You might really enjoy "Anchor." One of my favorite Skillet songs of all time.

More often than not Skillet's songs are not overtly Christian, but they have positive, Christian value based messages that are always in the undertone. This song calling out people that just want to hate, especially trolling online, is just how Christians should be: defending those who are under attack; being supportive and not derisive; speaking out when the message is lost.

Even though Skillet didn't say it outright. They sang about being a Christ Follower and standing up against the "norm" of society. And they have kept the dame values during their entire time as a badn. Not many do that. God Bless Skillet, and John Cooper for continuing to follow Christ even when it is hard.

The lead singer of Skillet, John Cooper, has also written a couple of books that talk about the concerning turns our society has taken away from God. They are worth a read. He has a podcast as well. I'm in my late 50's and can relate to his books and especially to the lyrics of this song. In recent years, our society has taken a turn away from God and away from truth. If you don't go along with it, they either attack you or dismiss you as irrelevant. This has happened to me in my family, in my work, and even in my social life. Now, more than ever, I find myself taking a stand for Christ because society demands you either comply or be cast out. Not even a choice I have to think about. I'll be an outcast for Christ.

I’m a Christian very involved in my Church and and I love Christian Metal and Christian rock. Skillet was my gateway into metal and much heavier stuff but this will always be my favorite band of all time. Loved your reaction and from one Christian brother to another God bless you both 🙏🙌😎🎸

Hadestown is fully sung-thru (there isnt any dialogue between songs) so if you'll listen in order, you'll get most of the context. I also suggest looking at at least the wiki description of what the musical or song is about so you guys dont get too lost or if you dont want to potentially be spoiled, watch the lyric videos. A good solo song from Hadestown is "Epic III", since it's mainly just Orpheus beautifully singing a story that has the main theme of the musical (love, trust, doubt). Another song that doesnt need a lot of context is "Flowers" as it's more of a "reflection" song. EDIT: The show uses a revolving and elevating stage that also goes up so Chant I is always so enthralling to watch as they make full use of it! Basic description: Hadestown is a re- telling of the greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice but set in the Great Depression and where Hades is the king of the Mine-- an industrial hell

What a great bass , and that color ! Wow that's a beauty. I actually have a few RICS myself , 4004,4003 and a walnut 4003s5 similar to yours. I gotta say the 4003s5 occupies a completely different space than my other RICS, and not because of the extra string. RIC created an entirely new instrument with the 4003s5. Yes the 33 1/4 scale length remains the same ( smashing the theory that a B string has to have a longer scale to sound good) but I think its those pickups that set it apart.

100th sub! Love the Bass! I’m ordering a 4003S in Fireglo in the first week of July and definitely gonna review it!

hey man, do you find that you get a lot of fret buzz particularly on the b string? i purchased an s5 brand new a while ago... long story short I brought it to my local shop for a setup and they said one of the truss rods were damaged and recommended I send it back to rickenbacker. so i did just that, only to have rickenbacker tell me they found no issues and that the bass was set up per their specs. I just cant shake the feeling that theres an issue. the action is lower than i prefer and theres virtually no sustain on the b string
