donates some to me. The Coop is very expensive, I called into a local one once, I had ran out of gruel, and I looked at the prices and turned around and walked out. The original Coop concept is long gone. I remember when they had their own Coop coin like tokens and Divi stamps. They don't even have bins around the back I can rummage through looking for scraps. I popped into Morrisons yesterday and I needed CPR when I saw the prices. All that remains to be said now is WHERE"S MINE ???
Hi Vince, I know I’ve pushed this Pavlova a little but it was so easy to make with the mixer. It was so good and fresh. A couple from Yorkshire got us eating cheese with Christmas cake, it seemed an odd idea but it’s so nice isn’t it. The old co-op buildings have a distinct architecture don’t they. Even our old 1950’s local is a similar design. The strawberries were £2.50 and £1.86 I think. That why we drive six miles for a shop.👏👏👏👏👏👍
@@grahamgetsabout2672 My late Father was from Bolton, Lancashire and he used to eat cheese with Christmas cake. Another one to try is cheese with Soreen malt loaf. Aldi sell a nice malt loaf, and even ginger cake.
@ thank you Vince, it’s all new to me 👏👏👏👏👏👍
@@grahamgetsabout2672 I have always eaten a wedge of cheese with Christmas cake and I came from Melton Mowbray area
