The way Robin says "It's alright" sounds so heartfelt and moving...

I just want everyone to know that when my parents were dating, they watched this movie, and my Mom said “if you ever wanna propose, do it like that.” And then about a year later, my Dad proposed and went “you gonna marry me or what?” They’re still together after 28 years of marriage. Just thought that was a cute story

As fun as Daniel (the Robin Williams character) is, I can see why moments like the spelling bee moment, plays a huge part in why the wife wanted a divorce after 14 years. I can only imagine dealing with such embarrassing moments after 14 years. I'd get pissed off too. The Daniel character shows such a sense of entitlement during the spelling bee scene: He could have stayed in the background until a good moment presented itself.

Jerry Goldsmith's score is amazing. The music makes the scene and power the feelings.

Without saying a single word... for almost two full minutes... Shirley`s facial expressions are crystal clear: on the one hand she slowly realizes they are going win... but on the other hand she is terrified of Jerry. BRILLIANT ACTING.

The time pases by and after 28 years, I watched this movie again and it brought back memories of my unforgettable and infinite love Connie, I lost her and never saw her again. Not even time will return to touch her again.

Jerry Goldsmith was the greatest composer among a full field of skilled genies !

Why did he fold the paper? It is not a secret. Everyone at that table will know. Why not just say it or, if preventing people from overhearing is important, why not just write rhe number on the paper and give it them.
