This is the best cushcore video I ve ever seen.

I had a lbs install cushcore now both wheels wobble. Took it back to lbs and they tried again but wheels still wobbly need help

The hammer/ rim method I found highly unorthodox. The biggest help for me was PRE-STRETCHING the Cushcore before starting. I found this video to be ok but not applicable for “everyone to do at home”

Yeah you guys suck. I think if you’d have made the video even remotely realistic I wouldn’t be so pissed off, but instead you just sort of blatantly lie about the three hours and 3 pairs of hands you actually used in between takes. Today was my first tire change for my one and only cushcore and I ended up just throwing the cushcore in the garbage instead of struggling with it again. If you had made a realistic video, I wouldn’t talk every one of my buddies out of getting one. 🖕

This should be the first video shown, It helped me get my tire on the rim. It does take some strength still to get it on the rim.

Great video, I know this could be frustrating. That unit I literally gave up and took it to the bike shop. The secret weapon/tool here is literally the garbage can bahahaha. Boy did I felt stupid 🤦🏻‍♂️ Just became a customer so let’s see how it goes. I wish the air valves would come in different colors, or at least in black. One tip for getting the tire off the bead. Use the tire lever as shown but give it a light tap with a rubber mallet. Worked for me, where doing it by hand wouldnt.

Save time if you're swapping out new rubber.Just cut the tire off, right down the centre all the way around, remove cushcore, then the two halves of the tire. Waaaaay easier. My tire was glued to the rim and the method recommended here wasn't cutting it. Lovely product but needs some installation/removal refinement.

you didnt take the tire off the rim? How you will you get the tube out? All I saw was some nonsense.

It can be ungodly frustrating but it can be done. If you get frustrated, take a break. Don't be like me. I tried forcing things and wrecked the rim removing my rigid DH tire with a wire bead. Also bent two tire levers in the process. The issue for me was that it took a ton of force to break the bead away from the rim, and after doing so it would pop right back into its slot when I removed the tire lever. What worked for me was using 3 sturdy DH tire levers. I pried the bead away in three spots close together, leaving the tire levers in place to keep the bead from popping back. Then removed the middle one and moved it to the outside to pry more of the bead away. If the bead pops back into place when you remove the middle one, pry it back and stuff something in there to keep it away from the rim. I kept repeating this until the bead was around 50% separated from the rim, then it started to get a lot easier to push the tire away and the bead stopped trying to reseat itself. Once the bead is unseated, it's just like removing a tire without the insert.

CushCore is amazing. I have them in all my wheels.i just starting using in my new gravel wheels and they are so nice. This is the best upgrade I have ever done to my bikes!

Thank you for being so considerate with your coustomers ❤. Everyone told me cutting my tyre was the only way. But this video really helped me. I would personally recomend using Maxxis tyre levers and gloves.

just buy a tannus insert. way easier. im running a tannus on the front of my DH bike and a cushcore in the rear ( which i bought out of frustration at a bike park before i bought the tannus) and the cush core is always a royal pain in the ass and the tannus is always super easy

No matter what you do, cushcore it’s incredibly difficult to install. No even my LBS wants to touch them. I am sending mine back.

I bought the emtb cushcore last week. Spent a whole afternoon trying to get the front wheel done. One bead took 3 hours. Broke 6 levers. I watched every single video including cushcore official vid. Called local bike shop to buy steel core levers, figured I’d ask how much they charge to just finish the job. They said $60 bucks, half hour turnaround. I get down there and then the said $60 EACH. Ok I guess thats acceptable. Oh and btw two days turnaround time. Then I drive home and the tech calls me back and says he can’t get them on, makes an excuse about I need a whole new tire. I go to pick them up to find out he UNdid the front wheel that took me all day to do. So now after having a “pro” take a crack at it, I am right back where I started minus one front wheel 85% done. This has been a nightmare. I have one cc bead bro showing up today from amazon. I know you need two AND you probably need the official CC lever. This is turning into a giant fiasco. I really hope they are worth it. They were recommended by a friend I trust so we shall see

fucking hate cushcore. don’t buy it if you have dh casing tires the bead legit does not go all that way on. i’ve been doing this for like 2 hours and gave up and went and played lego fortnite. shit is ass

Try to remove challenge 33m tire. I am really considering not to use inserts any more. Gluing tubulars seems easier 😂

best cushcore video I have seen so far, and I spend alot of time watching videos about the topic. That does not mean I was successfull LOL. At least not with new tires and cushcore. I bought used ones in a super condition. Call me a Cheater ;) But that is another thing here I like really like. You are actually using a brand new components which is a big difference. IMHO.

So, I got here because I was trying to learn what a bead dropper is after the ad selling outdoor stuff was also sell a bu+t p!ug, I don't know what a "bead" is in bike-speak but people who see what I saw will also see something-core and adding beads to the confusion could be... I'm just pointing it out since you seem to be just launching this product.

There’s no room to “drop” the bead on Maxxis Minions with CC Pros on 29” wheel set. A new level of frustration unlocked.

Definitely not doing that with Continental tires.
