custom build quiet laptop cooler on 2023 Lenovo Slim 7
gave me higher and consistent results, allows me to run quieter laptop profile, lowers temperatures, and gives higher clocks more consistently. I think it worked great. let me know if anyone is interested in a tutorial as Ill be finishing it soon (no zip ties weren't the forever plan).

Lenovo 2023 Slim 7 Advanced Bios unlock. also use the keyboard for bios navigation cause the touch pad in bios is terrible.

also note that Samsung gives a 10% discount for veterans, first responders, nurses, etc. This was included in my $ 1700 price.

so far the laptop is great. Ram is soldered with 1 expansion slot, there is also an extra m.2. Baulder's Gate 3 is the current thing. With DLSS on I get 100-130 FPS on ultra. 80-90 with it off. My custome cooled 1080ti setup struggles to get 60 on ultra and has very bad stutters for comparison.
How to enable xmp or expo from this?
In my IdeaPad Slim 5i 13500H, the advanced option in the bios comes and goes. I am utterly confused as it is not consistent. Please help me to get the advanced option in the bios if any of you know, how I can get that.
Lenovo is continousely patching these ways for entering their advanced settings, if it doesn’t work look for more information on the internet

Hi. Will this work on Lenovo Legion 5i Pro 2023 model with i7 13700HX. I want to access the XMP options for it. Since i have upgraded my gaming laptop myself with a 64Gb RAM-kit Kingston Fury Impact 5600MHz 2x32Gb but in task manager it runs at 4800MHz but in cmd memory test and in cpu-z it says the speed is at 5600MHz.
honestly not sure. I knew these two ways just from lots of digging for my own specific laptop. i wish it was universal with lenovo.

None of the 3 methods mentioned in the video or comments works for my Gen 8 Legion 7i Pro. It's so frustrating that they made it this hard.

I tried this with Lenovo LOQ and it didn't work.
Go to bios (F2) Hold Fn than R than N few sec press f10 Save and reboot. F2 again and boom. ;) Work on loq15 irh8

i think the reason why the bios with touchpad is terrible because it's prob 60 or lower hertz. Atleast that is what i think

Good afternoon, thank you so much for sharing how to get into the bios in the last video! However, for my Lenovov legion R7000P with the bios version "M3CN39WW" I only had to press the Fn key once at the beginning without holding it down. Anyway I wanted to ask you how I can increase forced power consumption of discrete video card, as I see power consumption limitation in all of them. And the limits are different for each game. For example, for Cyberpunk 2077 I have GPU consumes no more than 90W, but in FurMark GPU works at full power of 140W. And so in all games and always practically this underestimated number of power consumption, and judging by the indicators CPU is usually loaded less than 50%, and temperatures of CPU, GPU, video chips are kept at the level of 67-75 degrees maximum. So I can see that the card could run at higher power, but it doesn't do so. That's why I'm trying to understand how to increase the power consumption of the video card in the bios, or at least unlock the possibility of adjusting the "Power limit" parameter. I think you may know what parameters to change in the bios to achieve the desired result and can tell me what parameters (settings to change). I will be very grateful for your answer!

If someone has not been able to get into the advanced settings, try doing it a little differently: All this should be done in the open "More Settings" window of the bios for this laptop model 1)Press "Fn" once 2) press "R" and "N" keys once in turn 3)press "F10" key 4) press the "Enther" key. Then immediately re-enter the bios using the "F2" key. My bios is version "M3CN39WW" For some reason it worked for me only like this. Maybe it will help you too :) Thank you very much to the author of the video! It helped me a lot! I'm trying to figure out how to increase the Power limit, so that in all games the video card would consume full 125W of power instead of the fixed values of 60, 80, 90 watts for each game separately. If you are reading this post and can tell me how to do this, you will help me a lot with this, for which you will be very grateful :)

That is what worked for me. What laptop is it? I read the older Lenovo laptops you had to hold down Fn and press each key horizontally from q to p , a to l , then z to m , let go of Fn and press F10 . Click save changes and reboot into BIOS.
